BRITNEY SPEARS: WHO PRETENDS TO SING GETS $30 MIL DEAL. WOW!

THE KUHNS REPORT

LAS VEGAS - Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

Britney Spears just started her two year stint here in Las Vegas a couple nights ago. Her show entitled "A Piece of Me", at Planet Hollywood,  was just another make believe extravaganza . It was put together to look like a cheap Cirque show which  already permeates the Las Vegas strip.

Why Caesars Entertainment would pay a make believe singer/entertainer over $30  million dollars is beyond me. Spears was a teeny bopper years ago. That was great. She was a young, attractive girl at the time that appealed to the tween crowd - -but now she in her 30's and still trying to emulate that teeny-weeney image. I think Spears had her moment in the sun (way back when), but now? For a person who lip-syncs her songs and has done so throughout her career I'm of the opinion that she doesn't have any real talent to offer an adult  audience.

Who would pay $69.00 for the cheapest seat in the house to watch a 30's something lady prance and strut the stage and PRETEND to sing the songs? As I said before, you can't complain about the talent in the show because Spears has none. Her show is nothing but a lot of glitz and glam. It lacks entertainment and is boring and redundant as she goes through her songs that she has been faking  all through her life.

Rumor also it that Spears had her abdomen sprayed painted to enhance her physique for this gig. Wow! Although, I have to say there is one thing I cannot fault Spear's for. That being the fact that she is smart enough to grab the $30 million since Caesars  was apparently dumb enough to shell out all that moola for an act that doesn't sing (for real). Yep, that's big bucks to pay someone to go through the motions of pretending to be a singer - -can you imagine? --And, that's  my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

THE MIDEAST CONFLICT SHOULD HAVE A SOLUTION-IT'S  LONG OVERDUE.

THE KUHNS REPORT

Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

The 22nd. day of fighting between Israel and Gaza. The bloodiest day so far with 128 Palestinians dead.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu  said this will be a prolonged war. Israel is using tanks, airplanes, sophisticated weapons  and all of the military might that te United States gave them. In fact, in congress today, the   lawmakers are passing a  bill giving Israel BILLIONS of dollars to improve the "iron dome" that we gave them years ago. It's not enough that the iron dome is stopping the majority of rockets  fired into Israel. Now we, the good ol' USA is going to give Israel BILLIONS more to improve on a system that has been working. I guess it's not enough to have Israel slaughter the Palestinians by the thousands. Apparently, congress in their fervor for Israel want the Palestinian's wiped out in larger numbers.

There have been proven reports that Israel has already lied about bombing a school and hospital. It appears they faked a video to try to pace the blame on Hamas. Israel states that Hamas has rockets fixed in the hospitals and schools and that is the reason they bomb these places. Really? Can we trust Netanyahu's  words?

It appears Netanyahu really wants to destroy all of the building and homes that he can. It looks as though he wants to kill as many Palestinian men, women and children as he can under the guise of "self-defense." The words for that is "the fog of war". It's an excuse to do as much destruction as one can to the other side.

Currently the Israeli's made sure that the people living in Gaza has no electricity or water. This is a world fiasco and shame on the world for letting Israel get away with this shameful massacre.

Folks, Israel is murdering the Palestinians like they were  fish in a barrel. Example: Israel has the planes, the tanks, the heavy weapons and the support of the USA intelligence community. The poor Palestinians fight the Israeli's with rocks and sticks.

I ask you? What would you do if another nation invaded your state (i.e.) New York, Florida, California --(pick any state) with military might and then occupied that state for decades telling you you can't travel, you can't move around in certain areas? What if you needed the occupiers permission to move about to shop, visit, etc.? I know what you would do --you would fight the occupiers with every breath in your body. No person wants trampled on and told  when and where they can walk and socialize. People, that is what Israel has done for years and years. They, with their military might force the Palestinians to live a miserable life. The Palestinians have to adhere to the forceful orders of Israel or pay the consequences.  That's no way to live.

The sad part of all of this Mideast situation is that the United States has chosen sides and partnered up with Israel. We give them most everything they want and ask for. That's wrong!

What the USA should be is an honest broker. Equality and parity  is important when dealing with two  different factions. I would think that if we gave Israel an iron dome we should have given  the Palestinians an iron dome. If we gave Israel 10 fighter jets, we should give the same to  the Palestinians. The same goes for weapons-- whatever we give Israel we should also give the Palestinians.  Everybody appreciates an even playing field, especially in the Mideast region.

There is never going to be peace  due to the fact that Israel always finds an excuse to sabotage any upcoming peace talks. This same posture has been ongoing for decades. I would suggest that the only way to have peace in the region is to have the rest of the world insist on it. Call together the U.N. and other world powers -- then advise BOTH sides that they will have to live with the borders and rules that the world lays out for them.

Hell, we had no problem with going into Bosnia and separating that country into different factions; we had no problem with going into Iraq and separating the factions, the same in Afghanistan.  What about Korea and Vietnam  Nam. They were divided up by world powers.  So, why do we continually allow Israel to occupy another people (for decades) and dictate their comings and goings?  We can use the UN and world troops to enforce the peace regarding Israel and the Palestinians. And we should do it. - And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

CONSTRUCTION AND HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY USE ILLEGAL ALIENS AS SLAVE LABOR.

THE KUHNS REPORT

LAS VEGAS - Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

President Trump's 'Legal" immigration plan, as well as his dealing with the "illegal alien problem is getting  static from the U.S, Chamber of Commerce, and you guessed it,  big business and  the construction and hospitality industry.

A few nights ago a television news program interviewed a few home builders and others from the construction industry. The companies were located  in the state of Texas, Wow! These guys sniveled and cried the blues that they can't get workers to build their homes. They said the construction industry will have to cut back on the number of homes they're building across the country. One contractor claimed that instead of  having eight men building a house, they now have to use four men.

These dingbats are complaining that they cannot hire enough "illegal aliens" to build the house., so they oppose the presidents immigration policies.

Folks, more "illegal aliens" call Texas home outside of California. Texas has the second largest "illegal alien" population --California is in first place.

And, because the construction and hospitality  industry honcho's refuse to pay American citizens, both Hispanic and Caucasian a fair wage, they cry in their beer about not being able to get enough "illegal" aliens to work on the cheap. What's the matter with this picture people?

I am old enough to remember the days when in  the 1950s, 60s, and 70s, when  the construction people that built homes, like  the roofers, the plumbers, the electricians, framers, painters, drywall, carpet layers were Caucasian and blacks. They were being paid a decent wage and  did a fantastic job for the construction industry. It was not only the construction industry --most landscape and lawn service people were both Caucasian and black. True, there were some Latinos, but they were the minority on the job. The Latino population that was working in the construction industry, like the agriculture industry were here on a monitored "guest worker" program. And, when the job or their guest visa came to an end after a specific time, they returned home to Mexico.

But since 1986, once president Ronald Reagan and  the dimwits in congress gave "amnesty" to  approximately THREE MILLION "illegal aliens" living in the United States, everything came apart. We Americans were told that the amnesty was a one time thing, and both president Reagan and congress promised a secure border which would prevent any further illegal aliens from entering the United States. But, as usual, the politicians lied  to us, and congress let the immigration policy fall by the wayside.

The construction and the hospitality industry saw the "illegal alien" work pool as a gold mine for them. They could let the  whites and blacks go from the jobs, and hire the illegal, and pay them peanuts for their sweat and labor. Since the 1986 amnesty, the congress, working  with big business, allowed them to hire  "illegal aliens" for slave wages, closing an eye to the illegal practice.

I would suggest the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, in collusion with the construction and hospitality industry, is no better than the "plantation  slave owners" of the old  south  who used Black's for"slave labor" to build everything from plantations to the White House. The only difference now is -- Blacks have been replaced with "Latino illegal aliens."

My  idea. The sniveling, griping construction industry, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and big business and corporations should  pay sufficient wages to the American citizens who were doing these jobs  long  before the amnesty program went into effect.

People, it's these big industries that have been fighting tooth and nail to subvert the immigration policies so they can continue to use  slave labor. The irony of this situation is that  the construction and hospitality industry has been using slave labor for so long, they actually expect their employees to be Latinos. And they use the excuse, saying no one else can do the job. That's crazy thinking.

I support the idea of  all employers hiring "legal"citizens of the country, whether they are White, Black, Asian  or Latino. I  believe we have enough citizens in this country to do the  construction and hospitality work needed to run America.  The  government should step up and pass legislation and laws that each and every employer in the nation "must" use the E-Verify system to insure that each  and every employee is a "legal" citizen.

For those job seekers-- "non-citizens," from Mexico, and elsewhere, who say they will work in agriculture, and pick crops, I suggest we return to the efficient "guest worker" program the U.S. had in effect decades ago.  Those worker;s used to come to the U.S. as a "guest worker"and was monitored while here. When the season or contract was finished, they were accounted for by their employers and returned to their country of origin, until the next season. That's how it should be folks. America used to be so great. What the devil happened?  I guess greedy big business took hold.. --Make your own decisions. You decide.

STOP "ALL" OF EGYPT'S FOREIGN AID. IGNORE THEIR THREATS.

THE KUHNS REPORT

LAS VEGAS - Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

Hooray! The Unites States is planning to cut off  approximately THREE HUNDRED MILLION dollars in military and  economic aid to Egypt. It's about time. I  hope the administration  goes through with the plan.  A statement put out by the Egyptian Foreign Minister said Cairo regretted the U.S. decision, calling it a"misjudgment of the nature of the strategic relations that have bound the two countries for decades." The statement went on to say,  "the move reflects a lack of careful understanding of the importance of supporting the stability and of Egypt. What a crock!

The U.S. has been paying this country $13 billion dollars in aid each and every year. Now Egypt is upset because the administration  is going to cut THREE HUNDRED MILLION from that whopping gravy train.

Egypt is bent out of shape and warned us that there may be "negative consequences" for the realization of common U.S-Egyptian interests, which they failed to expand on.

Supposedly the  money stream is being cut off because the U.S. is unhappy with the human rights situation in Egypt. The U.S. demands that Egypt improve its human rights.

Egypt claims to be an important regional partner for the United States because of its control of the Suez Canal, as well as its border to Israel.Really?  Their human rights policies does not  conform to our standards and they are a corrupt nation. They have been continuing to extort the  $3 billion dollars a year from us U.S. taxpayers, asking us to stabilize and support their government. What a joke.

Why should the U.S. stabilize and support  Egypt and their people? We have  our own citizens and country to support and stabilize. Can you imagine how that $13 billion dollars could be used here at home?

What the U.S should do is cut off "all" $13 billion dollars that we  are sending to Egypt. Fact is, there are other countries around the world that we are  paying annual foreign aid to  which amounts to much more that the 13 billion Egypt has been receiving.

Folks. these foreign countries take billions and billion of dollars from  us taxpayers each year. That shouldn't be. We American taxpayers are like a welfare office to these foreign countries. They want us to support them, feed and clothe their people, and pay money under the table in bribes to corrupt politicians. These foreign countries say they are our friends but that is only because we are paying them for their friendship. As long as we  send countries around the world large truckloads of money each year they are  our friends but when and if we cut back (like we did  to Egypt), they scream Holy Hell.

The United States should not be the worlds ATM machine. We shouldn't have to bribe countries to stay on friendly terms with us. For example, Egypt  warns that access to the Suez Canal could be a factor if we don't "pay up."

People, it should be enough for these other countries to know that the U.S. has their back if they are a friends with us. They should know that if they were ever attacked by another country we would be there to assist them, I suggest, that's where any help and aid should end. The United States taxpayers should not be required to support other nations and look out for their citizens.

I know each and every nation around the world has their own treasury. Each country should use their own money from that treasury and  use their countries resources to prop up, stabilize and support their own populations, their military and their government.. That is their job. Not America's.

The USA has a $20 TRILLION DOLLAR deficit. Our lame congress and lawmakers  cannot even get that under control. Yet, they continue to prop up these Banana Republics and  any other country around the world who say they want to be our friend. It comes easy for the lawmakers in congress to spend other people money. It's not theirs. But it is ours, the taxpayers.

I'm in the camp that would favor cutting all foreign aid and/or eliminate it completely. If we held back all foreign aid from these (give me a hand out) countries for just a few years our problem with the national debt ($20 trillion dollars), would be solved overnight. Where the hell is our governments priorities?

When it comes to financial matters, I am a believer of a person taking care of their own needs, FIRST. Then, if  there is money left over after paying all of the bills, consideration would be made to give money away to others. I am frustrated will congress, the lawmakers in Washington, and the lobbying firms representing the corrupt nations who make sleazy deals to prop up these foreign countries.

As far as countries like Egypt threatening to deny access to the Suez Canal, I would strongly let them know they are on their own  if they are very invaded and/or attacked. I would clearly let these countries know that cooperation goes both ways and it should not take extortion to  receive help.  I would think these welfare countries would  get the message.  Actually, I  believe that these countries who scream, cry, and snivel for our help should be paying us for our presence and military might -- without expecting to receive foreign and economic aid. The welfare foreign and economic gravy train has to stop.-- And, that's my opinion. Make your own decision. You decide.

VESTIBULAR NEURITIS AFFECTS QUITE A FEW PEOPLE.

THE KUHNS REPORT

LAS VEGAS - Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

In response to an inquiry from S.W. from Pennsylvania about "vestibular neuritis", here  is  some information for you to review.

The vestibular system is part of the inner ear and the brain that picks up and translates your sensory information that regulate the body's balance and control and  controls eye movement. Neuritis  is a term for various diseases when a nerve or any group of nerves become inflamed. Thus, "vestibular neuritis."

The condition can effect either ear. When the inner ear becomes infected and inflamed you will experience (vertigo), which on a scale, can be mild, moderate or severe. If you experience a severe bout of vertigo you may experience a continual feeling of a spinning sensation. That in turn  will maker it difficult for you to stand and walk. You may also experience headaches, nausea and/or vomiting.

When a person has a healthy vestibular system, their brain from both the left and right sides of the body work in sync. But when the nerves or one side becomes inflamed and causes swelling the information that is transmitted  to your brain goes out of sync, and becomes a jumbled mess. The result is the brain is unable to match and sync up what both the left and right sides of your body are trying to say, and you will experience vertigo, either in mild, moderate, or severe episodes.

A persons balance will be affected, and they may also experience some difficulty with hearing and vision problems. The hearing problems might be tinnitus (ringing in the ears). They may also experience a lack of concentration.

I should note that most ear infections are a result of a viral infection. And a viral infection in the ear sometimes difficult to pin down as to how these infections are being transmitted throughout the body.

The good news is:  the viral infection generally runs its course within a few weeks. But if the nerves have been damaged, the dizziness may continue. There is no specific test for vestibular neuritis. However, an MRI could rule out conditions such as stroke, or a head injury.

I would suggest that if your dizziness continues, further testing may be necessary to hone in on the actual location of the problem. Your physician may also suggest a brief stint of steroids so as to reduce the inflammation.  - And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

PORTSMOUTH, VA WANTS TO REPLACE A CONFEDERATE STATUE WITH ONE OF A RAPPER? COME ON!

THE KUHNS REPORT

LAS VEGAS - Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

There is a move on in Portsmouth, VA to take down a Confederate statue and replace it with the statue of Missy Elliot. For those that don't know Missy Elliot (aka) Missy Misdemeanor Elliot  --she is said to be a "rapper,  dancer, and record producer." My reports say  that the group wanting the Missy Misdemeanor Elliot statue has about 25,000 signatures so far. And the city administrators apparently are seriously thinking about the statue exchange.

The rational behind this move is that a spokesman for the  move said: "I wanna show we can honor the positivity  that's happening today in Portsmouth and I think no one better suits that than Missy Elliot."

Are you kidding me?  What's the world coming to?  A move to replace historical figures and monuments with statues of rappers and dancers? What's next folks?  Personally I think a statue of Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck would be better than a rapper. -- And, that's  my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

SHUT DOWN AFGHAN WAR-IT'S A MONEY PIT: USE THAT MONEY HERE AT HOME.

THE KUHNS REPORT

LAS VEGAS - Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

Tonight, August 21, 2017, president Trump  is supposed to give a speech regarding the  Afghanistan conflict. I will be anxious to see what the president has in plan for this corrupt, money hole of a country.

My view is that president Trump should pull the plug on this never, ending war. Why do I say that?

Before we, the USA, went into  Afghanistan the Russian government had their military fighting in that God forsaken country for  ELEVEN YEARS. Fact is, we were arming different war lords and Afghan fighters to combat the Russians. Afghanistan  wound up being Russia's graveyard. They finally pulled out and left the country to fend for itself. After the Russians left the Taliban took over and they had a strict policy of  making certain their  countryman did not grow, cultivate and sell opium, under penalty of death, Opium cultivation, use and sale, was strictly prohibited. And people in Afghanistan, under the rule of the Taliban did not get involved in opium.

Then thinks changed.  The United States  went into the country,  cleared out many of the Taliban, and guess what? Once the U.S arrived, the  drug and opium trade flourished. The sale and trafficking from the of the poppy fields grew by a staggering two-thousand (2000%) percent.  And now it is the major cash crop in the country for all of the Afghanistan government officials, the various war lords, and warring tribes to feed off of.. Poppy field cultivation and opium sales and trafficking is now one-half of the Afghan economy. Our troops are also protecting the drug crops for  the people of Afghanistan.  Our military also closes a blind eye to Afghanistan's worldwide drug trafficking.. That's wrong, but we continue to allow it to happen. I have always said that the poppy fields should be destroyed. It is an easy task but our feckless, spineless government officials will not take action. Result: That poison is killing our men and women and children here in  Americas every day.

I once said that if the U.S.  would overthrow the Taliban, we would be causing serious  "unintended consequences", and the revival of the poppy fields and drug trade and trafficking is a glaring example of those unintended consequences.  Various factions we are fighting against in Afghanistan are now using the tens of millions of dollars in profits from their illicit drug trade to supply their war with weapons while at the same time they are still using weapons we gave them against our military. That's another example of "unintended consequences."

I predicted years ago that if we didn't end the Afghan  fight once we captured or killed Bin Laden (which was  our  original and sole purpose of entering Afghan), we would  be involved in a quagmire for years, like the Russians were. Now sixteen-and-a half years later --- we are in that quagmire. It's a swamp of quicksand and we are sinking deeper and deeper each and every year into this hole.

I submit, it would have been so  simple to wrap up the Bin Laden operation once he was killed. That is what Americans were expecting---hunt down Bin Laden, capture or kill him, and come home. Mission Accomplished. If that occurred we wouldn't be in Afghan today.

But because of our military and congressional blunders, along with the lack of will to say we had accomplished what we went to Afghanistan for (capture or kill Bin Laden), then return home , we are where we are today/. When Bin Laden was killed we should have exited Afghanistan then and there.

Allowing the drug trade to occur is one of my major complaints. with the Afghanistan situation. But let me  explain even further why I think we should leave these ignorant. corrupt tribes, to fight it out among themselves.

People, we have been fighting this war for a whopping SIXTEEN AND A HALF years, and it is still going on,  It is the longest war in history, with no end in sight. Now Afghanistan is our graveyard. Since our Afghanistan  military action began we, the taxpayers here in America  have already spent at least  $800 BILLION dollars in appropriations alone. Wow!  If we figure in and include the monies paid out for such thing as veterans care, for those who fought in Afghanistan, we are looking at a figure which exceeds $1 TRILLION dollars.

Folks, could you imagine what that money could do for us here in the United States? Roads; schools; infrastructure; repairs on our shabby electric grid; funding the southern border wall; paying down our debt. I could go on and on as to how that obscene amount of money could be used here in the good ol' USA. And, it has been reported that  our government actually handed out tens of millions of dollars IN CASH, to  corrupt Afghan government officials and Afghan warring tribe leaders. Our country gave these millions away like it was monopoly money, but--it was our tax money. It's evident that our politicians and military love to spend other peoples money.

And let's  not forgot the human toll that this  senseless war has taken. From my last  report check it looks like we have lost at least 2,258 American troops. That's out blood and treasure that has been squandered. And for what? Let's not forget our allies who fought along of us. They lost at least 1000. There were also 3500 military contractors killed so far.

Now, lets talk civilian  losses. Since we have been fighting in this hellhole and suffering our own losses, there were TENS OF THOUSANDS of Afghan men, women and children sacrificed.

My suggestion to president Trump: Pull out of this money pit which  is not only taking our taxpayer money, but our young men and women's lives. It's sad that our military generals are pushing for additional troops.

I fear that president Trump will capitulate and sell out to the  General's. I remember candidate Trump telling us Americans that one of his first moves would be to get us out of Afghanistan. America believed  him. But now as president, the chances are he might buckle to the military machine and stay in this quagmire. I also remember when two previous presidents told us that they were going to draw down and leave Afghanistan? But they didn't do that. I hope the president thinks  hard and fast about staying in this war.

I disagree with the General's views.  Fact is, we  have been fighting a conventional war led by these same General's for close to two decades. They have used the same  conventional war plan, over and over again.  I feel that doing what these General's suggest to fight this war is based on old and tired war plans. Come on! Sixteen years of repeating the same ol', same ol' war plans is stupid, If president Trump heeds  the General's advice all he will be doing is continuing Obama's war plans.

Why do  these military leaders in Washington insist on continuing the same policies used by the last two presidents? The policy DOES NOT work. For example, the  military policy we have been using for the past sixteen and a half years is well known to the Taliban and ISIS. These bad guys  know exactly how the  General's and the military are going to react and respond. The enemy can predict most every move the military makes against them. If you saw the same person doing the same dance move for sixteen years it's obvious you would know what steps to take to match those steps.

I have said for years that we have been losing this war.  And now General Mattis recently came out and told  those in Washington, "We are not winning in Afghanistan right now."  This was has been open-ended for  sixteen, plus, years. And if our military honchos keep repeating  and using the same old conventional war plans, we will never succeed in Afghanistan. We could fight this war in Afghanistan for another SIXTEEN AND A HALF years and we would be no further along than we are now.  We clearly are not winning this war. Hell, at one point we had 100,000 U.S. troops  fighting in Afghanistan and we couldn't win it then. Now it looks as through these war hawks in the military and congress  want to possibly add 3000 to 5000 more troops  to the approximately 8400 we now have there. I think that is a bad, bad decision. That small amount of additional troops will not change the  situation. All it is doing is placing  three to five thousand more American lives in harms way.

Finally, our General's tell the president, congress and the American people that we need to add the troops so we can train the Afghan military to fight on their own, Are you kidding me? Folks, it doesn't take 16 plus years to train soldiers to fight.  I, like many other  men and women  here in the USA served in the military. I was a Marine and  we were trained within only a matter of weeks, a couple months.  From first day of boot camp, through about 16 weeks, we were made combat ready, and capable to fight in any war and/or conflict, in any  theater around the world.

I would say, that if the Afghan men and women really wanted to serve in their military and protect their own country from invaders they could have, and should have, been trained for  total action within  a matter of weeks,  Especially when they were being trained to fight by the best military force on the planet. Good old American  personnel.

I suspect that the Afghan people  DO NOT want to fight for their country. They want us to protect them and also fight their battles for them.  I do  not think the Afghan government and their officials want the gravy train to stop. Once this corrupt, backward country and their officials saw the U.S. step up and offer help, they made the decision to play us for decades.

I know it doesn't take  16 years, plus, to get  a military force ready for combat. We should give their military  about 16 weeks to shape  their men and women into fighters. Not 16 years. Our military can train one of our men or women to be one  of our elite  SEALS in three, seven (7) week, phases. All three phases take only 21 weeks to have one of the best trained military people in the world.  So please, don't tell me a basic soldier cannot be molded into a fighting man or woman in much less time.

We should pull out every last American military person and let the Afghan military fight to protect their own country. They should act on their own.  We shouldn't have to continue to enable these people. I would think after sixteen years of  us Americans helping this corrupt, useless nation by training their military and rebuilding their country for  them, they should have enough smarts to organize their own government by now.

We Americans cannot stay in Afghanistan into perpetuity. I say we have no reason to be there and dumping about 50 BILLION dollars a year , or more, into this rat hole  is a waste. All of the money the USA is currently squandering on this "never, never. win war certainly can be put to better use, here in America. What is Afghanistan worth? Let the Afghan people fight their own battles,--then what ever faction survives and comes out on top, that is the government we deal with.  -- And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

THE MOVIE-KIDNAP: YOU ASKED,  HERE'S MY OPINION.

THE KUHNS REPORT

LAS VEGAS - Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

On a suggestion from a few friends I was asked to see the movie; KIDNAP, starring Halle Berry,  and give my opinion. Okay  friends, here it is:

Watching Halle Berry's frantic and desperate attempt to put this movie back on life support failed miserably. First off, this film only had a sparse 82 minutes of running time. This film is way, way below Halle Berry's talents. Why she accepted such a dud is beyond me. I guess  the only reason she  took an acting part in this bomb is because she produced it,

Karla Dyson (Halle Berry) is a  stressed out waitress who witnesses her son, 6-year-old son, Frankie, being dragged into a car.So she hops into her minivan, and the chase is on.

Once the pursuit starts,  in the next 40 minutes or so of the movie, Berry, is praying, coming unglued, yelling, and talking to herself, She makes a crash derby look like a walk in the park compared to the number of wrecks she causes.

When she she sees the doped up, two meth heads threaten her son she  lets up on the gas for awhile but loses the car. Then she stops along her way asking people if they saw a man and a little boy. Wow! I mean who hasn't seen a man and a little boy at sometime or the other?

Berry's character (Karla) is clearly not that of a tough, out for blood, type of a person.

As to the movie being a thriller, or full of suspense---No Way. I found it really drab and boring.--I  would say if anyone is looking for a good night of entertainment, they are in for a  surprise.  I'd say, stay away, stay home and watch a good suspense or thriller  movie with a bowl of popcorn in  your lap.

If I had to rate this flopper-roo, on a scale of A to F. I'd give it a big fat E-.  That's my take  on this fiasco my  friends. -- And, that's my decision. Make your own decisions. You decide.

MEMO TO: LAWMAKERS, POLITICIANS-THE REMOVAL OF STATUES AND HISTORY  SHOULD BE UP FOR VOTE BY AMERICA'S  CITIZENS.

THE KUHNS REPORT

LAS VEGAS - Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

Removing Confederate statues and monuments is mass hysteria in mob think. I would  suggest that these lawmakers in the cities and states who are willy-nilly making  decisions to take down  the Confederate symbols step back, take a deep breath, cool off, and use common sense.

The politicians and lawmakers attempting to appease different faction and groups by removing the historical statues made of metal, granite, and stone, are playing into  the hands of these groups. I would remind the state and county and community leaders that poll after poll taken recently, has  come to the same conclusion-- that being, more than sixty-two (62%) percent of the people in the United States "DO NOT" want the Confederate statutes and monuments removed.

If there is such a thing as lawmakers and politicians listening to the people  and doing the peoples bidding, then I would think that the quick on the draw, knee-jerk, reaction by the lawmakers should stop. It's obvious the majority of the people want the statutes and monuments to stay as they are, where they are.

I suggest that if the politicians, lawmakers, and community leaders across this country were serious and fair and truly wanted to to hear the people's voice in this matter, (which I believe deserves debate), they would  put the matter of Confederate statue and monument removal to votes. I say, let each city, county, and state vote as to if  the statues and monuments should be removed, or stay where they are. Folks, that would be the democratic way to do things.

We do not  need individual mayors, and governors, or any politician  or lawmaker making an arbitrary decision on their own, or in secret meeting with their city council to act like a thief in the night, under cover of darkness, remove  statues/monuments. All citizens should have a say. What are the lawmakers afraid of? Are they a bunch of wimpy, spineless jerks,  who doesn't trust the people to decide by way of a democratic vote? Let's put the matter on ballots. Let's really see what the citizens of America want to happen.

If the lawmakers and politicians across this country continue to act on their own and fail to listen to the majority of the people, this country is going to become nothing but a Banana Republic. We in America will be no better than the  dictator regimes that have purged monuments and statues from their societies. Fact is, some of these corrupt regimes that first removed  statutes and monuments then banned certain books and reading materials, (and had books set ablaze), in town squares. It didn't stop there. They erased photographs of specific persons from sight and mind. They then took control of the media  (television, newspapers, magazines, and radio).

Like president Trump has said. "Where does it stop? I think we are on that muddy, slippery hill and about to dirty up our American way. Since the Charlottesville incident last week there are lawmakers, politicians, and certain groups, who seriously, actually, want to remove the faces from Mount  Rushmore. These same people are also making a move to do away with the Thomas Jefferson Memorial and wipe away the name of president George Washington by removing statues of him, removing his name from building,,parks, etc. -- that's crazy.

It appears to me that some of these groups and lawmakers have the  strong desire  and sole intent to tear down the country as we know it. When  American politicians, lawmakers, and certain groups, begin to remove, erase , and rewrite history and America's past, that is the beginning of the end.

Their actions will sink America to the same depths  as Venezuela, Libya, Cuba, and  the Banana Republics of South and Central America -- and yes, Iraq and Syria. If you recall, destroying thousand year old monuments and statues was one of the first tasks of ISIS and the Taliban. They moved on from there to destroy and erase libraries and building which held the rich history of those countries.

Bottom line: A memo to the governors, politicians, and lawmakers across America:

Put the removal of Confederate  statutes and monuments (and any other erasure of  America's history) to a vote (BY THE AMERICAN CITIZENS), of this country. --And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

DURHAM- THE POLICE FAILED  AGAIN. THE STATUES SHOULD NOT BE REMOVED.

THE KUHNS REPORT

LAS VEGAS - Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

Again, law enforcement fails to act, in a timely manner. After  a Confederate statue that was dedicated in 1924, in front of the old courthouse in Durham , an unruly and civil  disobedient crowd of demonstrators toppled the statue with a rope, and erupted in cheers as the  historic statue fell to the ground. After the statue was brought down, law enforcement officials went on television and stated --(paraphrased) "Don't blame our inaction by not acting." Then  Durham County Sheriff Mike Andrews said  county leaders and officials "discussed safety measures and decided restraint and public safety was the priority." What?  That's a joke. I would think arresting people that were destroying public property and causing significant property damage would be the priority.

And, get this--the Durham police said they didn't arrest anyone because the statue was on county property. Talking about passing the buck and playing the blame game, this bunch of keystone cops take the cake.

I would think before it got to the point of  individuals roping and pulling  the statue off it's foundation the local Durham police officers and/or the sheriff's officers would have intervened and told the crowd to disburse --I would assume that the people climbing on and off the statute and tying and pulling on a rope were at least trespassing. Don't you think! And when the statue was pulled to the ground and kicked and  beaten with clubs, those acts would constitute.  maybe,--destroying public property. I believe any five year old  could see that. But it's getting to be a habit where we see it happening again and again, Law enforcement officers stand around like a bunch of dumb bunnies with their thumb in the mouth.

Any reasonable prudent person, besides a law enforcement officer could see that a crime was being committed. But like in  Ferguson, Baltimore,  and Charlottesville, and Berkeley, law enforcement chooses to stand down, which I see as a blatant act of political correct policy.

Folks, police departments, sheriff  departments and other law enforcement agencies are there to "protect and serve." But if they cannot protect even a cold piece of metal or marble from being torn apart and decide to serve the residents by arresting the criminals committing  the a crime--what is really their mission in life?

I  believe that orders to stand down  actually causes more disobedience than it stops. I  say that if local Durham police saw a crime being committed they should have arrested the perpetrators, then and there.  However, it seems they chose to use the excuse that  the crime was being committed on county property --and it wasn't there problem. Wow! Then why not immediately contact the  sheriff department and have  sheriff deputies respond and make. arrests? I suggest that if  officers and/or deputies arrested  the bad guys at the time the crime was being committed and haul them off, ad ordered the crowd to disperse and go home--the rest of the losers in the mob would have probably complied and left the area.

Clearly, the police or sheriff departments across the country should not only respond "after the fact." But  recent developments regarding groups and crowds seem to bear that policy out. In many cases the  officers stand by and "observe" and watch people  commit acts of violence, assaults, arson, and a host of other crimes, but refuse to act. It makes a person wonder why? And, it's not a  comforting feeling when you hear some of the officers say, "I don't want to get hurt." Personally, in many situations I do not think  law enforcement is enforcing the law -- they're condoning it, as they stand around and let it happen.  I suggest  the officers take the criminals into custody as they are breaking the law. Law enforcement should not wait to view video of the mob of people and say: "We will look at the video and see if we can identify the people that did the crime. I think the cops are coming up a day late, and a dollar short, by ignoring what is  playing out right before their eyes.

It's a sad day for Durham, just like in  all the other cities and campuses that allow crimes to occur in plain sight and ignore it.

After the Charlottesville incident the city of Baltimore,  under the cloak of darkness, took down at least four statues. That act was like a secret police mission by a third world country.   Instead of allowing residents to interject their input or debate the issue in the cleansing light of sunshine--the city fathers chose to take it on themselves, and like thieves in the night, they removed the statues. That to me, is a dangerous precedent  to set.

I see the removal of these statues and monuments as a road a civilized country doesn't want to travel. For those that want to judge history through a binocular lens turned backward can prove to be a dangerous move. Even though there are those individuals and groups who's quest is to erase history, by destroying statues will  not eliminate what happened.

I see history as a persons actions and deeds performed at any particular time. That's what makes history. For example . one can't compare what actions and deeds were done way back in 1864, and those actions and deeds done in 1964.  I submit that we, as a nation, cannot abolish our past (that's history.) I propose we "honor" the past. Come on! The past is not the present.  And for these groups, individuals, and  lawmakers that think they can alter and change the past, they should remember that what they are doing now "in the present", will be the past, in the blink of an eye, and their acts and deeds will be part of history for future generations. In 10,20,50 years from now their present conduct, actions and deeds will be remnants of the past. Folks, the past is the past--it's history; the present will be the pas; and our future is what we retain of the past as we move on.

So, I ask you? What  are these Holier than Thou, I know what's best  for you, (history erasers), going to do then? Where does it stop?

One of my biggest fears is that: Erasing the past has happened before. It happened in Russia,  Iraq, Germany and Syria, just to name a few places. Theses countries governments, and different groups in the countries tore down statues and  destroyed sacred and historical monuments from their past. The statutes and monuments were reduced to rubble. I suggest we in America are better than that. Even some countries disagreed with what their people were reading in books. So they  gathered up  various book titles and held large book burning fires in the streets. And now, a few days after the Charlottesville incident, we have the reported  professional agitator, the controversial Al Sharpton, who went on television, screaming for the removal of the Thomas Jefferson Memorial. Others want George Washington's name removed from buildings.  These times are becoming insane.

I would like to suggest that we Americans hold onto and keep our past. It's history. What happened, happened. Why not leave the statues where they are? Fact is, it would not be difficult to add some sort of context and explanation to these statues.

If it is the Confederate statues that are offending some people in our society at this point in time I believe proper context would explain the statues existence. I would also like to offer a reasonable solution and suggest that lawmakers erect new statutes and monuments that would signify specific and well known sites of slavery and lynching  areas that occurred during the civil war and/or to those black military men and officers that served so that both sides of the Confederate conflict could be understood. -- And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

TRUMP BASHING NEVER LET UP, EVEN FOR A MINUTE. THAT'S SAD.

THE KUHNS REPORT

LAS VEGAS - Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

Can you believe the backlash over president Trump's remarks regarding the Charlottesville, VA rally?
Yesterday, president Trump held a press conference at Trump Tower  and explained his initial remarks he made shortly following the riots and carnage in Charlottesville. But still, that wasn't good enough for the  press.

It appears that whatever the president says, the press twists and manipulate his words and statements to be put in a negative light. And the media wonders why the president is frustrated with their coverage. Really?

I would estimate that ninety percent of any articles published in many newspapers or stories of president Trump on major news and cable networks is negative. I have yet to see major news organizations report on the accomplishments that the president has made during his first eight months in  office. That's sad. It only show the total bias of the media and where they are at today.

I would bet that if president Trump announced tomorrow that he had come up with a cure for cancer --the major news networks and newspapers, and his detractors. many in his own party would snub their nose and say, " That's  not good enough. You should have come up with the cure five months earlier."  They continue to take the president's  words and statements out of context. These people will never be satisfied with anything president Trump says. Even those in  his own party like Senator Cory Garner, from Colorado, when asked, said: "The president was wrong." Or McConnell and  Senator Dean Heller from Nevada, and senators  Jeff Flake and John McCain from Arizona, along with McCain's attached at the hip colleague, Lindsey Graham , all  turned away and distanced themselves form the president and ran as fast as they could like a  bunch of scared rabbits.

In addition to the intentional, unfair and bad media coverage  toward the president it's obvious that the opposing political party, the Democrats and numerous Democrat hold overs that are currently employed in the federal government will take every opportunity to resist the president. There are also the RINO's (Republicans In Name Only) in his own party that have the long knives out for him. These RINO's want to keep everything as it was before Trump was elected president. They do not want change in Washington. These RINO's do not want Trump to turn Washington upside
down. They are in the camp of wanting to destroy the president.

Finally, we have the "deep state"thwarting  the president. This deep state are those in government service who  are employed in the Justice Department, the State Department and the various Intelligence agencies that personally disagree with  president Trumps polices and agendas. These bad players take it on themselves to leak sensitive, classified and sometimes top secret information in an attempt to hurt the president.

Folks, the Democratic party, the news media, who is in bed with the Democratic party, the RINO's and the deep state criminals just cannot stand the fact that  president Trump won the election and sits in the oval office. Face it, the Democrats and these misfits cannot get over it. "Trump is president."

These groups have  pushed the Russia, Russia, Russia idea for months. That  fizzled out. Then is was the "Lets impeach Trump," sniveling from the Democratic party. That didn't go anyplace. Now it is "Lets get Trump, no Matter What." There is a constant daily barrage of trivial, petty, scathing attacks  against  the president from these groups mentioned previously  that want to bring him down. They actually want to drive him from office. They will say and do anything to tarnish president Trump's image, reputation, and credibility on the world stage. These groups are intent on conducting a massive disinformation campaign the president.

I hope the president continues on his path of "Making America Great" I would suggest that he continues to do all of those good things he is currently doing for country (that the media never covers).  I suggest he does the infrastructure; build the wall;  get the tax plan up and running, and yes, do heath care again.

I predict that in the upcoming mid-elections  there will be more Republicans put into congress. With that , I would like to think those newly elected Republicans will totally support the presidents agenda and pass the bills  that the president wants to sign. I would like to see the newly elected Republicans out number those incompetent, lazy, RINO's whose agenda is to bring down the president.  At the same time I would like to suggest to the Republican party voters  across America to deep six and vote the RINOs out of office when they stand for reelection. Who needs them --they do  nothing but hurt the party and  hurt the American people as a whole by constantly stopping all of the promised legislation that was intended to help every working man and woman and teen across the country.

My final analysis: If the Democratic party, the news media, the deep state, and RINO's  thought they went crazy and off the deep end when president Trump was elected this time around, imagine what's going to happen  when president Trump is REELECTED for his second term. Wow! These groups will, really have  a meltdown. I predict president Trump will be reelected and I can't wait to hear the sobs, crying, and sniveling coming from these same people trying to explain and rationalize how  president Trump could do the same thing again. -- And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions., You decide.

ABUSE, AND NEGLECT OF THE ELDERLY, DISABLED, AND THE VULNERABLE. A FEDERAL INVESTIGATION IS NEEDED.

THE KUHNS REPORT

LAS VEGAS - Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

There is a call for a federal investigation into caregivers and nursing homes and health care providers that care for the elderly and disabled. The probe is long over due.  Last Thursday, the AP published a story laying out the need for the federal investigation. The AP wrote that it is often much easier to find health and safety information for local restaurants  than it is to learn about conditions at  facilities serving at least 1 million of New York states vulnerable residents. And, that 1 million people the AP wrote about are just in New York. If you multiply that figure by millions, and millions more people   in  all fifty states being forgotten, you have  the tip of an iceberg.

The AP cited the case of just one individual, 41-year-old. Steven Wenger who was twice  found to have  maggots crawling around his breathing tube in a state-owned and operated small group home in Rome, New York. Mr. Wenger cannot walk, , talk, or even feed himself, a result of severe brain trauma in a  horrific 1991 car crash.

One would wonder where the state of New York's Health Department was in Wenger's case. It's sad that the Health Department and state health services people allow  the most vulnerable (the elderly,  the disabled, and children) be treated like they don't exist and are less than worthless. And New York is not alone in dishing out this poor treatment. I would suggest that the feds look at all of the states across the country.. I call on the U.S. Department of Health and Human Service to investigate each and every group home; nursing home; assisted living facility and skilled nursing home  throughout the nation. This poor, inhumane treatment, this abuse has got to stop.

It's frightening that the sick, the  disabled, the frail, vulnerable adults and children that have to depend on others for care are hidden and locked away, out of sight as a forgotten segment of society. What is the old saying? "Out of sight, out of mind."

I'm tired of hearing the same old excuses given by the health care community and other departments as Welfare, Social Services and  Child Services. They always fall back on the same excuses and rationalizations for their incompetent, inept treatment of the individuals they are charged to care for. Those excuses heard over and over again: "We are understaffed,"  "We don't have the funds or money," and  "We have large caseloads, the case load is too big for each worker." Truth is, many are just lazy workers, they look for shortcuts to get through to the end if the day. Many do not have compassion,or empathy for the elderly, the disabled, and the children's plight or circumstance.  Many of the worker's  assigned to  look out for the well-being of these frail, needy people choose to ignore  them. -- And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

OHIO CREMATORY TREATS THE DEAD WITH OBSCENE DISGUST.

THE KUHNS REPORT

LAS VEGAS - Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

Can you believe this? It's about time the state of Ohio  did something.

Situation: A crematory had  rotting bodies laying around. Several unrefrigerated bodies were found decomposing. There was at least one body completely covered in mold. Another body had  begun to mummify, and still another was being eaten by maggots.

Finally, the Ohio State Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors voted to suspend the license of Premium Mortuary Services  in Carlisle.

Mt question is: Why just suspend the  mortuary license? I would think these type of actions by a mortuary would demand that the license be revoked. Some people might think that the owners and operators of a mortuary service treating the dead in this manner should be prevented from being involved in  any funeral service endeavor now, or in the future, in the state of Ohio, or any other state. -- And, that's my opinion. Make your own decision. You decide.

DON'T BLAME PRESIDENT TRUMP. THERE'S PLENTY OF BLAME TO GO AROUND ON THE CHARLOTTESVILLE SITUATION.

THE KUHNS REPORT

LAS VEGAS - Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

This is a dark Saturday. A rally in Charlottesville. VA, turned violent. At the time of this writing , one woman is dead, run over by a car, driven by a hateful driver, from Ohio, who apparently was a participant in the  violent confrontation in  the streets of Charlottesville. There are also approximately 20 people injured, six in critical condition, and two  law enforcement officers killed. A tragic day indeed.

President, Donald Trump came out with a  strong statement condemning the violence in the city. He said such things as: (paraprhrased)- "Hate and division must stop right now." He condemned the violence in the  strongest terms. President Trump said: "We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence on many sides, on many sides."

Note: Republicans snipe and criticize the president:

The president made mention that the violence which occurred in Charlottesville was caused by many sides,-- Note: (which is a true and factual statement). But following the presidents statements, a number of talking heads from CNN and the left started to dump on, and take swipes, at the president saying the presidents statements were "not" strong enough. Then, some of the presidents own Republican party, like Senators Orrin Hatch  (R-Utah) and Marco Rubio (R-Florida), decided to pile on and snipe and take swipes  at president Trump.

Senators Hatch and Rubio, were two Republicans that wanted to be president but couldn't cut it, and never made the grade . I am a great believer in speech and acknowledge that  in America everyone has a right to speak out and say what they want. So I say to all of  these people that  are criticizing the president and telling others what the president "should have said," these individuals should just say what they themselves think about the situation, without taking shots at what the president "should have, or should not have said." And then move on. It's easy to "Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda,, when you're looking for face time on the news.

The president made his statement which he though was appropriate, which was based on the facts that he had at the time. He doesn't need petty back-biting from sore losers in his own party. If these Republicans wanted to give their own statements which they think should be more presidential, they should have had the strength and stamina to win the White House through the election process .Then they could have offered their statement as POTUS.

It's frustrating to see senators in president Trumps own party take unwarranted swipes at their commander-in-chief. It's expected from the Democrats and news media like CNN,and MSNBC, but fellow Republicans? Shame on them.

It seems president Trump is up against the Democrats, the fake news media,  a deep entrenched group within the current government -"the deep state," and those in his own party, "RINOs" (Republicans In Name Only),who are constantly bombarding  president Trump with roadblocks, insults, lack of cooperation, etc.--

It's to the point where president Trump is "damned if he does, and damned he he don't." Nobody wants to give  the president a break.

Folks, it is a fact, just as president Trump made mention -- fault can be laid at "many sides." You had the protesters "Unite the Right" who filed for the permits for the rally, on one side. And then you had  the "counter-protesters" on the other side, who showed up without obtaining a permit . And it was clear to anyone watching the television  news  throughout the day that both sides were combative, violent and in riot mode. Punches, fist and kicks were being tossed around by both sides. So, as  disgusting as a "white nationalist" group may seem, it was not only that group of individuals who were committing violence. The "counter-protesters"instigated and took offensive action against the protesters. People,  this rally can be  compared to the "gangs of New York", and/or the "union  busting gangs"  back in the early part of the century,  One group carrying clubs, baseball bats, torches, tire irons, and rocks, and bottles. They would  line the street and the other side, (the other gang, or union busters) would  line up facing them. They would being shouting  at each other and scream, "let's rumble", then clash, maiming, wounding, and even killing one another.

This rally was  no different. Each side lined up, shouting at each other and wound up causing injury, mayhem, and murder.

Note: Governor Terry McAuliffee:

What perplexes me is governor Terry  McAuliffe. He said he was prepared for this confrontation . He said the city and state police  practiced for such an event. Are you kidding me? If he was prepared the city would not have allowed the situation get out of control to the point of assaults and murder. The governor also went before  the cameras and blamed only the protesters.  But he failed to fault the "counter-protesters."

McAuliffe, like me, and many other Americans in this country do not agree with the vile, hateful views of the "Unite for Right" group. But he stood there and said: "Get out of  my state." What? The governor ordering American citizens out of the sate of Virginia? Wow! My point: This showboat governor cannot order American citizens out of his state --"just because he doesn't like what they say, or doesn't like their views."  Remember the constitution governor. It's there for a reason.  You shouldn't act like one of the  radical counter-protester groups.

Governor, what you and your  fellow lawmakers should have done was allow the group to spout off, say their piece, march down the street and leave. But you should not get down in the gutter, taking sides -- that would be no better than one of the counter protesters trying to shut the other side down. If you believe in free speech, let it flow.

McAuliffe and the city lawmakers were aware that a confrontation between different factions were eminent. A week or two before the rally took place the  threat of possible violence and confrontation was voiced over and over again, both on the air and the world wide web.

I submit that the governor had more than sufficient time to "activate and deploy" the National Guard , under orders to act as a protector of both side (protesters and counter-protesters).  It's a dumb move to activate the guard and then not deploy them.  Without the deployment of the guard, it's like the guard not being activated at all.  That's an exercise in futility. I further submit that if, in fact, the guard had "deployed, it's a reasonable possibility that the fatalities may not have occurred.

Let's review: The white nationalists, "Unite the Right" filed for a permit to demonstrate. The city, county, and state knew what this organization represented.  Both the city an state had ample opportunity to "deny" the permit, but they did not. The lawmakers in the city, along with  at least one judge gave the known hate group their blessing, and invited them to protest. The same state and city officials knew for certain that "counter-protesters" would show up to the rally. What did they really expect?

If the city and state wanted to have control over the protest: First, before issuing the permit to protest, the lawmakers could have met with the leaders of the protest group, where at that time, could have clearly set up parameters as to where and how the protesters could air their grievances. The city could have set up boundaries and protocols which the protesters were expected to adhere to, with the  understanding and stipulation that if any of the boundaries, rules and regulation were violated in any way, the protest would "immediately" be  shut down, and canceled."

Second:  Prior to the start of the rally the city should have advised the  "counter-protesters," many belonging to "Black Lives Matter" and  "leftist fascist" groups which included the violent "antifa" mob who was armed and intent on violence, that violence against the protesters is forbidden. The city should have  set up  specific lines for the counter-protesters to stand behind. There could have been areas indicated where the counter-protesters would be prohibited from crossing.  They should have been told that if they crossed the line they would  "immediately" be arrested. Free speech is great. It should be exercised. And, I believe that if the National guard and the law enforcement  had been "deployed" and stationed accordingly prior to the start of the march, both the protesters and counter-protesters would have adhered to the rules.  It is very obvious that there was no substantial pre-planning for this rally.

Note: My Personal Views

Personally, I do not agree with the views of any White Power group, the KKK or Nazi organization. I do not agree with the views of  Leftist fascist groups or the Black Lives Matter group either, even though this group was invited to the White House and praised by both president Obama and Hillary Clinton. I consider myself something of an American patriot. I served my country in the Marine Corps.  I strongly believe in the flag, the American way, God and country, and the constitution.
That said,

1.  I again remind everyone that  the "Unite for Right" White Nationalist group, who matched on Saturday, obtained a legal permit to march, courtesy of the lawmakers in the city and state of Virginia.

2.  The group exercised their right to Free Speech, by obtaining all the legal permits required. And folks, you  and I, may not like the content of their speech or views they hold. But they have an absolute and constitutional right to voice them.

3. As American's we have the obligation to defend and show respect for the  constitutional right to free speech toward all of those  with whom we disagree. I submit that if we  don't do that we cannot expect those groups or individuals to respect  our constitutional right to free speech.

If the city would have taken the proper steps to make sure both the protesters and the counter-protesters were on the same page and both groups understood the rules before commencing the rally, the chance of violence would probably be small.  Once both sides understood the rules, and the rally started,  protesters and the  counter-protesters could scream, shout, yell, use profanity, shake their fists,  display their signs and flags against one another until the cows came home.  That's free speech. Then disperse and  go home.

BUT, it appears like in the cities of Ferguson, Missouri and Baltimore and the protests at Berkeley campus, where law enforcement  did not intercede at the start of violence, there were fires set, property damage done, and physical assaults were committed. Things like that shouldn't have happened but the politically correct lawmakers and city administrators advised their police to hold back, stand down. At what point does the police intervene. When the police see either a protester or a counter -protester throw a punch, a fist, or assault someone, that person should be taken into custody and arrested on the spot.  I don't care if it's one person, two people, or a group. If they begin to assault one another, they should be arrested, --  no if's, and, or buts about it. But handcuffing good law enforcement people and not allowing them to do their police duties is a slap in the face for  the hard working officers around the country. How many people (protesters and counter-protesters) have to be be  pushed, punched, and assaulted before the  police officer can step in and arrest someone?

The sad part of this tragedy is that the police, who was fully geared up with protective gear, face masks, and shields, lined up and stood by (without intervening), like a bunch of tin soldiers as the protesters and counter-protesters began to escalate  the dangerous situation. Even as the officers observed the two combative groups using  make shift weapons and physical violence against each other, they still stood by, "doing nothing." And, as a reporter stated, when the protesters began throwing tear gas at each other, the police officers retreated and left the area. When the reporter asked a few of the officers why they were leaving, their response was, "We don't want to get hurt."

Can you believe it? The police  retreating from a situation where they could have stopped the violence from the get-go. If the city political correct administrators told the police to stand down, that's unacceptable, and a sad day in the history of law enforcement. On the other hand, if the officers were not ordered to stand down but made the decision to retreat of their own volition to a safe place, that is a serious problem. I can understand why  the National Guard had to be called in on on a state of emergency stance. The locals could not or would not control the situation.

In a few instances over the last few decades I have observed the failure of police failing to act in a timely manner.  The Columbine  High School tragedy comes to mind. In that case the police was on the scene for hours but they waited outside the high school, refusing to go inside, even while at least one teacher was pleading and begging for help.  Apparently some officers told the media that  they didn't know what to expect inside the school and they didn't want to risk their lives.  It's reported that the teacher eventually bled to death. Basically, the same situation occurred during the  recent Berkeley campus riots. Protester's were throwing metal barricades and chairs through glass windows, and setting fires, but the police stood down. They just stood by watching the scene unfold. When some of them were asked why they did not intervene to quell the riot. Some said, they did not want to be hurt. Sometimes I think the police should take a page from their firefighting brothers playbook. The fireman always run toward and into the fire. Not away.

In Charlottesville, it  appears some of the protesters and counter-protesters showed up at the rally with shields, clubs, the size of  baseball bats, spears, etc., --why did the city allow that? It's obvious that if there was to be a peaceful protest rally, it could be done without clubs and protective shields.  The city could, and should have banned such things prior to the start of the rally. The  participants on both sides could  have been ordered to surrender their make shift weapons to law enforcement prior to commencement of the rally. If they refused, those individual(s) could have been ordered to leave the rally area. Keep in mind the city had  at least one  month to organize and set the rally policy, but chose not to.

Proper barricades between protesters and counter-protesters should have been strictly defined . If the city of Charlottesville knew they did not have enough city police to have strict control  of the crowd, they could have arranged to have an additional law enforcement presence from the county and/or state prior to the protest commencing. The city didn't do that. They lost control and then had to call a state of emergency, calling up the National Guard. It appears quite a few things were done, BUT only after the fact in this situation.

My question: Why did the city of Charlottesville issue a permit for this rally in the first pace? There is no doubt that the lawmakers in the city and the  judge(s) knew counter-protesters would show up at a rally such as this. The lawmakers had  sufficient time to consider the ramifications that might occur in allowing  such a rally to take place in their city.  The template had already been set, with the cities of Ferguson, Baltimore, and  the Berkeley campus riots. So what would  make Charlottesville politicos think they could handle a rally like this without setting strict and enforceable ground rules (with both sides,  "Unite for Right" and counter-protesters) prior to the rally; having sufficient law enforcement presence on hand prior to the rally; and allowing the local and state police to enforce those rules and laws at the first inkling of trouble --arresting each and every violator.

Finally,  there's enough blame to go around in this Charlottesville fiasco. The  Governor of Virginia should  not point fingers at just one group, nor should he and other  lawmakers imply or insinuate in any way, shape, or form, that president Trump's elevation to the oval office allowed this rally to happen. For those that forgot, I remind you that this rally was asked for by this White Nationalist group to protest the removal of  the Confederate statute of  Robert E. Lee. I see many people responsible here. We have the hate group, "Unite For Right,"; the  battling counter-demonstrators -"Black Lives Matter and leftist fascists"; the city council, the mayor and city fathers, and the judge in Charlottesville who reviewed and had a say in issuing the rally permit. All of these people have to share in the  chaos, the death and destruction that occurred on this fatal Saturday, in August. And I suggest that the Mayor, the City Council and the Police Chief have a lot to answer for.-- And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions, You decide.

McCONNELL and MCCAIN SHOULD GET WITH THE PROGRAM, OR RETIRE. WHO NEEDS THEM.

THE KUHNS REPORT

LAS VEGAS - Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

It's time for a number of Republicans holding office in Washington to retire, spend time with their families, go lay on a beach, or go fishing. Come on! These senators and lawmakers work maybe three or four days out of the month and take off three months out of the entire year. You and I couldn't get away with that out here in the real world.

Two Republicans that should leave, who stand out like a sore thumb are: First, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. He's been a 33-year Senate hanger-on, and I guess wants to be carried out of the senate, in a box. Folks, the founders of our nation didn't mean for anyone to go to Washington and plant themselves there for 33 years, or more. This man should have been out of congress years ago.

He, like others in the Republican party, don't want change in Washington and continue to disrupt and throw roadblocks up to prevent president Trump from carrying out his agenda , the agenda the people put president Trump in office to perform.

McConnell had the gall to go home to Kentucky and tell his audience that the president had " not been in this line of work before, and I think had excessive expectations  about how quickly things happen in the democratic process." Are you kidding me? This politician, who has been playing in the "swamp" for 33 years, couldn't get members of his party to agree and work behind the president. The Republican party made promises for seven-and-a half years that they, (the Republican party ) had a plan ready to go to  repeal and replace Obamacare.  The president told McConnell and the party that  once he was elected to office, he would sign the bill as quickly as they put it on his desk. LIE! LIE! LIE! McConnell and his colleagues had no plan - - no bill whatsoever to put on the president's desk.

I believe McConnell, is one of the main obstructionists in Washington. He has show a disdain for president Trump and  has made the decision to drag his feet and delay president Trumps promises  to the American people.

My advice to president Trump --if McConnell cannot deliver on a tax plan; the infrastructure that president Trump ran on; health care; and things like the wall (which McConnell has fought against), for reasons only known to him and a few colleagues, he should be ousted.

The second obstructionist, fighting against the president is Senator John McCain. He takes every opportunity to find fault with president Trump's ideas, polices, and agenda. Like McConnell, he feels he is an entitled person, just due to the fact that he has been in Washington so long. He too, is a swamp monster, who has been in  Washington, too long. I would wonder how many terms in office he expects to have? Maybe like McConnell, he wants to sit in Washington for a lifetime entitlement.

McCain was elected to office years, and years ago, basically because he was a young man, and a war hero. And, that's fine. We should  honor our heroes. But I do not think our lawmakers in Congress should hold on to a job for a life time. McCain was the  man who single-handed, with his single vote brought down the health care bill a fee weeks ago. Now again, he's challenging  president Trump's foreign policy in Afghanistan.

McCain's rebuke of president Trump is what I believe to be sour grapes. McCain ran for president and lost. He can't stand to see a person like president Trump, a former successful businessman sitting in the oval office. I tend to think that McCain, like McConnell, feels that president Trump is not one of  "them," a Washington, entrenched politician. And they openly flaunt the attitude that they are better than president Trump, a man they believe should not be president.

Through the years McCain worked his way into the position of chairman of the Armed Services Committee, and as such now thinks he knows how to run  the wars around the world. What a joke. This guy, was never a General. He has no experience of commanding military bases, never had hundreds of thousands of men under his  command, nor ever commanded an entire military theater of operations. Yet, he thinks he can tell our commander-in-chief, who has  numerous generals at his beckoned call, that he knows more than them.

McCain's military mindset is decades old. He is still living in the past, generations behind the times. His military strategies are obsolete. For years, and years, he, like Senator  Lindsey  Graham were "war mongers." McCain's answer to most any military crisis has been  "let's go to war." Remember when he was running for president, "YEARS AGO?"  He said, "Bomb, Bomb,  Bomb,-- Bomb, Bomb Iran." He couldn't wait to go to war. This guy is still stuck in World War II era thinking.

McCain's ideas and way of thinking are very outdated. McCain and McConnell are tired, over the hill, old men, dreaming  of what they had, and don't want to give up. They feel comfortable in their old ways and still want to be relevant. Their way to do that is to disagree with the president of the United States at every juncture. They want to be seen and heard but are frustrated that they are being left behind. Neither man has the smarts to catch up to the 21st century way of approaching problems and situations. They don't like that, so they strike out by bringing down the Republican party. These two Washington beltway colleagues choose to use obstruction, delaying tactics, slow-walk legislative goals, use verbal barbs against the administration,  and find fault with president Trump's attitude, personality and his way of doing things. They refuse to cooperate and embrace unity. They relish in the fact that they are not team players Voters, if there is a poster child for  term limits, these two party misfits qualify, above and beyond.

My view, if these two lawmakers do not get on board with the administrations goals in a short period of time ( a few weeks),  I would suggest that president Trump take away McCain's chairmanship, and dump McConnell as Majority Leader. -- And, that's  my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

PRESIDENT TRUMP, SUPPORT A CHALLENGER TO SENATOR HELLER, THE PARTY NEEDS TO DUMP OBSTRUCTIONISTS.

THE KUHNS REPORT

LAS VEGAS - Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

Senator Dean Heller, (R-NV ) has to go. I would ask all Republicans in Nevada to give this guy the boot. He has never supported president Trump. He wouldn't even endorsed Trump when Trump indicated he was going to run for president.

Personally, I am going to vote for the new guy challenging Heller for his seat. I wouldn't care if Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck were challenging dopey, lying Heller. I would give them my vote. I would trust them more that I do Heller.

Right now, Heller has competition for his seat. Another Nevada Republican, Danny Tarkanian, threw his hat in the ring to run against Heller. Hooray! Tarkanian said that he will support all of president Trump's policies and agenda.  And, yes, I take him at his word. I believe he really means it. Tarkanian was a Trump supporter, even when other Republicans were joking an laughing about Trump wanting to be president. This man jumped on the Trump train early on.

When Heller and Joe Heck, who are NV RINOS, (Republicans In Name Only), refused to support president Trump when the damaging conversation, (locker-room) talk was released, Tarkanian stood by Trump. Heller and Heck tried to kick Trump to the curb. They ran from Trump like their pants were on fire.

Heller, like Senator John McCain, took a sharp knife to Trump's back  on the Obamacare repeal issue. Heller lied, and betrayed the Nevada Republicans, the entire Republican party, every Republican voter, and America's middle-class, when  he  took the Democrats position and insisted on large Obamacare tax increases and the expansion of Medicaid.

Senator Heller, a closet Democrat, who pretends to be a Republican, gutted and tore apart the repeal legislation.  By the time Heller and his six colleagues carved up the repeal, it was a skeleton .Everything was picked off the bones.  So, I wouldn't even refer to the final work as a "skinny bill."

I submit, that Dean Heller, lied when he promised to support the Republicans policies and agenda just to get elected. With that, I would strongly urge President Trump to support Danny Tarkanian to fill Heller's senate seat.  I believe it is time for a president to actually campaign for a Republican challenger, to fill the seat (s) of those incumbents who turned their back on their own party, after they were elected. I suggest that president Trump let the American public know that he will support those politicians that  have a track record of supporting him, and his agenda. It may be against political norm for a president to support a challenger, but if anyone can do it, I have full confidence that president Trump can do it, and succeed.

Folks, we elected president Trump to get his policies carried out in Washington, and we need senators in those seats in Washington that believe in the president, his policies, and show that they will produce as advertised. -- And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

PRESIDENT TRUMP-PARDON SHERIFF ARPAIO. "POWER OF THE PEN."

THE KUHNS REPORT

LAS VEGAS - Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

Remember a few years ago when the battle cry was "Free Willy?" Well, Willy has been freed. Now I suggest the battle cry should be: "FREE SHERIFF  ARPAIO." Why?  Because 85-year-old Arpaio was one of the first  individuals that endorsed Trump for President. The toughest Sheriff in the nation fought for, and campaigned for, president Trump. While he was doing that the Sheriff not only continued to  protect the  citizens of Arizona, but the country by strictly enforcing the  immigration laws that are currently the law of the land. The same laws that  Trump  said he would enforce as he was seeking the presidency.

Like president Trump, Sheriff Arpaio, is a patriot, who believes in God and country, and the American way.  But now, one nammby, pammby, leftist, very liberal judge took it on himself to find Sheriff Arpaio guilty.

I say this tough Sheriff is not a guilty person. He had dedicated his life to law enforcement, serving and protecting the public. I submit that the guilty are the "illegal aliens", who entered the U.S. "illegally; began to collect welfare benefits; use stolen social security cards and identification; fail to pay the IRS taxes; work under table; lie and cheat on benefit forms and documents; and yes, commit felony crimes. These are guilty people- not Sheriff Arpaio.

Sheriff Arpaio was doing everything right by enforcing the immigration laws  already on the books. Fact is, he was doing everything that president Trump ran on. But  one, political, Trump hating, leftist, liberal judge, took it on himself to render a guilty verdict against a true, blue, "I love America"
patriot. In essence, this radical judge turned his back on the rule of law and the entire law enforcement community, as a whole.

This writer  pleads with, and would suggest, that president Trump right this wrong with the  "power of the pen." "PARDON SHERIFF ARPAIO." He should, and must overturn this abuse of the law by this judge who appears to have run amok. Finding Sheriff Arpaio guilty is truly a miscarriage of justice.

This judge clearly demonstrates he has no respect for the law and would rather side with the criminals and lawbreakers instead of showing support for the dedicated law enforcement people protecting our country each and every day.

Finally, my thought: Sheriff Arpaio has been a very loyal supporter of president Trump from the get-go. He was doing everything president Trump promised he would do, if elected. I suggest, that dedicated loyalty demands reciprocity. Show this judge that the rule of law reigns supreme and should, an must, protect those that enforce our laws. So, like  "free Willy, let's free Sheriff Arpaio." -- And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

TIME FOR CHINA TO STEP UP-MAKE A REGIME CHANGE IN NORTH KOREA. THEY CAN DO IT.

THE KUHNS  REPORT

LAS VEGAS - Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

North Korea is at it again. Yesterday, Kim Jong Un, threatened to send a missile to strike Guam, where the U.S. has a large military base stationed  there.

President Trump said there would be "Fire Fury and Power" raining down on North Korea. That's all fine and good. In an earlier blog I said that if we, the U.S., cannot stop Kim Jong Un's nuclear ambitions through diplomatic talks and  recent sanctions, then yes -- as a last resort, and only as a last resort, take this clown out. Annilate the entire country of North Korea.

I say we do not have a lot of time to play around with the Democrat and Republican dog and pony show going on in Washington. They cannot agree on the same time of day. For example, as soon as president  Trump mentioned, "Fire Fury and Power, " the Democratic leaders found fault with his statements, and like always picked away at him, and even the obstructionist, (don't get along, not a team player,) senator John McCain , R-AZ., takes unwarranted swipes at the president.

It was only last year when a lot of these incompetent congress people told us that it would be at least five years before North Korea would be able to put a nuclear weapon together, let alone capable of striking the U.S. That's what president Obama told president Trump, as he was turning over the White House following the election.

President Clinton gave North Korea "billions of dollars."on North Korea's promise to stop working on a nuclear program. They took our billions and secretly continued building nuclear capability. Then president Obama, carried out the same policy as the Clinton  administration. And again, North Korea continued to go forward with their nukes. All this time our lame brains in Washington were sitting around twiddling their fingers refusing to take steps to upgrade our sophisticated defense weapons systems.

Now, North Korea is a clear and present danger and has moved  rapidly to weaponize to the point where their missiles can reach, not only the  west coast, but as far east as New York City.  North Korea now has the ability to miniaturize a nuclear head on an ICBM missile. And yet, our arm chair talking heads in and out of congress are saying North Korea is still 12 to 18 months away from having a viable weapon. What the devil is the matter with these lazy bums.

Folks, I predict that we, the U.S., only have a matter of months to act.

First, I would suggest that our military defense begin to upgrade all of the old, missile defense systems, and bring on line the laser technology systems that we have had operational ready for years. The missile deterrent system we have now, and have been crowing about these past few weeks, will not be capable to stop numerous missiles fired at one time. The reports indicate that we are lucky if we  score a hit only fifty (50) percent of the time, when trying to bring down only "one"  missile fire. That' bad odds people.

Second, as I said before- increase the effort to have diplomatic talks with North Korea , face to face so as to let  KIM JONG Un understand how serious we are about wiping their country off the face of the earth if they fire a missile  toward U.S. territory.

Third, put immense pressure on China to rein in North Korea. China is the only one that  has the power to force North Korea to stop their warring, threatening ways. China provides North Korea with ninety (90%) percent of their needs. China could put a stop to North Korea if they wanted to. but they have been dragging their feet. True, China signed on, as Russia did, to sanction North Korea but that does no good if they continue to prop us this rogue regime.

My suggestion to Washington and congress, regarding China is:

Place HEAVY, HEAVY, HEAVY sanctions on China. Place sanctions on China just as we did to North Korea. Except, these sanctions should be even more strict than those put on North Korea. As I stated in previous blogs. Give China a deadline to act. At this point in time I would suggest a ONE WEEK time line for China to act. No more. Make China understand that if they do not rein in this North Korea mad man, they, China, will have a big, big, price to pay,

What kind of sanctions should we place on China?  Lets start with the banking system. Stop  doing business with China banks and their financial system. We can restrict trade with China-(I think that would be  a good thing, personally). China has been taking advantage of America by stealing our intellectual property; using cyber-attacks against America; stealing billions of  names, addresses, passwords, confidential, sensitive data from our government agencies and corporations; and manipulating the currency to put America in debt. We can also freeze bank accounts of China and their elite party members who hide moneys and property here in the U.S.

Included in  those sanctions, we should stop China from buying and selling property here in the United States.. Basically, do  not allow China to invest in the United States and/or own property here. And, most of all, -- stop all of the Chinese leaders from sending their children and family members over here to be educated at our  higher learning  institutions. It seems as if all of China and their elite is willing to pay premium prices to get their children, friends, and relatives credentialed with degrees at Caltech, Berkeley, Stanford,  UCLA or USC. It's time to stop enormous numbers of the Chinese from coming to the U.S. to be educated. And what do the Chinese do after graduation. Return to China and use what they have learned  here in the U.S., against us. How crazy is this? We allow the Chinese to buy, sell, and own property here in the U.S., we educate their children and families in  our elite universities, but still, the Chinese government tells us they will take sides in  a military conflict "against us." That is unacceptable to this writer. I see it as an "either-or" situation. China can either support the U.S. as a global partner, or partner with rogue regimes and become an enemy of the U.S.

Clearly, very strict sanctions  would be  painful to the U.S. economy in the short term, but if that is what it takes to bring China in line,-- we Americans can stand a  little pain. It's better than coddling the Chinese like the last few administration has done. Bottom line: China either wants to work and support the American people, or they don't.

Why do I suggest these drastic sanctions on China? Simple. China has made it clear that they will side with North Korea in a conflict. They walked that statement back to some degree recently but we cannot trust the Chinese at their word. To prove  lack of trust--China said they would abide by the tough sanctions  against North Korea which they voted to enforce but they still choose to supply North Korea with supplies and energy.

Fourth, let China now that we will help weaponize South Korea, Japan, and Viet Nam with nuclear defense capability. I'm sure that will get China's attention, big time.. And, I would bet that when they see the heavy sanctions being placed on them, as well as having  their neighboring countries possess nuclear weapons, China, in all likelihood would consider changing the regime in North Korea. They then might take out Kim Jong Un, and replace him with a leader that they, China, can control.  China certainly knows all of the players in Kim Jong Un's regime. My way of thinking is that a change of regime in North Korea, carried out by China, is a very viable solution.  Once that regime change in North Korea is done, all of the sanctions placed on China could be lifted. Then the world could return to normal. As a move to sweeten the pot, and as an incentive, to have China act,  I would suggest our government advise China that the U.S. would seriously consider removing and withdrawing all military troops now stationed  as a barrier in South Korea. China has wanted that move for decades. And, that's my opinion, Make your own decisions. You decide.
