Judge Bolton's Arizona Immigration Decision Usurps Voters Will Of The People

THE DOCTOR IS IN
_________________

LAS VEGAS-Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

The immigration law that the people of Arizona voted to enact was taken away from them by one Federal judge, Susan Bolton. What a disgrace. She should be ashamed of herself.

It's ironic that when people complain about laws these officials always say: "If you don't like the law, change it." " Change it at the voting booth." Citizens have been doing this for decades. They put initiatives on the ballot or change existing laws but in recent years usually one appointed judge tosses out the peoples wishes and revokes or restricts the laws that the people of the state passed by majority.

These judges are beholden to political pressure and depend on politicians for their position so it is not unusual for the judge to side with the politicians desires. That's not justice, that's politics.

Judges like Susan Bolton only live to survive in their judicial seat and they have no qualms about gutting any law that the people of a state had voted on and passed. These actions by these judges are becoming more prevalent each and every year. The will and wishes of the voting public are completely ignored.

So,I ask you? Where is the advantage of people getting initiatives placed on the ballot and going to the voting booth and voting on issues if only one person(like Judge Susan Bolton) can destroy and tear apart a carefully crafted law and snub their nose at what the voters wanted?

I maintain that the Arizona law SB1070 relating to immigration was a very sound and legally correct law. It should not have been shredded by judge Susan Bolton and this process of allowing one lousy judge to throw out a law voted on by the majority of the citizens of any state should be corrected. Any judge should be mandated to uphold the will of the people when they go into that voting booth and vote. As it stands now any one judge can invalidate every individuals voting rights and it is a slap in the face of every voter in every state.

Judge Bolton should be ashamed of herself for playing politics with an enacted law made by the people and for the people of the state of Arizona.

If there is such a thing as Karma this act by judge Susan Bolton will come back to haunt her over the years. And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

Linsay Lohan's Jail Time Is A Joke: Celebrities Skate

THE DOCTOR IS IN
________________

LAS VEGAS- Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

It never rains but it pours. I had an inquiry about my opinion on Paris Hilton and now I have another but this time on Linsay Lohan. So, here goes.

Just today, the Sheriff advised the media that Linsay Lohan would be released in only 14 days. Can you believe that? It's a replay of the Paris Hilton incarceration. The women are sentenced by the courts but these lawbreakers actual jail time is always reduced to a couple or few weeks. What a miscarriage of justice. The sheriff plays to the cameras and the chance to nuzzle up to the rich and famous. It appears law enforcement (especially the Sheriff) personnel love to pander to show business and rich people.

When the judges give average Joe or Jane Doe 60 days in jail most of that time is served but when it come to the so called elite the Sheriff always says that there is "jail overcrowding" so the Hilton's and Lohan's are always released early. Special treatment? You bet!

I say that if the judge knows that when they sentence a supposedly famous person or show business personality to a 60 day jail sentence and that person will only be serving 14 days that judge should increase the jail time to six months. If these Hilton's and Lohan's get a six month sentence and the Sheriff continues his pandering to them they will then serve probably their full 60 days.

I submit that the judges should increase the sentence of the rich and famous so that they can actually do some real jail time instead of a two or three week sentences.

Lohan flaunted her celebrity in the face of the judicial system over and over again and used excuse after excuse to evade the consequences thinking that she would snooker the courts and get away with her illegal activity.

The sad part is that many of the judges that render the sentence of jail time play into this celebrity. These judges know that the Sheriff will reduce the jail time by less than one half of what the person should serve and still they hand out small jail time sentences.

These slap on the wrist jail time sentences are a joke and the judge and the Sheriff know it. These light sentences will do nothing to deter these celebrities from going on to commit future illegal and/or criminal activity. I submit that 14 days in jail and housed in a separate private cell away from other alleged criminals just allows these party kids to have time away alone while staying in contact with their handlers and family.

Lohan has had problems with law enforcement on a number of occasions but it appears she continues to repeat her bad behavior and when it comes time for her to pay for her illegal activity the result is: WOW! 14 days.

Yes Linsay, there is a Santa Claus. He is the Sheriff of Los Angeles County and his elves are the judges and their assistants working in the criminal justice system whose job it is to pander to the rich and famous for reasons only known to them.

The poor and middle class really know that there is two types of justice in this country. The rich and famous most always skate with a few days in jail while the poor and middle class do their time.

"Justice is blind"? No way. Many judges and the Sheriff of Los Angeles County have their eyes wide open when they give a pass and slap on the wrist jail time to these so called celebrities. Shame on them. - And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

Paris Hilton And Her Drug Troubles

THE DOCTOR IS IN
_________________

LAS VEGAS- Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

A write in question asked for my opinion of Paris Hilton and her lifestyle.

Paris Hilton was briefly detained in Corsica after sniffer dogs detected a "small quantity" of marijuana in her bag. Again? She was taken in for questioning in the Corsica incident but released about 30 minutes later.

Earlier this month she was arrested in South Africa on suspicion of possessing marijuana, but the case was dropped. Could it be she has people in her entourage claim the drugs were theirs?

When will these rich brats be held accountable for their inappropriate unlawful behavior? It appears the rich get a free pass by the authorities because they are star struck and want to make points with the rich and famous.

Here's a woman who still wants to be a wannabe tween by producing her own TV show which really looks like a "kiddie" TV show about finding a friend in the UK and elsewhere. Why doesn't she grow up and do something really substantial with all of her riches.

She parties in Las Vegas and the casinos are stupid enough to pay her hundreds of thousands of dollars just to have her show up and wave to patrons in the casino. Is that a job? I doubt it. Other than that her claim to fame apparently was the sex tapes that floated around the internet years ago. What a wasted, shallow life this woman is leading. I can't see where Paris Hilton is actually contributing anything worthwhile to society. She will probably be acting the teenager and continue her partying, boozing and drug use for years to come on her families dime. And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

Congress, Stop Extending Unemployment Benefits

THE DOCTOR IS IN
_________________

LAS VEGAS- Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

Today, the Congress again passed the extended unemployment benefits package which will cover individuals until November, 2010. And, believe it or not the Democrats already said that if they have to extend the benefits after November, 2010, they will do that also. What a rip off!

People, each time the Congress extends the unemployment benefits for an additional thirteen (13) weeks, it costs us taxpayers somewhere about 33 million dollar for each 13 week extension. But the Democrats are extending benefits for a minimum of 26 weeks (six months), with no end in sight.

Up to this point in time some of these unemployed persons have been collecting benefits for for over two years. That's a long time to be out of work, don't you agree? Where does the hand outs stop?

Imagine if you would some neighbor saying they are out of work and ask you for a handout. You do the right thing and give them a helping hand but after a few weeks they come back and ask you for more money. Here you are supporting your own family and making ends meet and this person expects you to support him also. There has to be an end to the goodness of your heart.

Many of the unemployed have given up looking for a job. That's a fact. The government has statistics on this special group but the Democrats want to keep all of these people on the payroll even when they refuse to look for a job.

I submit, the jobs are there. The problem is that many of these unemployed people do not want to take a job that may pay only what unemployment pays. Why should they? If the government is paying them (X) amount of dollars each week why should they take a job that pays what they are receiving from the government for not working?

Look in the classifieds in any paper or on any computer and see all of the jobs: Fast food jobs, Wal-Mart jobs, convenience store jobs, gas station jobs, tire repair jobs,--I could go on and on. There are jobs in many areas but many of these unemployed people actually refuse to take them. Many have said it's beneath them. Come On! A job is a job.

I agree that a person needs help initially when they lose their job. Thirteen(13) weeks, even twenty-six (26) weeks, (six months) of benefits should be paid but after that there has to be an ending point. People collecting a free hand out for two years, three years and more is obscene. These unemployed people collecting hand outs for so long get accustomed to the free monies and they lose incentive of working for someone again.

My thoughts: Help the unemployed by paying them benefits for thirteen weeks with an extension of an additional thirteen weeks but after that. No More! If they cannot find a job in six months they should look to their families and friends for help, not the taxpayer.

I say that when these unemployed people know they have to find a job within six months and cannot collect any more monies after that six months, they will find a job. They will take a job that they snubbed their nose at weeks before. Tough love? You bet!

My advice to the Congress, stop enabling the unemployed and stop giving them a continued paycheck for two, three, four or more years. There has to be an end to these free hand outs.

Quoting the White House with one of their pet sayings- "Just say No!- And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

Releasing The Illegal Alien List In Utah Is A Good Thing

THE DOCTOR IS IN
_________________

LAS VEGAS- Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

A few days ago a group in Utah who is in favor of immigration control released a list of 1300 names of illegal aliens. The list was compiled from a data base used by the state of Utah. It listed names, addresses, social security numbers and other relevant information about the alleged illegal aliens. The list was sent to ICE (Immigration Custom Enforcement) months ago but the agency closed their eyes to the illegal aliens and did not act on the information. Since ICE chose not to act and arrest the illegal aliens the group released the list to the media. Now, the governor of Utah and immigration groups are up in arms. What do they expect? Our own federal government and the agency that is responsible for enforcing immigration law does nothing about the illegals.

Additionally, the Utah state government is conducting an investigation into who released the data and they want to penalize the people that released this important list. I submit that the individual(s ) that did in fact release the illegal immigration list was acting as whistle blowers. I say, that's a good thing.

Imagine, the state of Utah had all of this information in their data base and was apparently paying Utah tax monies to illegals and knowingly providing them with food, shelter and education.

If these illegal aliens are living in Utah on the taxpayers dime and the state clearly knows everyone of them (names are in the states data banks) my question is: Why are these illegal aliens being protected by the state of Utah? It appears the state only wants to enforce laws that they choose too enforce. Selective enforcement I presume.

The financial and social drain on Utah's citizens by these illegal aliens is enormous just as it is in most other states across this country. The states that continue to enable the illegal alien and continue to spend taxpayer monies on them and give them taxpayer monies for housing and food and continue to educate their children are clearly committing a crime.

Each state should be mandated to release their data bank lists on all of the illegal aliens that they are protecting and who they are administering our tax dollars too. We the legal citizens have a right to know. The lists like the one recently released in Utah should be public information and available to all legal citizens for review. And,- that's my opinion. You make the decisions. You decide.

Leno's King Of Late Night Again: Hooray!

THE DOCTOR IS IN
_________________

LAS VEGAS- Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

The rating figures are in and it was reported today that the king of the late night shows is once again Jay Leno. Hooray! If my readers recall, I said that NBC made a very dumb move when they replaced Leno. I also predicted that if they ever hired him back NBC ratings would change for the better and Jay Leno would reign king of late night TV. Well, my prediction came about.

Leno does a great job and NBC should realize that fact. There are generations of viewers that are used to seeing Jay Leno late night and anyone else trying to do what Leno does for late night falls way short. He has it down. Congrats Jay! Keep up the good work.- And, that's my opinion. You make the decisions. You decide.

Dangerous Chemical Causes Masculinity Problems In Male Children

THE DOCTOR IS IN
_________________

LAS VEGAS-Hello Americas, and how is the world treating you?

Another dangerous chemical is actually affecting the masculinity in our children.
The chemical "Phthalates" which can be found in toys, cars, cosmetics, plastic bottles and many other product items that are used by all of us on a daily basis is again being ignored by our government regulators.

This dangerous chemical is causing feminine traits and changes in our male children. The defects in our children has been documented by numerous studies around the world and just recently California has taken the step to ban this chemical. It's about time! Other states should take action on this important issue.

There are so many chemical products on the market that are affecting and harming children and adults that our government agencies cannot keep up with the problem. What a shame.

This problem with "phthalates" has been a known concern for decades but the harmful effects have been swept under the rug by special interests. I submit that this problem should be addressed as quickly as possible. And, that's my opinion. You make the decisions. You decide.
