REVIEW FOR THE MOVIE "THE INTERVIEW."

THE KUHNS REPORT

LAS VEGAS - Hello America and how is the world treating you?

I was asked by a few people to  give a review of the  movie "The Interview."
Okay, here it is folks: "The Interview" is a dumb, stupid comedy.  It was aimed at fans and followers of  the humor set down by Seth Rogen and his sometimes collaborator James Franco.

The film was eventually made available by Sony to a few Independent theaters and online. This movie, turns out, isn't as sharp or politically motivated as the producers and stars suggested. The movie is  chock full of silly sight  gags --- fifth grader comedy and raunchy jokes. The movie suggests that the talk show host named David Skylark (Franco)  and his producer Aaron(Rogen) has a show that is one of Kim's (leader of North Korea) favorite shows. One day after a drug induced mind bender trip along comes an attractive CIA agent (Lizzy Caplan) who asks the two idiots to do the CIA and the country a big favor and  "take Kim out."

The Interview doesn't stray much from a stupid, party-heavy  scenario defined by these two men and is a repeat of prior comedies with  Rogen (if you want to call them that). The movie is heavy on cameos, childish acting, vulgar language and crass material. For adult enjoyment, this is a loser.

The stunt where Kim's head graphically explodes could have been left out of the film and I think the use of Kim's name could have been changed for the movie. Why provoke and agitate people when it would have been so easy to make a few cosmetic changes.

Personally, these two guys brand of comedy is not funny to me. There used to be a time in show business when comedians could make a movie and/or do stand up comedy without resorting to vulgarity and filth in order to get a laugh.

My conclusion: This movie is 112 minutes of constant profanity, an attempt at crude, sexual humor, it has some drug use and bloody violent scenes. My rating for this film gets a big C-, at best. - And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions, You decide.

NORTH KOREA IS  NOT THE HACKER- LOOK INSIDE SONY.

THE KUHNS REPORT

LAS VEGAS - Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

A supplemental note to my earlier blog regarding the SONY hacking and movie "The Interview."
Sony caved to president Obama's criticism. Obama, movie stars and politicians said Sony caved in to North Korea when they refused to release the movie. Obama also said it was a "mistake" for Sony to not release the film. Again, Obama and these talking heads automatically jumped to the conclusion that the cyberattack hack job of Sony came from North Korea. So  now it appears Sony will show the movie in approximately 200 theaters in America. Keep in mind that most of these theaters are Independent exhibitors but there are still a number of  large major movie chains that have not agreed to to reverse their decision about not showing the movie. I think these theaters are being prudent and using common sense because if there is a movie attack  guess who will be liable-- yep, the theater owners - -NOT SONY.

And, get this. A  national security official said U.S. authorities did  not rate the threats by the hackers against theatergoers seriously, But I submit, the authorities did not rate the prior behavior of the killers involved in the 2012 mass shooting at a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado seriously, either. Wouldn't you think that the government would want to err on the side of caution? Apparently not.

As mentioned in my previous blog a couple days ago regarding the Sony breach  I do not believe that North Korea is the culprit in this particular case. I certainly agree North Korea is a bad thug on the block and they are in fact, a rogue nation. But that is no reason for president Obama to make a blanket statement telling the world that North Korea hacked into Sony. I think he, president Obama got bad advice and is being fed bad advice by his circle around him. If that's not the case I would suspect he has a hidden agenda by targeting North Korea.

Folks, I said before and I say again that I believe  the Sony cyberattack was an inside job. I  would suggest Obama  rethink the situation and have his so-called investigators and the FBI direct their attention to Sony rather that North Korea. If I had to offer a profile  on who actually committed the cyberattack on Sony I would submit and offer some of the following: The person in charge of the cyberattack hack job is possibly a disgruntled ex-employee; an ex-employee that feels they were wronged by Sony (for whatever reason) possibly because the person may have been fired; a person who may want some sort of revenge; this person and/or persons had knowledge of Sony's servers; had access to protocol to infiltrate the servers and the capabilities to retrieve the information from Sony servers. I would also suggest that this person is a member and had or has connections to the  group ("The Guardians of Peace") who released the private information. It would not surprise me if this person set up the Guardians of Peace so as to cover their possible connection to Sony.

I should also note that based on my experience as an investigator it is my opinion the person who selected the information to be released from Sony files in all probability is a FEMALE. I base that opinion on  the type of information that was leaked. A female hacker, you say. I would say it's a good bet. I would also suggest that the female cyber thief is very well educated and clearly has knowledge of the programming language and techniques currently used world-wide by numerous hackers and hacking groups, thus, the selection of using  the Korean connection to act as (red herring), a false lead to mislead investigators. Keep in mind the same techniques used to hack Sony are used frequently on a daily basis by global hackers. The  type of cyberattack hacking used against Sony is clearly not  unique ONLY to North Korea.

All in all, I predict that this is not the last anyone will hear from the "Guardians of Peace." Once the movie " The Interview" is released , the group will in all likelihood rear its ugly head to speak out again. I only hope that there will be no actual bombing because of the Sony decision reversal. I am delighted to see there still are many large movie chains that refuse to show the movie. I concur with those movie theaters owners decision.

My concern is, if in fact, any member of the "Guardians of Peace" and/or any of their followers do commit a heinous act, such as a bombing in and/on American theater or property(whether it be tomorrow, a week from now, a month from now , etc.) how will all of these same people which may include but not limited to: president Obama,  named actors and actresses', media/television talk show gurus and lawmakers on the Hill in Washington  explain their position of shouting from the highest hill: "North Korea did it!" "North Korea repressed our  free speech." The blame game will run rampant and finger pointing will be the activity of the day. - And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM-THREE TRIPS TO MUSEUM IS TOO MUCH.

THE KUHNS REPORT

LAS VEGAS - Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

Trudy, from New Orleans asked me to review the movie :"Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb." She wanted my opinion - -so, here it is, Trudy.

To begin, it's stale and filled with childish humor. I would say the movie is only made for a children's audience. This is the third in the series of the Museum pics. This movie is like a tire retread and should be  way down on the bottom of your movie list.

All the producers did was  take a new location from New York's Natural History Museum to the British Museum. This movie franchise is putting out moldy and repetitious pieces  of work. The second  film, 2009 version, : Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian should have been the final in this franchise. Come on! A bunch of  old museum artifacts coming to life. That doesn't make for a funny movie, especially after three go-rounds.

However, it was good to see the late Robin Williams in his role as  Teddy Roosevelt. That was about the only good thing I can say about this movie. Trudy, this movie is just a recycle of the previous two versions. In fact, same old jokes and action too. This movie package ran out of steam two movies ago. It should be  put out of its misery. It should be buried in a secret  tomb with the mummies, forever. A THIRD trip to the museum, "yuck."

The running time on the film is 100 minutes; It has a rating of PG. It also has some crude, rude attempt at humor, same with the language. As to action, I would grade it tepid to mild, at best.
My grade for this bombaroo: (C- to D). - And, that'd my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

Thanks for the request, Trudy.

MUCH OF DR. OZ ADVICE QUESTIONABLE ACCORDING TO STUDY.

THE KUHNS REPORT

LAS VEGAS - Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

Getting your health advice off of television shows can be a hazard to your health. According to the British Medical Journal, who recently published a study analyzing Dr. Oz's claims along with those made on another medical talk show. What they found was startling.
Dr. Oz is called "America's Doctor", and syndicated talk show host Mehmet Oz  says he speaks in a way anyone can understand. Dr. Oz shouts to his millions of viewers about "miracles" and "revolutionary medical breakthroughs", which more than not are very questionable and may be totally false.

Has Dr.Oz , who frequently peddles miracle cures for weight loss and other medical ailments, threw medical truths and veracity under the bus and traded  them in for television ratings and crass entertainment value?

Is there smoke to the accussioins or is there a hint of fire surrounding his medical circus. He was recently called before Congress, where Senator Claire McCaskill, D-MO told him to his face that he was giving people false hope and blasted him for his television segments as a : "recipe for disaster."

Example of his advice: Last month , a study he touted, promoted and praised  about a coffee bean weight-loss pill was RETRACTED  dispite Dr. Oz's assertions that the weigh-loss pills could "burn fat fast for everyone who wants to lose weight."

The claims made by Dr. Oz was closely looked at by the researchers led by  Christina Korownyk of the University of Alberta and she and her team concluded that medical research didn't substantiate Dr. Oz's claims ... or outright contradicted ... more than HALF of Dr. Oz's recommendations.

Personally I believe these  goofy medical talk shows are dangerous. They clearly lack specific and adequate information and/or the magnitude of how their advice will affect the viewer who tries  the medical cures. I suggest that the television viewer take all of this television medical advice with a grain of salt,-- be suspicious, be skeptical.

Currently the "Dr. Oz Show" ranks in the top five talk shows in the U.S. and has an estimated  2.9 million viewers and another medical talk show "The Doctors", which was also studied in the report paper reports viewership at  2.3  million a day.

It appears Dr. Oz and others medical television shows only look at medical ailments as how they can market it for themselves. In fact, Oz told the New Yorker: "Cancer is our Angelina Jolie. We could sell that show every day." A  published article implied that Dr. Oz has to  get real. The article titled "Reality Check" said "There Is No Such Thing As A  Miracle Food ." The journal of Nutrition and Cancer slammed Dr. Oz's assertions that endive,, red onion and sea bass can decrease the likelihood of ovarian cancer by, get this -- a whopping  SEVENTY-FIVE (75%) PERCENT.

Folks, look at these medical shows like "Dr. Oz" as entertainment. Oz comes across as nothing more that a performer, an entertainer. An example: He said data  shouldn't stop patients from testing out things like raspberry ketone ...a " miracle in a bottle to burn your fat" ... EVEN IF IT'S NEVER BEEN TESTED. Really? Wow!

Oz told a U.S. Senate hearing he"personally believes in the items I talk about in my shows." " I give my audience the advice I give my family all the time." Is that scary or not, folks? Why, because the researchers with the British Medical Journal selected at least 40 episodes from past year, and examined 479 separate medical recommendations Oz made. The result was that the researchers found evidence enough only to support 46 percent of Oz's recommendations, contradicted 15 percent and wasn't available for 39 percent regarding Oz's recommendations So Basically the British Medical Journal research. "discredits" more than half the claims made by Dr. Mehmet Oz on his talk show.

Bottom line people - - these television doctors are only there for entertainment value and many can come up with some far out crazy ideas. They are marketing their brand folks and that's their end game. -- And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

OBAMA MADE RIGHT DECISION ON CUBA. SENATOR RUBIO PLAYING POLITICS.

THE KUHNS REPORT

LAS VEGAS - Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

Senator Marco Rubio, who is considering a presidential run said Sunday that president Obama has thrown away valuable leverage to bring about a political change in Cuba. What a bunch of political garbage that is. President Obama made the right decision to resume a better relationship with Cuba. The move is long over due. Rubio also attacked his potential presidential Republican opponent, Kentucky Senator  Rand Paul who, like me, agrees with president Obama's decision. Rubio, who is Cuban-American says that Obama's new policy will not bring democracy to Cuba. He said:  "What the president has done will not do anything to further the cause of "democratization" Is he kidding?!

When all of the young Cubans living in Cuba see a level of openness between the USA and Cuba and such things as, the lifting of many restrictions on travel, imports and the transfer of monies , Internet use and other areas that now hold back the Cuban people, Cuba will be brought into a whole new world of wonder. Democracy as we know it, probably not, but Cuban president,  Raul Castro has already said that we, the United States should respect their form of government just as they respect ours.

The young Cuban generations love American things. A recent 20/20 news program interviewed some of the young adult Cubans in their country and the majority want the United States and Cuba to come together. Fact is, these young Cuban adults don't remember why the embargo and restrictions were started in the first place.

Rubio and his ilk still doesn't get it: It's people like him that try to force the United States way of democracy down the throats of other countries. How did that work out so far? People,  look at Iraq and, Afghanistan for starters. We started wars saying we the USA will bring our form of democracy to these countries, instead, all we did was instigate, provoke and instill hard feeling and hatred with the peoples of these countries, and in the process killed, maimed and destroyed causing the people of those nations to come to hate America. Rubio's thinking is totally lopsided. It's childish thinking. And this guy wants to be president --

Hell, for decades now we have  been carrying on  relationships with such countries as Vietnam, China, Russia, Saudi Arabia, just to name a few and clearly the U.S. is always saying these countries are violating human rights against both men and women. These countries have anything BUT a democracy like the United States, yet we deal with them on a daily basis and think nothing of it. So why should we enforce a 50 year embargo and inflict restrictions on Cuba when they do not do half as much bad things these other countries do? My answer is: We shouldn't. I submit we, the USA should have had normal relations with Cuba all those 50 years.

Rubio also said: Cuban democracy activists "feel betrayed" by Obama. What he doesn't tell you is these Cuban activists are the older generations of Cubans that came to Americas shores in  the  1970's and in the  boat lifts era. The beliefs and thoughts of those older Cuban generations regarding Cuba's democracy and independence fight doesn't even  connect with the young Cuban generation.

However,  Senator Rubio in his quest to be a nominee  for president of the United States apparently has a hidden agenda by fanning the flames of the millions of old generation Cubans in exchange for votes in a presidential bid.

It appears Rubio is afraid of the competition from Rand Paul  in a presidential face off. He states that the Senator from Kentucky,  Rand Paul does not know what he is talking about. What? It is Rubio who looks like he wants to suppress Cubans from breaking out into the world. He essentially wants to "isolate" Cuba and it's people and maintain a 50 year old status quo situation. And Rubio's obsession with Rand Paul is such that he is continually trying to tie Paul to Obama's coat tails. saying Paul agrees with everything Obama does. What a crock, folks. Don't believe that poop. It takes a good politician to say they agree with the other side of the aisle and compliment the other side when they do WHAT IS RIGHT. On this Cuban matter Obama did very good in formulating the package and Paul agreed with Obama's policy in this case. That my friends is a mark of a good politician.

I say to Rubio, if the rigid constraints that was put on the Cuban people has not made a change in FIFTY (50) YEARS ,doesn't one  believe that changing that stance and loosening any embargo and penalties will certainly make the Cuban people's  life much better. My answer would be a resounding YES.

The deal that president Obama made with Cuba was in the making for a long time and behind the scenes talks between the two presidents had the support of other leaders of the world which included a large piece of work by the POPE himself, who took a special interest in the  matter. After due and careful consideration all parties involved came up with the final deal that was  announced  by president Obama. It was and is a good deal. Personally, I do not think it went far enough. I suggest that Obama use his powers to remove any and all restrictions only leaving ONE small item on the books so as to satisfy the current law. The president could do this if he should chose to do so and I I would like to see that step taken. It's time to treat Cuba as a friend NOT a foe.

Another personal observation of mine is that I suspect Rubio has his nose bent out of joint only because he was not asked by president Obama to participate in the important talks taking place. Secondly, because  Rubio himself didn't have the where with all and the foresight to bring Cuba into the 21st. century and Obama accomplished what he could not do and that fact sticks in his craw.

In all probability Rubio's only interest in the Cuban situation is garnering votes from the old school senior citizen generation of Cubans living in Florida and around the country.- And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions You decide.

SONY MADE RIGHT DECISION-OBAMA BLAMES NORTH KOREA: I WOULD LOOK ELSEWHERE

THE KUHNS REPORT

LAS VEGAS - Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

Sony canceled the release of the movie "THE INTERVIEW" after hackers said they would bomb theaters that showed the film. Many movie stars and politicians started to snivel and cry that it was a cave in on the part of Sony which restricted "free speech." President Obama even put his two cents in by criticizing  Sony. These people apparently believe that daring terrorists to bomb theaters and places here in America  is a good thing. They're saying, in effect, "knock the chip off my shoulder, I dare you." How dumb is that?

This is not a case of another country trying to impose "censorship" on the United States like some want you to believe. The threat by the Guardians of Peace should be take seriously. They want to make a point and bomb theaters if the movie is shown. So I would say, why agitate and provoke these crazies? Just stop the release of  a movie that many critics gave the thumbs down to who said the film was basically a piece of junk . You can't blame the theaters. They wanted to protect their moviegoer patrons and I am in total agreement with their actions. What  movie theater owner would want  the death of one or more people their hands? Their liability would be over the top if an attack occurred after being warned. And you can bet all of the politicians, actors and headline grabbing people would be the first to bad mouth any and all theaters that showed the crummy movie "The Interview" after experiencing a bombing.

I think Sony's C.E.O. Michael Lynton did the right thing by pulling the movie. They, in fact though about the  welfare of the American people. Sony said they were concerned about the possibility of a cyber terrorist bombing and the killing of people in theaters located in shopping malls and communities around the United States. One of the main reasons Sony did pulled the movie is because many movie theaters around the country REFUSED to show it. I believe they acted prudently and correctly in making the decision to  stop any showing of the movie. You also can't blame the the theaters. They wanted to protect their moviegoer patrons and I am in total agreement with their actions. What  movie theater owner would want  the death of one or more people their hands? Their liability would be over the top if an attack occurred after being warned that the attack would occur. And you can bet all of the politicians, actors and headline grabbing people would be the first to bad mouth any and all theaters  that showed the crummy movie "The Interview" after a bombing.

Can you imagine if Sony went ahead and  allowed the film to be shown in  theaters around the country and even just one theater was bombed somewhere in  the U.S.  killing a number of moviegoers? All of the talking heads and the president would be the first to accuse Sony of total disregard for the American peoples safety. They would accuse Sony of being greedy and only interested in making money. In all likelihood  the people blasting Sony for their decision would insist that Sony should have known the terrorists claim was sincere. These same idiots would want to sue Sony for the deaths of God knows how many people who may have died in a bombing.

I guess the president, politicians and others fail to learn from experience. The  terrorists we are now fighting in Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria told us (the USA) years ago they did not want us on their soil and/or meddling in their internal affairs but the arrogance of the USA, the White House, and war monger lawmakers initiated and commenced a war, one lasting 13 years and still going. The terrorists recently beheaded a number of Americans telling America that the reason for their vicious acts was because the USA would not leave their country. It is very clear that terrorists say what they mean and have no compunction about retaliating against would-be enemies.

Folks, this cyber attack on Sony was planned in advance by the "Guardians of Peace." They knew exactly what they wanted to do -- and did it. They intentionally released private information to the Internet like they said they were going to do; they then released a second batch of information like they said they were going to do  -- SO, what makes these clowns in Washington, the White House and the movie industry think that the group would not bomb one or more theaters ... killing people here in America and elsewhere.

The president, some over-the-hill politicians in Congress and others including some movie stars that want their fifteen minutes before the cameras claim it is a matter of free speech and democracy. Come on! It's  nice to wave the flag and be patriotic but to outright dare terrorists from around the world to bomb theaters and kill Americans is lunacy . Hell, it's ONLY a movie people and from what I understand from some  movie critics, a bad one. Get a grip. Sony erred on  the side of caution and clearly did  not want to be responsible for any theater bombing and/or the  death of even one American. Plus, keep in mind Sony lost MILLIONS of DOLLARS by pulling the film off of the market. And get this, some of these billionaire actors and actresses are currently SUING SONY because information about them was released on the Internet. I would wonder why they are suing Sony. It is acknowledged that this information release was a cyber-terrorist act. Sony certainly didn't have any control of what the terrorists did.

And, to complicate the matter even further  we have race-baiters like Al Sharpton jumping into this situation screaming that there is a divide between whites and blacks at Sony after hearing about some comments made  in Sony emails. Here he goes again trying to mine gold by inflaming racial hatred. That is how Sharpton and others exist.  He and others make their living in front of the news media pretending to ask for justice (as they see it in their own mind.)  I personally wouldn't trust Sharpton or believe anything he said.  He has a reputation of slimy, sleazy acts going back decades for stirring up mobs and  encouraging racial hatred even before the days of the Tawana Brawley rape hoax of 1987. Lets not forget the Duke  University rape hoax of 2006 Sharpton got involved in nor the Ferguson riots that he also took part in.

Lets not forget sleazy Sharpton's  past actions. He  counseled and represented a teenager (15-year-old)  Tawana Brawley years ago.  Sharpton and others concocted a story and accused police officers and a prosecutor of a gang rape against this teenager. In October 1988, a Grand Jury concluded that there was no rape whatsoever. The attorneys representing Brawley had their  legal license revoked and Sharpton was found "guilty" of defamation brought by prosecutor Steven Pagones.

But still, today, in 2014, he was at the side of New York City Mayor deBlasio a few weeks ago where both men made anti-police comments. Sharpton also demanded and got an audience with Sony executives.  If I were the Sony executives I wouldn't have let Sharpton and others like him who agitate, provoke and stir the flames of racial hate to set one foot in the office. His gobbly-goop is the same as it has been even before the Brawley rape fiasco years ago. Basically, he says, hire more blacks and fire some of your executives or my Network organization will picket, march and boycott your organization. To me those tactics sound a lot like extortion. But Sharpton  and a few other groups spouting his same point of view and game plan have been making such demands on corporations and businesses for decades and many corporations and businesses have caved to his demands. This from a man who has, LIED, CHEATED , manipulated a 15-year-old teenager to take part in his offensive, deceitful race hating  plan of accusing police officers and a prosecutor of gang rape. My question: Why is Sony even allowing this type person in their office?

It appears many people are jumping on the band wagon to attack Sony for their decision making. Yet, if a bomb did explode in any theater anywhere in America these same looney tunes would talk out of the other side of their mouth saying they were not expecting a terror group to carry out a threat.

As a side note it is reported in American media and by the FBI that North Korea is responsible for the theft and release of the Sony information. I would pose the question: What if North Korea didn't do the cyber attack? These accusations against North Korea appear to be the Iraq weapons of mass destruction  (WMD's)  scenario all over again. Hussein kept insisting that his country did  not have WMD's but our lawmakers and people in power in Washington made up stories, manipulated and manufactured documents and information to tell the American people that Iraq had WMD's so there would be an excuse to start a war. In the Sony case some politicians and war hawks look for someone to blame and rationalize their acts. Now Washington, with the complicity of the FBI is BLAMING North Korea even though no one really knows who, where or why and how Sony was hacked. It's a blame game people -- like always. But the administration is determined to make North Korea the boogy-man for reasons only know to Washington.

I don't believe North Korea is behind the hacking. I have always maintained from the get-go that the information accessed and released ,especially about the movie stars that came out suggested to me that the Sony hack was an INSIDE job. I also believe that the FBI once again  jumped to the conclusion that North Korea did the hacking just to "stir the pot" so to speak. As always the FBI wanted to look like the white hat good guys but in reality may have an agenda to incite the powers to be in Washington and the White House to take action against North Korea.

Let me put it this way: The so called programming hacking  format that was used to hack Sony had a lot written in Korean but rather than investigate thoroughly the G-Men jumped the gun and already made flat out statements that they knew FOR CERTAIN and had evidence that the hack came from North Korea. What some of the lame FBI investigators didn't know was that the  program language and methods used that contained some Korean indices is used by tens of thousands of hackers and hacking groups around the world and those same characteristics used in the Sony hack are used daily by millions of hackers world-wide. Talk about bad investigation - -it looks like the FBI continues to bungle investigations by using innuendo, suppositions and manipulation in order to make a case. This is not the first time the FBI had egg on its face and it won't be their last. As a former criminal investigator myself it's hard for me to understand the mind set of some of these investigative agencies when they overlook obvious connections and try to shortcut investigations.

Again, my take on the Sony hack job is: It was an inside job. Someone who had an ax to grind with Sony. Revenge, extortion, etc. Someone that had knowledge and access to the servers at Sony. I would tell the FBI and any investigating body looking into the Sony breach to look for an ex-employee, possibly one that was fired in the not to distant past; one that knew the Sony server protocols and one who had the knowledge and capabilities to reach into the Sony servers. The selected information that was leaked about the actors and actresses SCREAMS --- INSIDE JOB because it appears the hacker(s) specifically wanted those persons to take action against Sony.

So, president Obama, FBI and all the lame-headed lawmakers on capitol hill that is  going off half cocked  rallying the American people against North Korea based on suspect information  told them by the FBI I say your sniffing up the wrong skirt. Look inside Sony FIRST.

Kudos to Sony, their administration and staff for not trying to be macho and dare any terrorist group to bomb America, to kill Americans and kudos to all of the movie theaters who REFUSED to show the film. Both Sony and the movie theater owners used common sense in making the decision to pull the film from theaters. --  And,  that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

BILL COSBY SHOULD TRY SOME HONEST REDEMPTION.

THE KUHNS REPORT

LAS VEGAS

Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

Marilyn, from Ohio, asked my opinion on the Bill Cosby matter. So, here it is Marilyn. If all of the  allegations that have surfaced are true then I believe there should be some kid of an apology from Cosby. Since statute of limitations apply after all these years I can't see where any criminal action could be taken against Cosby today.

That said, personally, I have no use for predators and according to all of the information provided by the large number of women  that came forward describing  the alleged sexual acts I think there should be consequences to the alleged predator.

It appears that all of the complaining women tell the same  story:  They allege Cosby drugged them and then committed sexual acts upon their bodies, without their permission. Most all tell the same tale and all said they were afraid to come forward because no one would believe them and because  he was : "BILL COSBY"

It was also reported in the media that person(s) in the entertainment industry knew of Cosby's  alleged crimes, but said nothing. It was also reported that  at least one case was settled before it went to court.

The sad part is: How does a man that has most everything they would ever want stoop to DRUGGING women to have their way with them sexually. I'm sure that Cosby could have had many women just by asking them to sleep with him. There are tons of star struck women in the country that would have sex for the chance of being in a movie, sit com, or whatever. It happens every day. The movie/entertainment industry is rife with that sort of thing. But possibly, Cosby, for  reasons only known to him decided  that his way to have sex is to incapacitate  the woman  by drugs and have his way. Was he afraid these women would say "No?" Did he think he couldn't  get  these women in bed without drugging them? Who knows? Cosby is not talking. Apparently, if  the  allegations are true. That was Cosby's  "mode of operation."

Yet, the hits, keep on coming, don't they? It seems another woman comes forward most everyday. People often say, where there's smoke there's fire but in Cosby's case it looks like a firestorm.

The networks were right in cancelling  any upcoming television show that was  in production for Cosby. I say they were right when they  took his old Cosby Show off the air and will stop running all those reruns and it was correct when the Letterman Show pulled the plug on Cosby's appearance.

What does bother me is some of the people here in Las Vegas allowing Cosby to still appear at the TREASURE ISLAND Hotel and Casino. I think they should have cancelled his upcoming shows. It is reported that the owner of the Treasure Island Hotel/Casino, Phil Ruffin,  is a very good friend of Cosby's so since he owns the hotel he has the juice to let Cosby go on and appear there.  My thought would be  -- WHY? Is  raking in the money from curiosity seekers worth the reputation of the hotel/casino?  I think the prudent thing Ruffin and his Treasure Island Hotel/Casino could have done was follow suit with the networks and cancel his appearance. But - -THIS is VEGAS folks and  juice goes a long  way. Shame on the Treasure Island Hotel/Casino for enabling this alleged predator. Cosby's credibility has taken a nose dive around the world. However, this hotel.casino continues to present Cosby. The Treasure Island Casino even said all proceeds from Cosby's shows will go to charity. I say, that doesn't make it right. Cosby's contract and any future contract at the hotel/casino should be cancelled.

Would I pay to see the man perform? No!

Where's the women's groups. They should be taking to the streets here in Las Vegas protesting Cosby's appearance at the TI.

Some of my thoughts in this matter are that Bill Cosby's situation should be treated similar to how the  nation and public treated O.J.Simpson. Shun the guy, don't pay to see him appear in public. Why would you?  What would he say during a performance  that would be of interest to  an audience? Public opinion counts for a lot.  I also predict the Cosby situation will get worse with each new revelation that seeps out. It's clearly  not going to get  any better, especially when Cosby, himself, refuses to discuss the case or face any of his accusers.

I would say to Bill Cosby - -seek redemption Cosby. Go public, talk about your  sexual indiscretions that occurred over the decades and ask  the public for FORGIVENESS. That's a step forward and will be some semblance of closure for the women who said they were drugged and raped by you. - And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions., You decide.

OBAMA, LIKE A KING, WAVED HIS PEN AND GAVE AMNESTY TO MILLIONS. THAT'S WRONG!

THE KUHNS REPORT

LAS VEGAS

Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

Today, November 21, 2014, President Obama came to Las Vegas to tout his immigration executive order.

If Congress believes his actions are illegal why didn't they stop him before he could put a pen to paper allowing approximately 5. 3 million illegal immigrants to stay in America. What about injunctions? Don't they apply to the president? Doesn't the law apply to  him? I'm sure Congress could  find a way to stifle this unconstitutional  end run around Congress allowing all these illegals to remain in the United States.

I see Obama's move as strictly political. The Democrats lost the mid-term election so he (King Obama) wants the Democrats to regain the majority in the 2016 presidential elections so he plays the Hispanic card to win over the Latinos in the 2016 election. In addition, remember,Senator Harry Reid from Nevada is running again and it is no coincidence that ( Emperor Obama)  decided to travel to Las Vegas to sign his immigration executive order. Why? It is one of the largest Hispanic  communities in the United States. Politics as usual? You bet. Two-Thirds of all of these illegal individuals that will benefit from Obama's  mish-mosh  act are from Mexico .

Obama's crazy move on immigration is the biggest change since President Reagan gave millions of illegals amnesty in 1986. Then Reagan promised that his amnesty would stop the flow of illegal aliens into the U.S., BUT as history can show, it didn't do that. In fact, the illegal aliens coming into the United States grew by millions - - some say (11 million), others say (14 million)  and there have been reports that the actual figure is really (21 million) illegal aliens living in the U.S.

I submit that this political game by Obama  and his administration dealing with "illegals" will only encourage more "illegal aliens" to "illegally" cross into the U.S. In 1986 amnesty didn't help and this BACK DOOR amnesty of Obama's will not help stop the flow either.  What will stop the  illegal aliens from coming to America is strict enforcement, Some of my suggestions would be:  A fence running the  full length of the Southern border; a substantial increase of Border Patrol agents actually patrolling the border; more intense video monitoring along the full length of the border; increase in drone surveillance;  mandate that ALL EMPLOYERS in the U.S .use the E-Verify Identification system. If the person is found to be illegal through E-Verify, -- "No work." Chances are the "illegal alien"  will head for their home country when they find they can't get work AND E-VERIFY will do that. Then, an important aspect  to quash the "illegal alien" flow would be to ACTUALLY send the illegals back at the point of crossing the border.

Currently Obama and his NANNY administration issued orders to immigration officials, law enforcement and his justice department not to arrest illegals, UNLESS they are criminals. What a joke.  I would say that when an illegal sneaks into the USA - -that is an illegal act. Thus, they are indeed a criminal.

Obama and his ilk clearly want to dismantle the law enforcement powers of those agencies that can and should enforce the laws we already have on the books regarding immigration. Our law enforcement officers swore to uphold the constitution and the law of the land but Obama and the Department of Homeland Security has issued policy to these law enforcement people to ignore the law. Can you imagine? Fact is, Obama and his  cadre of  wimpy colleagues SUE law enforcement and state and local agencies claiming that their efforts DO NOT match federal "enforcement priorities."

Recent polls have indicated that the majority of Americans disapprove of  the president's call for AMNESTY and they want Obama to work with Congress to resolve the immigration nightmare. Further the people of America feel that  they would like to see Obama's administration FAITHFULLY and HONESTLY administer our nation's laws rather than pick and choose the ones he wants to manipulate -- and that includes the immigration system.

This move by Obama  with his executive order will now allow MILLIONS of illegals to get jobs and work, (according to  the president) but I offer the view that  we have millions of actual legal U. S. CITIZENS out of work struggling. Consider all of the veterans that returned from combat that need to find a job and earn a salary. These  "illegal aliens" that Obama gave his blessings will now take those jobs from the Vets and American citizens - -DON'T KID YOURSELF, that will happen.

Finally, it appears that the toughest Sheriff in America. Joe Arpaio filed suit against Obama and his administration over Obama's immigration end run--Hooray!!! Why doesn't Congress and states do the same?

Boy, will I be glad when Obama's term comes to an end. He is mucking up  this country beyond recognition.  As you all know, I am an independent voter. Always have been and always will be. I vote for the person that I think will do the best job for the country and when Obama first ran for president and articulated his ideas I DID vote for him. I thought there would be a change, as he promised.  But after finding out he lied to the American  people and clearly  backed off of a number of things he promised AMERICA I voted against him the second time around. This guy has dragged America down, way down. Under his so-called (ha, ha) leadership we see the economy in the toilet, job losses, wages down, he is causing and funding  perpetual wars around the world, his administration prints money whenever they need it, causing the value of our dollar to sink like a rock -- and , the list can go on and on with Obama's failures.

People, we need better to run this great country. Here's hoping that the Republicans enormous win in the mid-terms will put them on notice to get things done, and quickly. For starters, the Keystone Pipe Line project-- thousands of jobs will be good; redo infrastructure in the country - -more jobs, that's good. Repeal the current Obama Health Plan and undo Obama's political immigration move because AMERICANS DO NOT WANT AMNESTY and that is what Obama has  done today. - And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

BRITNEY SPEARS LAS VEGAS SHOW BUMS PEOPLE OUT.

THE KUHNS REPORT

LAS VEGAS

Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

"Britney Spears Day"  and presenting her with the  key-to-the city? What a joke. It looks like Las Vegas is reaching to the  bottom of the barrel. Caesars Entertainment artists congratulated her for becoming this years biggest Strip star. Who are they kidding? The PR people for Caesars is trying to put a good face on the failing drawing power of Ms. Spears.

As I said before in blogs regarding Britney Spears, she is an over the hill "bubble-gum" pretend entertainer. When she was brought to Las Vegas by the casino honchos to perform (if that's what you call it) they paid her million dollars for a contract. Now I bet they are wishing they had never signed her to a long contract. I've always maintained she is not "star" power and for  the PR push that she is this years biggest Strip Star is laughable.

Her show in Las Vegas is a dud. I predicted that Spears would bomb out even before her opening night in Las Vegas. Now there are reports that she has tons of unsold seats at her performances. The Halloween show only sold  half of the tickets for her show. Billboard magazine reported that in October,  Britney sold only SEVENTY-THREE (73%) percent of seats for her show.

I also predicted early on before she opened in Las Vegas that since she was a pretend entertainer and "lip synced", pretending to sing songs that the audience would not buy her routine. It appears I was right on, again. Complaints from around the country is that she li syncs,  mouthing the words to the songs. And, get this, this lady also charges $2,500 for a meet-and-greet. Who in their right mind would want to pay $2,500 to shake the hand of someone who  only pretends. Maybe if it were $5.00, it would be worth meeting her. But $2,500? Come on! Talk about a rip off. Entertainers that actually sing their songs and have name recognition never charged that much  for an up close.

Ticket sales for Britney are so bad that her promoters said they would give "free" tickets to people named, "Britney" and to top that, the person didn't even have to spell their name like Britney's. It could be any variation on the name Britney. That's sad, folks. Anything to fill the seats, right? But even that did not do it. Sold out audiences for Britney doesn't happen and won't happen. It takes a lot of talent for a person to sell 4,600 tickets at  $525.00 dollars a pop PLUS a fee-for seats each and every show. And talent is something Britney cannot conjure up.

I suggest you could put a Styrofoam mannequin up on stage and play a juke box in the background and get the same type of performance Britney  does.  Hell,  she just stands there pretending to sing the songs and at times when she tries to moves about the stage she appears to be lagging behind any dancers that try to accompany her.

All the show really does is present music  which people can dance to. It's not meant to showcase a live, singing performance. Anyone could enjoy that same sound  by playing a CD, minus Britney, her dance troupe,  and get the same feeling.

I think the casino execs are trying a little  to hard to sell this Britney Spears package. - And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

SGT. ANDREW TAHMOORESSI RELEASED FROM MEXICAN JAIL

THE KUHNS REPORT

LAS VEGAS

Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi was finally released from a Mexican Jail after 214 days of incarceration. Due to pressure put on Mexico's government by United States officials Tahmooressi is free and in Florida. There was a lot of arm twisting and arguing . In the forefront was  a push from former governor Bill Richardson, New Mexico; Ed Royce (R-CA); Matt Salmon (R-AZ) and quite a bit of congressional criticism of the Obama administration  for  not doing enough to get the sergeant released from Mexico. No American should ever be locked away in a Mexican jail and/or prison. They are "hell holes." The only way some foreigners survive in the Mexican jails and prisons  is by bribing the jailers and government officials. It is no secret that corruption pervades in Mexico and often times it is the only way to receive an ounce of relief for anyone held in custody in  that country. In any event the sergeant is free - -Hooray!!

The Mexican government arrested Sgt. Tahmooressi  when he went into Mexico with weapons and ammunition. The Mexican government has very strict rules and policy about bringing weapons and/or ammunition into their country. Tahmooressi said it was "just an innocent mistake" that he carried guns into Mexico but the Mexican government didn't buy his version which resulted in his being held in a Mexican  jail for 7 months.

Sergeant Tahmooressi's attorney and family said that the sergeant was confused, mixed up and had Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) when he arrived in Mexico with the weapons and that the only reason he had weapons and ammunition in his car was because  "it made him feel safe".  Now that he's home I would hope that his family would see the folly of allowing their son to ride around in a car with weapons and/or ammunition inside "just so he can feel safe." It's a train wreck waiting to happen. Acts of that nature has to come to a screeching halt.
.
Now that Tahmooressi is back home with family I would think there are some issues that should be addressed. For instance, his mother said that  he dropped out of college because he could not concentrate. It was also reported that the sergeant was still in the Marine Corp Reserves.

Being an ex-Marine myself I would wonder why a person who had PTSD would still be serving in the Marine Corp. If this man has trouble adjusting to in life how can he lead others in the corp and carry out military duties and tasks if, in fact, he is truly affected with PTSD. The criteria for PTSD lists a host of mental dysfunction that clearly would prevent him from serving at any competent level in the Marie Corp reserve.

I would  suggest that Sergeant Tahmooressi be treated for the PTSD and separated from any  and  all military duties. Lets just look at the one instance about carrying weapons (guns) and ammunition around in his personal vehicle (because it makes him feel safe). I'm sure any person in the United States would like to carry weapons in their  car so they, too, can feel safe. But it is not reality. We can't. Laws prohibit such acts. I am sure Tahmooressi knows that and he should not get a pass because he is said to experience PTSD.

It's not uncommon for military personnel returning from their tour of duty who has PTSD to be retired and/or separated from military service and later commits felony acts involving a weapon(s) and I woulds submit that is one reason why this sergeant should never have or been allowed to carry weapons around in his car, (no matter what reason he, his family,  or attorney uses as rationale).

If  Tahmooressi is afflicted with PTSD and medical records substantiate that fact there is only one solution,TREATMENT. Treatment is the answer. Pay the man his medical/veteran benefits and separate  him totally from any further duties with the Marine Corp and/or any other branch of the military service. In addition, keep him away from any type of weapons to prevent him from doing harm to himself or others. There are many options  for him to feel safe and secure without weapons within arms reach.  If, on the other hand he does not have  PTSD, then allow him to continue to serve in the Marine Corp reserve and get on with his life.  But don't have it both ways. - And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

A  JUDGE LIFTS QUARANTINE. NURSE HICKOX  THUMBS HER NOSE AT MAINERS.

THE KUHNS REPORT

LAS VEGAS

Hello Americas, and how is the world treating you?

Nurse Kaci Hickox, 33,  is in the state of Maine, suing so she can run around among the general public. The state of Maine should not buckle under to this nurses threats. I would think that state health officials rules, regulations and mandates would trump a whining woman's total disregard for the safety of people's health and well being. But it  looks like wrong-minded, uninformed judge Charles LaVerdiere lifted the quarantine for Hickox. What does that tell you about people in the legal system who may have an ax to grind or has a political agenda? Instead of putting the welfare and health of the  people of Maine first this  judge let Hickox have her way as she thumbs her nose at the authorities. That's sad. My view - -nurse Hickox should have been taken into custody as soon as she left the residence. She should not be allowed to defy a quarantine.  Governor  Paul LePage should appeal this judges decision.

I would think if voters vote judges to the bench in Maine they should dump LaVerdiere  next election cycle.  I believe nurse Hickox complaints should have been tossed out immediately by the judge and any judiciary body. If we have judges in Maine that care less about the health and welfare of  its citizens I would suggest that the state of Maine's legislators take action and pass legislation to be certain other  judges follow mandates of health officials. The legislators should  make it perfectly clear that anyone coming in from West Africa be isolated and quarantined for the 21 day period. No excuses.

The judge said: "The court is fully aware of the misconceptions, misinformation, bad science and bad information being spread from shore to shore in our country in respect to Ebola," He also said the court is fully aware  that people are acting our of fear and that this fear is not entirely rational."

Wow!  The judge is suddenly a clairvoyant, a swami,  maybe he's  a latent medical  God of infectious diseases who, from the mountain top, makes his pronouncement that he knows people FEAR Ebola. He states people are acting out of fear when they request and require a quarantine. To him I would say - -No! Judge  LaVerdiere, people in the health community and government officials are acting in a rational manner  by placing restrictions on ANY possible Ebola infected person coming into the USA from West Africa.. These officials are acting in a prudent and reasonable manner when they initiate a quarantine policy. In Hickox's case the health officials and lawmakers were clearly acting to protect Mainers, as a precaution against Ebola. I would suggest that Judge LaVerdiere is the one that is out of touch and does not have the slightest inkling regarding the possible ramifications  of the lethal disease.

Keep in mind nurse Hickox  came home from West Africa and REFUSED to stay home and abide by a voluntary quarantine. She lied and broke  promises she made to state officials - - bluntly speaking, she "lied."

Here's a woman that appears to  be ignorant of the fact that there is a possibility, (no matter how slight,  she could infect the general population if she goes out among  them. Where's her concern for others?  This arrogant nurse, above all people, should have concern for the health and safety of others. But apparently she doesn't. However, it looks as though she wants her 15 minutes of fame in the spotlight so people will recognize her. I would think that in a lot of peoples minds she appears to be a totally untrustworthy person. And, then to top it off,  one of her antics was daring and inviting the media press people to shake her hand, touch her. What a stupid stunt. I would think until there is actual, definitive proof as to how the deadly Ebola can be totally erased from one's body without any recurrence in future all Mainer's and others around the country should consider using caution when interacting with a person that interacted with an infected Ebola patient.

I said it before and I say it again - -even the health official experts in the government does not really know and have a full understanding of the effects of Ebola on an individual. It is all GUESSTIMATES. To date there is no complete treatment and/or cure for this deadly disease  and there are NO  FDA-approved vaccines or cures for Ebola, and the experimental drugs to treat the disease are in the very early stages of development . I submit it would be more than appropriate to err on the side of CAUTION. Thus, quarantines should be imposed on any and all persons arriving from West Africa and definitely should be placed in at least a 21 day quarantine. That includes health care workers.

Will the fatal disease rear it's ugly head again  in a mutated way down the line? Will it, or can it lay dormant in an infected persons body for years and then reappear in some form or manner that was unknown or unexpected by the health care community?  Could that happen? It's possible. The  so-called experts doesn't really know. But if and when it does I predict there will be  a lot of finger pointing. There will be statements such as: "we had no idea that this would happen." "we had no plans for that to occur." "It wasn't our fault, we had no way to predict it."

Just as an example- look at some of the medications doctors prescribe today for various diseases and ailments. They prescribe the drugs saying the medication will help alleviate  and/or cure the disease. Guess what? In many cases, it doesn't. Two, three, four, five -- even ten and twenty years later they find that the medication did not do the trick and in fact did harm to the person and/or a disease has  mutated into another deadly strain. There are lawsuits everyday over bad medications and the damage it caused to a person years earlier. The harm is discovered only years later. By then it's too late. Who knows what the result will be of the medications being used on the Ebola infected patients today? Will they really rid the persons body of all and any traces of the Ebola disease? It's an unknown, people. As i stated before: look at Chicken Pox. It lies dormant in a persons body and then often  reappears causing Shingles, which can cause blindness, nerve pain for life, and even death. Then there is the reappearance of Tuberculosis which is now resistant to present day  medications. Now we are back looking for a cure, again.

I keep  shouting from the rooftops: Any person suspected of being exposed to an Ebola patient should be ISOLATED immediately; QUARANTINED immediately, treated at ONE LOCATION, ONE SPECIFIC FACILITY, by a specif team of health care workers. CONTAINMENT is the name of the game as far as I'm concerned and all of the above steps will accomplish that.

But people, containment with certainty will never happen until the ONE LOCATION, ONE FACILITY is enacted. Again, just within the last 48 hours another suspected Ebola patient was admitted to a Portland, Oregon hospital. I believe that patient should have been sent to a location specific for Ebola treatment rather than a hospital in a major city. The possibility of errors occurring at random hospitals across the country is like an accident waiting to happen.

What I also  disagree with is president Obama scolding Americans  and saying that anyone exposed to Ebola patients should not be isolated and quarantined. He goes on to say that doctors and nurses will not want to go to West Africa to treat and work with Ebola patients if they are going to be isolated and quarantined when they return. What a bunch of gobbly-gook that is. From my experience in the health field I found that doctors and nurses treat patients around the world mainly because they want to do the right thing and adhere to their oath. Being quarantined for  a period of 21 days after return from an infected country is just part of the package and they should know that going in.  Contrary to Obama's view I would say that the dedicated doctors, nurses and health care workers would not  let a 21 day quarantine, observation  period stop their commitment to doing their good deeds.

Obama is  not looking our for the security of Americans when he refuses to have every person  coming into the country from West Africa placed in quarantine for the 21 day incubation time frame. That move would be a prudent, common sense approach and I applaud Governor Christie, officials in Florida and Illinois  for putting in place stringent rules for possible Ebola infected individuals. Even the Pentagon is taking the step to isolate and quarantine military personnel who return from West Africa for the  21 day incubation period. And now Canada is banning flights from West Africa in to their country.  It seems every reasonable country and person is taking legitimate precautions against Ebola but - -Obama refuses to see the benefits and advantages to stop Ebola in America so he sticks to his stubborn point of view with total disregard for Americans.

Folks, it is my opinion that Obama and his  government health officials are just playing politics and wanting to be politically correct. And for him to side with nurse Hickox is a slap in the face for all Americans that expect the government, especially the administration , to protect their health and welfare. Obama says he does protect us  and the government says they do. They pass laws to keep people from smoking; what kids can eat in school; what they are not allowed to eat out of vending machines; what type of oils people fry  their food in. Mrs. Obama even has the government push rules and regulations to have children and people eat cardboard tasting, yucky food in the name of fitness.  This is all in the name of "we know what's good for you." " We'll take care of you Americans from birth to death." That is their battle cry.  YET, when one of the most deadly diseases on the planet is brought to America, Obama,  and his political correct government officials refuse to take a firm, hard stand on the Ebola crisis because they choose to play the voting, politic card. - And, that's my opinion.Make your own decisions. You decide.

GOVERNOR CHRISTIE'S APPROACH TO EBOLA RIGHT ON TARGET

THE KUHNS REPORT.

LAS VEGAS

Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

It looks like Governor Cuomo is back peddling and playing along with Obama and his political correct posse when it i comes to QUARANTINE of suspected Ebola patients. I applaud the Governor of NJ, Chris Christie, for sticking  to his guns. I also applaud Illinois and Florida for deciding to quarantine possible infected Ebola persons.

The head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Dr. Tom Frieden, falls in line with Obama and tries to rationalize Obama's refusal to quarantine  possible infected people. This guy has been falling down on the job since day one of the Ebola crisis yet Obama continues to  put credence in his abilities. But in reality, Frieden will do and say anything his puppet master (Obama) wants him to say.

I submit QUARANTINE is a MUST. What is the first thing these government health officials said was necessary --- yep, quarantine , and  they did just that with the infected patients. But when it comes to a quarantine on travelers suspected of carrying the lethal disease they use excuse after excuse "not" to quarantine. We have one nurse, Kaci Hickox, who recently returned from an Ebola country who was placed in quarantine and she  cried and complained that the quarantine was "inhumane" and that she's being picked on. She even threatened to sue. And guess what,  she was released from quarantine. The government health officials should have told this whining, nurse to WOMAN UP! Quit your whining and do the 21 days, lady. I have no doubt that her employer would still pay her for the days she was out . Result: The nanny conditioned White House and health officials cave in and agree that there should be no quarantines regarding people  coming in from the Ebola infected countries. Can you imagine?

People, we have no CURE for this deadly virus and until we have a specific, accurate treatment for Ebola it WILL NOT ever be contained. It is no secret that most everything the government talking heads have told the American public so far about  the Ebola virus has been proven to be WRONG and/or untrue.

These muddled health officials led by Obama's cadre' continue to tell us that a quarantine on a national scale will not work, but do you notice these same people quickly QUARANTINE each and every person with EBOLA. It's as simple as 2 plus 2 equals four to a fifth grader. Hell, if there is someone who has Ebola that person should be kept away from those people that DO NOT have Ebola. It's not rocket science - -QUARANTINE  them for the suspected incubation period of 21 days. But the political word from the White House ignores the quarantine issue because they have an agenda.

Folks, so far the government spent approximately $500,000, just on patient Duncan in that Texas hospital for his Ebola treatment. Apparently it costs about $500,000 per patient and we have been treating patient after patient and I predict it will get worse and the cost will continue to rise as the Ebola patients increase. Duncan and his family didn't pay dime one for the treatment. They got a  free pass and I suspect all the other patients that have  been treated will have a ZERO medical bill from the government (courtesy of OUR tax money.)

Dr. Frieden and his colleagues that have been advising Obama should be turned out to pasture, in fact, FIRED would be better. They appear to me to be a bunch of Keystone Cops  blind to the dangers of a serious situation.  All in the name of politics. That's sad.

Governor Christie has it right and those other lawmakers from other states that agree with Governor Christie's position HAS it right - - QUARANTINE the traveler's. Better safe than sorry, right? Once the Genie has been let out of the bottle, it will not be able to be  put back in and contained. Governor Christie is on the right track.  I sincerely hope he doesn't waffle like Governor Cuomo.

Like I preached before in earlier blogs, I said from the start of this Ebola outbreak: AIR TRAVEL BANS is a must. Do not let anyone infected with the Ebola virus into the United States. Treat them at the source in the country where they contracted the deadly virus.  If there is any infected person diagnosed  in  the United States the protocol should be: ISOLATE immediately, QUARANTINE immediately and treat the infected person at ONE specific LOCATION in ONE SPECIFIC FACILITY with a specific team of health care workers.

And finally, any person coming into the United States from Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea and West Africa countries shoud be QUARANTINED in isolation for the 21 days, away from any and all other people, with the exception of the health care workers observing and working the case. - And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

VOTER PHOTO ID SHOULD BE THE LAW OF THE LAND.

THE KUHNS REPORT

LAS VEGAS

Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

The courts allowed Texas voter ID law to go forward. Hooray!

A majority of the Supreme Court on Saturday rejected an emergency request from Obama's Justice Dept. and Civil Rights groups  to prohibit the state of Texas from requiring voters to show certain forms of photo ID in order to cast a ballot.

We have all these nanny's and  cry babies saying that requiring someone to  show a photo ID at the polls before they vote is mean and  discriminatory. What a bunch of  manure that argument is. The  groups that are against photo ID also say that it will affect Latinos and Blacks because the poor people can't afford an ID. WHAT? Are they kidding?  I believe that most everybody in the nation has some form of ID with a photo attached.

Many of the people that these groups and  whimpy lawmaker's talk about already have ID's. Let's remember everyone generally needs an ID to cash a check; open a bank account; drive a car; collect city, county , state and federal benefits, such as welfare and social security. Even to buy alcohol in a 7-11 or  liquor store the person has to show ID. They also need a passport and proper ID to travel into and outside the United States so -- hey! Come on.

The problem is the lawmaker's opposed to photo ID and the special ethnic groups that oppose the Photo ID plan clearly want people to vote that should not  be allowed to vote. Many of these lawmaker's  and groups have an agenda to allow illegal aliens and minorities to vote, perhaps multiple times.

One of the main reasons they oppose photo ID at the polls is that people can't afford an ID. Boy, are they reaching for straws. People, in many states if a person doesn't drive and have a drivers license the state will issue a state photo ID which  basically looks like a drivers license ID. It has a photo, age and other pertinent data to identify that person holding the identification. Plus Texas and other states that ask for voter ID give the  prospective voter ample opportunity to present other forms of photo identification . It's not like a person cannot identify themselves.

When my mother stopped driving at the age of 85-years-old, she relinquished her drivers license but she needed a photo ID so the state of California issued her the PHOTO ID for identification purposes. As I recall the cost of the photo ID card at the time was only $2.00 or $3.00 dollars. So my question? If a person claims they currently do not have a photo ID how much trouble is it to pay the state a few dollars to acquire one? If the person is elderly and can't afford the cost of a state ID card (as the people that oppose voter ID) claim. Why can't the children of the elderly person spring for the few bucks to have their parent issued a state ID card?

Folks, the other argument from those that oppose voter photo ID is that: there is not voter fraud occurring at the polls. They say because of that fact a voter photo ID card is unnecessary. How wrong  they are. There IS voter ID fraud occurring every election throughout the country. People vote  more than once. Others who are illegal aliens and people who do not have citizenship in the U.S. have been caught  casting ballots in an election. However, the groups and people that are opposed to showing a photo ID at the polls want to turn a blind eye to the fraud. Many of the groups and people have an agenda. I submit they actually want the illegal aliens, non-citizens and the fraudsters to cast a ballot. Some political parties  feel it is to their advantage to  have illegal votes cast in order to sway an election one way or the other.

I suggest that the only reason an individual would not want to show a photo ID to  authentic their person is because they have something to hide, (i.e.) they're not a legal citizen; they are an illegal alien; they are using a fraudulent name (some other identity); they are afraid to show up at a state office and present proof and identification that they are in fact the person who  wants to be issued a voter ID card.

But keep in  mind many of these same people that have objections to presenting a proper ID card at a voting booth are the same people that have  NO problems presenting identification to collect social security benefits, welfare and food stamps, cash a check, show identification when asked to identify themselves by a law enforcement officer, dealing with the school and educational system, etc.

So what is their big gripe about not wanting to show proper identification in order to cast a vote? They seem to be able to identify themselves for many other reasons -- why  not when casting a ballot to vote.  I submit the Supreme Court should make it the law of the land  that any e person who wants to cast a ballot in an election should have to  present a photo ID to verify that  person and their vote in in fact, legal. Voting in America is one of the most cherished rights an American citizen has. It should not be mucked up by a political party, a special group and/or a fraudulent person.  Finally, who would be afraid to show a photo identification at a voting booth if they are a legal citizen of the United States? It's clear that a state ID card is available to anyone in most states (at a very nominal fee, sometimes free), if they can prove who they are.  And, that's my opinion. Make your own decision. You decide.

THE ELDERLY LOSES OUT ON SOCIAL SECURITY COST-OF-LIVING (COLA) AGAIN.

THE KUHNS REPORT

LAS VEGAS

Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

Preliminary  figures suggest that the cost-of-living adjustment, or COLA will e less than  two (2%) percent com e January 2015. The government says gasoline prices are down from a year ago and so is the cost of clothing. Prices of meat, fish and eggs are up nearly nine(9%) percent.

Folks, those of us who depend on social security are feeling the squeeze and the idiotic small, tiny increase year after year. We people on social security continually lose that increase not only in the short-term, but we lose the compounding over time.

For the middle-class, for people who DO NOT qualify for low-income programs, they have to dip into their savings (if they have any) or they are borrowing against their homes  to get by.

Congress enacted automatic increases for Social Security beneficiaries back in 1975, when inflation was high and there was a lot of pressure to raise benefits. For the first 35 years, the COLA was less than two(2%) percent ONLY three times. In fact, if the COLA is less than two(2%) percent next year, (2015), it would be the FIFTH time in six years,

Folks, the elderly seniors are being dinged over and over again. They may get a small, pittance of and increase but generally the cost of their Medicare  share  goes up and in most cases the  person doesn't see any increase to spend. It is eaten up in the government's automatic raise for health care. So the small, tiny increase which will probably be (1.7%) is "zeroed" out, leaving the person with no increase at all.

I want to remind all you elderly people out there on social security that Congress, Federal employees, and public sector workers have seen  annual cost-of-living increases each year ranging from THREE (3%) percent, FOUR, FIVE and SIX percent. Some have even received up to a TEN (10%)   percent cost-of-living increase. So, tell me that's fair? It isn't.  The (lawmakers, federal employees, and public employees) have clearly look out for their own well- being and retirement but in essence tell the elderly senior citizen ( let them eat cake) while they gorge at the government pigs trough.

I would suggest the elderly people and all of those  dependent on social security benefits take to the streets demanding at least a THREE (3%) percent guarantee  annual cost-of-living increase. It can be done by Congress if they want to do . They just have to rewrite parts of a law. If it's good enough for the Congress, federal employees and public employees to receive 3,4,5,6 and even ten percent cost-of living increases each year, it should be good enough for the elderly seniors depending on the benefit.

Finally, I would submit that EVERY person in America, including (Congress people, federal employees, public sector employees) have to be enrolled in the social security program. Their employers and themselves should have pay into the social security system just like all of us PRIVATE sector people holding down jobs. Their retirement expectations  should be no different than what we in the private sector expect to receive when we retire.

As it stands now the social security COLA's are chained into the Consumer Price Index (CPI) . Many Democrats and advocates of older Americans have put a thumbs down on the  CPI indexing for a Social Security COLA.  They want a more generous COLA, that they say would reflect price increases faced by older American who clearly spend more of their income on health care. I totally agree with those Democrats and advocates of the elderly who want to see the social security COLA increased. That said, Congress should get of it's duff and find a way to calculate the COLA for social security increases that deal with reality. We need Congress men and women to stop looking out for themselves and think about the older Americans in this country and do what is right-- increase the annual COLA's other than depending on the CPI calculation. I would suggest that congress make sure older Americans receiving social security benefit COLA's see at least a THREE (3%)  increase each and every year, at a minimum. That is fair.

You can bet that if all of the Congress people, federal employees and public employees were paying into the social security system like the rest of us common folk the fund would be more than stable and secure.  Further, you can bet that if those lawmakers, federal employees and public employees had to depend on the social security benefits on retirement, (like the rest of us),  not on the public dole, the social security fund would never be in trouble because those government people would have some skin in the game  and wouldn't let it go for broke - -no matter what. - And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

TRAVEL BANS, ISOLATION & QUARANTINE IS THE ONLY WAY TO STOP EBOLA.

THE KUHNS REPORT

LAS VEGAS

Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

President Obama selected a Czar to take charge of the Ebola situation. Wow! A czar. Didn't we go through this czar routine over and over again, especially with the DRUG CZAR's. Where did that get America? We lost the drug war decades ago. The czars didn't do a bit of good. Did they? Now an "Ebola czar"  named Ron Klain, is Obama's point man. But folk, this guy has no medical or public health experience and background. He is nothing but a political appointee representing the White House.Klain was Obama's first choice for the position when I would think if Obama was that concerned about the health and welfare of the citizens of the United States he would have selected a person a least with infectious disease experience.

I suspect that this political friend of the White House is nothing more than Obama's way of dodging the bullet of being accountable for the Ebola crisis. This is just part of a dog and pony show by the White House.

Obama talks a good game but lacks the ability to take positive, responsible action in a crisis. He listens to a close group around him and in all likelihood goes with a majority consensus of the group meeting. The president came out and and said: " I have no philosophical objection"  to imposing a travel ban on West Africa but after talking wit his health officials and security advisers he came up with the excuse that it would be less effective that the measures already in place -- and would be counterproductive. Are you kidding? There are other countries around the world implementing  travel and visa bans on those from the West Africa. Again, the president is behind the curve and out of sync with other nations which will, in my opinion be a costly mistake.

Federal officials that are currently advising the president, said during a recent meeting that they place a special emphasis on the importance of stopping the virus in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea to "protect" Americans and the rest of the world from its spread. So Obama goes on TV and radio and says "we have to stop the Ebola at its source."

I agree . The fact that we have to stop the Ebola at it's source is necessary BUT that doesn't mean allowing infected people from these countries to travel will-nilly on airplanes and cruise ships to enter the United States. STOP it at the source, in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea. That means ISOLATING the virus to those countries and dealing with it there. Until we have a resolution and solve the Ebola problem, we should NOT allow any traveler's from those infected countries into the United States.

People, it appears  the president and his federal health officials talk out of both sides of their mouth. The Federal policy and protocol is FIRST- ISOLATE the infected patient. However, they refuse to isolate the patients from our  borders. I suggest isolation is no different than isolating ONE patient here in the USA in a hospital versus isolating any and all traveler's from the countries spawning the disease. I suggest health officials and the president do as they say - -ISOLATE the disease at it's source , keeping it contained in  those West Africa countries, treating it there. NOT HERE in the USA.

White House spokesman Josh Earnest said the United States was already taking the necessary steps to protect the public. He also said: " the chances for a widespread outbreak in the United States remain "exceedingly low" despite the shortcomings in the governments initial response." That should give Americans confidence? The government officials has been screwing up continually and they screwed up right out of the gate by allowing the first patient to be brought back to the United States.

I say that if a disease is to be treated at the  source like Obama and his misfits claim, then they should not allow even one more  person into the United States that is infected with Ebola. The borders of the United States is every Americans house and should be protected from someone walking into our house with a deadly disease. ISOLATE the infected people to their own house, and treat them there, their own country. That's their house.  Further, I suggest that if  the president and his posse of talking heads want to treat the Ebola virus "at the source" then send our expertise and expert doctors in to those countries, the infected peoples house and treat them right there, on the spot, containing the disease "at the source."

Already we had infected patient Duncan, then infected nurse, Pham, then infected nurse, 29-year-old Amber Joy Vinson and don't forget the other doctors the administration allowed back into the U.S. before infected patient Duncan passed the disease on in America.

We are told that the second nurse (who was allowed to monitor herself) contracted a fever and went to the hospital. She was "isolated" within 90 minutes. Folks, that's an hour and a half and we are to feel confident that the health workers are doing a good job taking that long to isolate someone with the fatal Ebola virus. It shouldn't have taken that long to get anyone in an isolation unit. Talk about falling down on the job, Christ, they sure did. A lot of people could have been exposed and infected in 90  minutes.

It's very nice that these federal health officials go on television and show some workers wearing gowns, wearing rubber gloves and covering their sleeves and then taping the gloves but hey!!!! Does that make you feel confident? I don't. These  show- and- tells are for a play on television and is supposed to impress the American public that we are safe and  that  health care workers are being particularly careful.

With all this show- and- tell and assurances from the White House and federal health officials I would offer that this circus is nothing but (PC) "political correctness." As I predicted in an earlier blog the infected people in  the West Africa countries could quickly reach 10,000 or more a-week and as  this administration would have it, it's okay. They keep harping, "let these people come to the U.S. but how many infected people do we have to have come into the U.S. before we are "the source?!"

Folks, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that if we keep allowing infected people to travel freely to our country we will soon  have an epidemic here too. Common sense, folks. Using visa bans and banning air and cruise ship travel to our country will certainly prevent more infected people invading our shores. So, this stupid argument from Obama and his know-it-all crew that air travel bans won't work is unwarranted.

I also believe that these  laser temperature guns and questionnaires  is  a farce. People will :lie" on the questionnaire (infected patient Duncan did). Those tactics are just another way to placate the American public into believing everyone is safe.

We all need a passport or some type of travel papers to go from country to country. Is the USA to wishy-washy to ask other countries to flag those people that have visited and/or lived in the West Africa countries in question? It would be no big task to have that done. They should be flagged and prohibited from entering the United States. The people from those countries could be held in quarantine for the 21 day symptom appearance time period.

And, finally, as I suggested before - - the "Q" word. Lets quarantine  the infected people. We are not dealing with the common cold, we are dealing with a "death" sentence. Like I mentioned in an earlier blog I had occasion to go to the Leper Colony in Hawaii in the early 1950's, I can attest that  what we consider isolation, was not isolation at the colony. The infected people lived in  great housing quarters, they had  most all of the conveniences, even drove cars. Many drove the  Henry J. Kaiser automobile, which was popular in the early 50's. The Leper Colony was a living, breathing community. All the residents were Lepers and they did not consider themselves isolated. My point, even isolation can be made to be enjoyable.  Now, 60- years later the world has many conveniences that make life much better than it was in the 50's. The age of the computer, iPhones, Internet are just some of the things available. Large screen TV's, spas, movies, restaurants, High Def, super large screens for a a person to Skype  a call around the world is available. So, in quarantine an infected Ebola person can have all the toys at their disposal to communicate  world-wide, enjoy restaurants and social activities in ONE LOCATION without exposing their fatal disease to the general public.

Again, as I've suggested in prior correspondence -- ONE LOCATION, ONE FACILITY, manned and staffed by an expert team of health care workers to treat infected Ebola patients.. -  And , that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

ANOTHER IRRESPONSIBLE INFECTED EBOLA PATIENT RUNS AMOK.

THE KUHNS REPORT

LAS VEGAS

Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

The Ebola virus still keeps rolling along here in the USA. As I predicted  in earlier blogs there are those people that contract the Ebola disease and fail to report it to health officials UNTIL their symptoms are in the treatment stage. These people only think about themselves. Take  infected nurse, Amber Vinson. She thought nothing about taking a flight from Ohio to Texas. This woman put 70 or more fellow passengers at risk. In fact, the CDC is attempting to track down all of the passengers that was on the same flight as Vinson. Vinson was isolated when the plane arrived in Texas but keep in mind some of those passengers were within THREE feet of this infected nurse. She also exposed relatives and friends once she spent time in Ohio. It is reported that the state of Ohio is now trying to monitor 100 people this woman came in contact with.

The CDC health officials flatly stated that Amber Vinson SHOULD not have flown on  the plane saying she should have known better. But again, this is just another reason to quarantine and isolate ANY possible  infected  person for at least 21 days until the supposedly incubation period of the disease  has passed. Until Dr. Thomas Frieden and his ilk stop allowing  health care workers to voluntarily monitor themselves for the disease this merry-go-round will continue and the Ebola will spread. Health officials  HAVE to mandate and make it an order that anyone working in and around the Ebola patient be monitored by a team set up to do just that one task - - monitor health care workers.

Because of  this woman's total disregard for other people the relatives of Vinson who work at Kent State were asked to remain off campus. Lets see how that works out, right? They should not be asked - - I believe they should be ordered to stay off campus and quarantined for the 21 days in their own residence completely away from the general public. Hell, even  Vinson's apartment had to be decontaminated by teams of workers and all the residents in the building had to be notified. All because of the actions one person, Amber Vinson.  If Vinson was around children they may have been exposed, if so, they should not be allowed inside a school for at least 21 days - - and, I have my doubts regarding the 21 day monitor period. But that's another story all in itself.

Frieden, the director of the CDC, who acknowledged  "LAPSES" in his and other health officials handling of the Ebola outbreak still is  sugar coating the real dangers of Ebola virus. He says:  " The risk to other passengers on the  Frontier Airlines flight  is "very low." To me that is displaying a lack of urgency and seriousness of the disease. And yet, Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins, the county's chief political officer, said authorities were "anticipating" additional Ebola cases. He went on to say: " We are preparing for contingencies for more, and that is a real possibility."

Folks, you can bet there will be more. I've said that all along but as some health officials  tell America that there is nothing to worry about, other like Jenkins know there is something to worry about but still continue the "rosy glasses" routine.

Finally, I would suggest that the  men and woman that have been infected with the Ebola virus and disregard the welfare and well-being of other Americans by going out among the  masses should be held accountable and prosecuted. If exposing others to a deadly disease is not a crime, I don't know what is. And, I'll say it again and keep saying it until some of these dummy health officials and the administration listen up: That is, ONE LOCATION, ONE FACILITY. Isolation, containment and quarantine is the path to go down. Otherwise we will continue to have  infected patients like DUNCAN, (who lied), and Amber Vinson , who knew better than to fly on an airplane in her condition but did so anyway. It is people like this that will perpetuate the disease, passing it on and on to others. - And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions, You decide.

EBOLA VIRUS CONTINUES TO INFECT- WE NEED ACTION, NOT WORDS

THE KUHNS REPORT

LAS VEGAS

Hello America. and how is the world treating you?

The Ebola fiasco is still happening and as I stated in earlier blogs some of the people supposedly in charge still don't get it.

I also mentioned previously that there should be "ONLY" one center to accept and treat Ebola patients but because of political correctness the health officials turn a blind eye. For example, I mentioned in an earlier blog that I had occasion in the early 1950's to spend time at the Leper Colony in the Hawaiian Islands. The entire Island was dedicated to housing and treating Leper patients. The medical staff was trained, were constantly on site,  and had specific protocols and policy set up to treat the Leprosy and none of the Lepers were in contact with the general population off the Island. I would have to say that the isolation and the treatment given the Leper community was well organized and controlled. The disease was well contained.

As I proposed, specialized treatment units and location are ideal. That should be the watch word.
With the resources  the United States has it would be no problem to set up ONE location and ONE facility where all possible Ebola infected people are treated and cared for by a group of trained staff. From day one of the Ebola matter I have always maintained that the  federal government and its health authorities should mandate and require any/and all Ebola patients be sent to a highly specialized "containment" center. Money spent for the protection of Americans should come first, rather than giving BILLIONS of dollars to foreign countries who take our money and spit in our face.

It has been reported that "new" data  suggests that even "tiny droplets" of a patients body fluids can contain the fatal virus. And, I emphasize the word "new." So, believe me when I say that one careless nurse, doctor and/or health care worker can pick up some secretions and/or body fluids and spread the disease.

Again, I say that allowing each and every hospital in America to accept possible Ebola patients is a losing battle. Why? Because each and every hospital's emergency room is clearly NOT prepared to isolate , contain and take infection control precautions. Hell, at the present time there are hundreds of thousands of people that contract illness and disease while spending time in a hospital. In many cases a  patient comes out of the  hospital with a disease that  is worse that the ailment they went to the hospital for originally. Infection control in hospitals in the United States at the present time is dismal. Many patients become gravely ill, some die. A hospital-acquired infection is called "nosocomial" and the biggest offender causing a nosocomial hospital-acquired infection is "lack of hand washing." It's hard to believe but the truth is the truth. Doctors,  nurses, technicians and support staff frequently touch patients before  washing their hands, thereby transferring a virus and/or disease on to an unsuspecting patient. And now, these health officials tell Americans that they have everything  regarding Ebola under control? Hell ! If they cannot even wash their hands before treating a patient, what makes you think that they will not take short cuts and break policy and protocol with the fatal Ebola?

Case in point: One of the nurses, (26- year-old, Nina Pham) who treated infected patient Duncan at Texas Presbyterian contracted the  Ebola virus and then she came in contact with others at the hospital. There were also at least 70 other hospital staffers who were involved in  Thomas Eric Duncan's care. I would think these people warrant watching and monitored. Nurse Pham must have violated or ignored protocol in some way if she came down worth the virus. She contracted the virus and according to the talking heads that claim to know everything about Ebola say that policy and/or protocol HAD to be broken in order for Pham to contract Ebola. I believe it is "unacceptable" to have a health care worker contract the disease. You can't have it both ways, people. There is no such thing as being "only half pregnant." It's an  "either -or" situation. Pham either broke protocol or she didn't. My view is that if she followed policy and protocol she would NOT have contracted Ebola. The conclusion being: She contracted Ebola so she MUST have broken protocol and/or policy. Lets face it - - If you go to bed at night and there's NO snow on the ground and you wake up the next morning and there IS snow on the ground , one can conclude that indeed, it did snow during the night.  But the sad part of this case is Dr. Frieden initially indicated the nurse broke protocol in some way, shape or form BUT after a group of nurses complained about his statement saying he's blaming the nurse--Dr. Frieden., the head of the CDC back-peddled, and softened his remarks and apologized to the world and the nurse. Wow! What's that tell you folks. Here we are dealing with one of the most  deadly diseases in the entire world but to be politically correct and to sooth over hard feeling of a specific group it appears Dr. Frieden bends with the wind and is willing to change views in a heartbeat. Does that give one confidence in the governments edicts? I think not.

I see one of the failures in policy/protocol as  allowing these health care workers  who work with isolated Ebola patients to"self-monitor" themselves. As it stands, it appears health officials have been relying on an "honor" system . They expect health care workers to report any potential exposure and watch themselves for symptoms. I see that clearly as a dangerous move. Any health care worker may be afraid to report any symptoms and/or knowingly fail to report symptoms. I would offer the following: Have any and all  health care workers involved in Ebola treatment monitored by a team of experts. The government health officials  should not leave these workers the option to monitor themselves.

Folks, small hospitals across the country are not equipped to handle Ebola patients. They never will be. I have no doubt that nurses and health care workers in every position is  "frightened, afraid" because of the training they never received or the inadequate training they may have received.

I suggest that the  people  in charge like, Dr. Tom Frieden, head of the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention and state Health officials throughout the country are a "day late and a dollar short." Now, and only now, they are  screaming and yelling that they "will" set up training, policy and protocols. They intend to ramp up training NOW? Where were they when Ebola reared it's ugly head years ago? Ignorance is bliss, isn't it? I say Ebola training protocols should have be set up and in place years ago. I think people have been sleeping at the switch.

Mark my words, these health officials who are now telling Americans there is nothing to worry about will argue against treating any and all Ebola infected patients at ONE location, ONE facility. I will further predict these same health officials will say it's dangerous and high-risk to "transfer" the patient because it has potential to expose more people to the virus. To me, that's a lame argument. The Ebola patient would have to be transported in any event, whether from a residence, business, off the street, etc., by health care workers wearing the protective gear that was used to transport the first doctor who was brought back to the United States for treatment. So transferring the patient directly to one specific Ebola facility at one specific location for  isolation, containment and treatment would not be as dangerous as  allowing an Ebola patient to  "try" to be treated at some small hospital emergency room in some small town or city where the risks of an error would be enormous.

As I write this I understand that Dr. Tom Frieden, head of the CDC again went to the media and said something like: "We have to rethink how we handle Ebola." " Even a single case of Ebola is unacceptable." No kidding!

Here's a few suggestion(s) for the health officials that would rather talk, than act.

1.  Look at  the type of protective gear being used to  handle an Ebola patient.
2. Minimize the number of  heath care workers caring for an Ebola patient.
3. Have one specific team work with the Ebola patient.
4. Have members of that team trained with  specific policy and protocol to be followed by the numbers, checked off a clip board, not unlike a (flight check for pilots) as they gear up and progress through each phase of treatment and carried out to removing the protective gear.
5. And, most of all, transfer any/and all Ebola infected patients to ONE LOCATION, ONE FACILITY where all data, medical records and treatment can be closely monitored and controlled, preventing possible exposure to the general population outside the facility.

Note:  The one facility, one location for isolation and treatment might be: a particular military base that has been closed for years. It could be set up with the most sophisticated equipment and staffed with  the trained medical personnel most able to treat and care for Ebola patients. I would think this would  put  the military base to good use. The patients. would be centralized, contained and would avoid exposure to the general population of Americans. There also would be no opportunity for the Ebola infected people to ignore quarantine  rules and regulations.  They could be housed on the base as thousands of military men and women have been before the base closure.

A secondary suggestion could be  that Ebola patients be transferred to a ship for care and treatment. Keep in mind the United States has a number of medical ships already operating around the world and it would be easy enough to treat Ebola patients on a ship. Remember many of the ships in the United States fleet house 3,000, even 4000 or more individuals and since we already know how to equip a ship for medical treatments, one could be specific for Ebola patients. Again, One location, one facility.

6.Conduct frequent and periodic checks on any/and all health care workers and personnel working in the Ebola facility and around infected Ebola patients.

There clearly is many other suggestions that could and should be put in place to protect all Americans from the deadly Ebola but the ones mentioned herein is a start.

Finally, here's a scary though people. I predict that it will only be a matter of time, in the near future, before an illegal alien crosses our Southern Border carrying this deadly virus. And if I were a betting man I would put money down that the illegal will co-mingle with people in the community and pass the disease on to others before it is detected. By then -- the spread of this killer disease will be much more difficult to trace. That is what is happening right now in West Africa. People in those countries and their relatives are infected and they fail to report it. The result is now over 4000 deaths  and climbing, as of this date. I would estimate that within 9 months to a year the death toll in West Africa will reach at least 10,000. per month You can bet that the same will occur here because of our porous borders if Congress does not address the problem.

I  predict this scenario will happen because of our weak-headed lawmakers in Washington who are still playing games with securing our borders. Christ, they don't even want to suspend flights into the country or place visa bans on these West Africa countries (which would be a great first step). So wishing and hoping this lame Congress will  get some back bone, step up and "secure" our borders to " prevent the spread of Ebola" is just that - -wishful thinking. It's been reported by West Africa officials and officials in the United States that the Ebola epidemic in West Africa is clearly  "out of control." What does Congress not understand about "out of control?" You would think our lawmakers in Congress would learn by experience and from the past but they continue to ignore the warning signs and allow the lethal Ebola virus to gain a foothold in America. First, it was ONE patient, that ONE turned into TWO, TWO turned into THREE and so on, --- and it's going to get worse and the numbers are going to multiply if lawmakers continue on this irresponsible path.

I suggested that the first patient should not have been brought back to the USA, I said that he should have been treated in West Africa. Others like Donald Trump said the same thing. But  the dumb bunnies in Washington put a rubber stamp on bringing the Ebola patients back to America. Look at the result. The stock market has crashed and burned. In fact it fell by hundreds of points three and four days in a row. Airline stocks fell. People are afraid to fly. And, I predict that when the Ebola numbers continue to rise the lawmakers and  these same health officials that have been preaching the word will say they didn't see it coming and something unexpected caused the virus to "get out of control" in America. They will be playing the blame game and pointing fingers. - And, that's my opinion. Make your own decision. You decide.
