LAS VEGAS-Hello America, and how is the world treating you?
The world financial situation is in turmoil. Greece needs a bailout, Italy, Spain and Portugal need a financial infusion and it appears the world doesn't have enough money to bail out Italy. Wow! The European Union (EU) is a disaster. Right now even Germany is having problems as they try to get the EU back on track.
This one world, one CURRENCY is a failed fiasco. Prior to the 17 countries that decided to use the EURO as the currency of record, the various nations were doing just fine. Each country had their own sovereign currency and import/export , trade and commerce were humming along. However, when these few stupid financial titans that claim to know what's good for the world and its economy made the decision to put Europe on track to use only one currency, the European economy started its downward spiral.
As soon as the euro was introduced and made the currency in Europe, Italy and other nations began to borrow money like there was no tomorrow. Italy, Spain, Greece and Portugal immediately began to increase the wages and benefits of all of their public employees. They began spending like a drunken sailor. Now the bottom has fallen out of the euro and we in the United States,, Canada, Japan and even China have to come to the rescue of Europe.
I said it before and even said it as early as the initial suggestion that Europe adopt a one currency policy - - and, I'll say it again. BAD IDEA. It was a bad idea from the get go.
Now financial and economic experts are saying that if the euro collapses, it will be a financial disaster. I totally disagree.
Europe is now playing the same game that our banks here in the United States played. Our banking industry caused the financial problems in America by using a financial ponzi scheme of derivatives and shady financial dealing that indeed caused our American economy to collapse.
Our politicians then bailed out all of those corrupt wall street individuals to the tune of billions of dollars who then kept the money, gave themselves millions and millions in bonuses and left the middle class working person to swing in the wind. Folks, this is what Europe is attempting to do now. They want a bailout in the TRILLIONS of dollars and want the world to save their butt and the only one who will get hurt is the hard working middle class private sector employees in each and every country around the world.
Greece, Italy, Spain and Portugal want to continue to pay over the top retirements, pensions, benefits and bonuses for all of their PUBLIC EMPLOYEES at the rest of the worlds expense. That is not fair. And now, even the UK is basically in the same boat. They let their public employees receive more than generous benefits for decades and now those unions do not want to give up any of those goodies. Instead, they would rather see their country go down the same road as Greece, Italy and Portugal.
I've always maintained that no country, in Europe or America, can sustain the cost of supporting these public employee unions and their outlandish demands every year. If an employer, whether it be in the private or public sector pays a reasonable wage and offers a reasonable 401 (k) retirement plan there would be thousands of applicants standing in line for the jobs. If that were the case all wages, retirement and pension packages would be about equal and fair, both in the private and public sector.
I submit that no country or any large bank or corporation is to large to fail. Let them go belly-up. They brought in on themselves. Those countries that got themselves into this situation should pull themselves out of it on their own. Let the leaders of those countries start cutting lavish public employee sector wages, benefits, vacations and pensions and clearly tell their people that it is the only way to survive.
As long as the rest of the world keeps pumping billions and trillions of dollars into these financially corrupt countries there will be no change. They will take the money and continue on their current path of inaction and continue to come back to the well for more money . However, if they don't have our money to rely on you can bet that those countries will adapt very quickly. Cost cutting would happen overnight.
I would suggest that the world let the euro currency go by the wayside and put all of the countries back on their original currency. The world is not ready and doesn't need a one world currency. Why would anyone take something that was working very well and trash it like these world leaders did? -And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

Herman Cain For President-No Way!

LAS VEGAS- Hello America, and how is the world treating you?
Herman Cain for President? You're kidding, right? Here's a man that is alleged to have committed sexual harassment against women. Some of his acts described by some of these women are disgusting. In fact, some of the women won awards of money because of his inappropriate actions. Cain continues to try to rationalize his actions and denies what the money was paid out for. He continues to attempt to parse the reasons why the women received their money. He should step up and take responsibility for his bad behavior and actions.
When he was confronted with the women's allegations he became arrogant, defiant and angry and tried to deflect reporters questions by saying he will not answer their questions. To me, he looks like an angry man and a person that if he does not get his way he will retaliate against those that find fault with him. But, that''s only my opinion.
As far as being a person that has knowledge of domestic or foreign affairs it looks like Cain is lacking those skills. Recently while in Florida he asked a person "How do you say"good" in Cuban, (or something of that nature.) A memo to Cain - - Cubans speak Spanish. Then lets not forget his flubs on Libya. He mixed up Libya with Iraq and Afghanistan.
Folks, the guy brings a lot of baggage to the office of President. Presidential material? I think not.
He may have served Godfather pizza well and that's great. He has found his calling. Apparently he is good at that endeavor. I say, let him continue to operate pizza parlors but don't allow him to operate the country.- And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

Natalie Wood's Death Should Be Reinvestigated From Square One

There is new information in the Natalie Wood case. After thirty years the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department say they are going to look at Woods death once again. I say, it's about time, but I fear it's thirty years too late.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's department has been star struck for decades and generally give celebrities a free pass when it comes to investigations and jail time. An example, lets look at Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton, just to mention two cases. These two ladies get in trouble over and over again, they commit crimes but when it comes time for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department to incarcerate them so they will do time, the star struck sheriff lets them skate with only hours at the jail facility rather than serving 30, 60, or more days for their crimes. Come on, a thirty day sentence in jail is reduced to approximately FOUR (4) HOURS by the pandering sheriff.
I suspect that is what happened thirty years ago in the Natalie Wood death. The sheriff's department only performed a cursory examination, accepted the word of two celebrities, Robert Wagner and Christopher Walken and accepted the conclusion that Natalie Woods death was an accidental drowning, based on their statements. Then the Sheriff's Department went their merry way.
Last night on 48 Hours television show the sheriff investigator that said he conducted the investigation thirty years ago said that he believed and accepted the the word of the celebrities and the yacht captain at the time. Really? What other steps did this star struck sheriff's investigator take to check the veracity and truthfulness of the statements of the celebrities and the employee, yacht captain, Dennis Davern.
And now, according to the evening news, a Los Angeles County sheriff representative being questioned in front of cameras was asked the question: "Is Robert Wagner a suspect?", he replied with a very strong and clear "NO." Again, really?
I would think in any investigation, whether it is one day old or thirty years old the law enforcement agency would have said something like: "everyone is a suspect" or "everyone is considered a person of interest"and we cannot rule out anyone or anything until the investigation is completed.
The yacht captain, Dennis Davern came forward and admitted he lied thirty years ago and went o to say that Wagner would not allow him to use the yacht flood lights to search the waters when they could not locate Woods on the craft. Wagner also allegedly told Davern not to contact authorities when Davern said they should do so. In fact, it was hours after Woods was known to be missing that Wagner finally contacted the Coast Guard . Then, there was the woman in a boat near the Wagner yacht that stated she head a woman yelling and screaming for help. Folks, there is a lot of unanswered questions surrounding Natalie Woods death.
Lets look at the situation: There were only four people on the yacht-Wagner,. Walken, Woods and captain Davern. One of those four people wound up dead. That leaves three people that knows what actually happened on board the yacht. That should be a simple investigation for any law enforcement agency. It's not like someone being killed in any city or town and the suspects might be anyone out of thousands of people. The crime scene was a 60 foot yacht and only THREE people that should have been investigated.
It has been reported that the night Woods died Wagner was jealous from the moment Walken boarded the craft for the outing. It was further reported that Wagner expressed his jealousy that Walken was trying to possible sleep with Wood and Wagner became very angry . The anger resulted in a loud, drunken confrontation and apparently Wagner was so enraged he smashed a bottle of wine into a table, thereby breaking the bottle. That was something Wagner later admitted in his biography but had failed to tell the sheriff's investigators at the night of the death.
As a person that worked in law enforcement for years and who had worked for the Los Angeles Police Department I can say that in all likelihood the investigation into Woods death would have in all likelihood been handled differently. Why? For one, having personal knowledge of how precise investigators at LAPD generally approached their task at hand and based on death investigations handled by competent officers I can imagine a scenario such as:
First, the investigating officers would have taken statements from the three men that were on board at the time Woods was said to have gone missing.Second, Use the SID unit to go over the yacht from stem to stern. Third, have all three men (celebrity or not) consent to an LAPD polygraph examination so as to confirm their truth and veracity as to their initial statements.
I submit, that if the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department did just those three things when they initially responded to the scene, they clearly could have determined if all three men were being truthful as to the events surrounding Woods death. If in fact, yacht captain Davern was lying then as he now claims he did, you can be sure that the LAPD polygraph examination would have determined he was lying about the incident. And, the examination would have also determined if Wagner's and Walken's version of events of Natalie Woods death were accurate.
While I was employed with LAPD, It was not uncommon for the investigating officers to verify the statements of any victims, witnesses and suspects by bringing them to our polygraph section.
I would suspect that the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department did not verify the statements of the three men involved in the situation. It appears the investigator(s) on the case probably took everything at face value, became star struck and skimped on investigation protocol. For one, I would certainly like to actually see what the sheriff investigators did do in handling this investigation back in 1981. How in depth is the sheriff departments report on the incident? What did the Sheriff's office do as to forensics regarding the yacht?
I submit that if one or more of those three men on the yacht were actually lying as to the circumstances surrounding Natalie Woods death, it could have been determined back in 1981. And, if the investigation of the yacht and polygraph examinations showed that all of the statements were true - - CASE CLOSED. But I suspect because of a shaky,sloppy and probable incompetent investigation a mystery of Woods death will always be there.- And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

Dr. Murray Shouldn't Get a Free Pass in Sentencing. What's This Early Release Idea?

Well, Dr. Conrad Murray has be found guilty in the death of pop star Michael Jackson and already before sentencing, the media is reporting that even if doctor Murray receives four years in prison his sentence for Jackson's death will be reduced to possibly a year or less because the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department and the Department Corrections are citing "JAIL OVERCROWDING:. They also reported that he "COULD" loss his medical license. Can you believe that?
Here is a man that was found guilty of causing a persons death and doing a lot of other bad things as a medical doctor and now may be allowed to slide by without any real consequences.
Christ, the cost of the trial to the citizens of California would warrant more than a slap on the wrist for someone that was found guilty of causing the death of another person.
My view, doctor Murray should do the full four years, if that is the maximum sentence. The only time off should be for good behavior. As to his medical license's in Texas, California and Nevada and where ever else he may hold one, those licenses should be revoked immediately. There should be no "could", or:maybe" about his medical license. He practiced bad medicine, period! He should not be put on suspension or probation with any medical board. He should be banished from the practice of any medicine, ANYWHERE in the United States. - And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

Lindsay Lohan-Sheriff's Dept. and the Courts Sleep in the Same Bed

Lindsay Lohan again skates off by not being held accountable for her misdeeds. How many times does this celebrity wannabe get a break? She was recently sentenced to 30 days in jail and when she reported to do her time the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department once again let her off of the hook. She spent less than five hours incarcerated in jail. What a joke.
The sheriff has given this party girl a pass on previous occasions. In fact when she was sentenced in 2007, she only spent 84 MINUTES in custody. Talk about star struck law enforcement. The sheriff has his own idea of punishment of celebrities versus average everyday citizens.
If this troublesome, flaky lady was ordered to serve 30 days then she should have done the time of thirty days. The problem is not only the Sheriff. In fact, the judge should have taken into account that the Sheriff would use the excuse of overcrowding in the jail system so he could release Lohan.
If the judge knew or suspected that the sheriff would release Lohan early(like he has done in the past) then the judge should have given a stiff sentence of possibly a year in jail and then, Lohan may have served a full 30 days. What a joke this early release program is. If a person commits a crime and is sentenced to 30 days, 6 months or a year that criminal should do the time, with time off for good behavior.
It clearly shows that the court system and the law-enforcement in California plays favorites as to who does time and who gets a free pass.
How many bites of the apple does this Lohan get before she has to do real time in jail? Her free passes gives her the incentive to go out and steal again, or use drugs again or become involved in automobile accidents again and know that she will not be held responsible for her actions, "just because she is who she is", a half baked trouble making celebrity.
The Sheriff's Department put out a press release that Lohan did not get any favors. They went on to say: "She's treated like any other inmate who has gone through similar circumstances." Really? If you believe that, I have a big bridge in New York that I will sell you. -And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

The Nations Food Supply Is In Danger

Terrorism protection? Great, but don't use the agricultural scientists meant to stop pest invasions to screen for anti-terrorism suspects. When Homeland Security began using the Agriculture specialists for terrorism duty our crops in this nation have been experiencing billions of dollars in damage.
These pests that come into the country devastate our crops and they attack the fruits and vegetables that are being grown nationwide.
Here are some of the pests that are ravaging our fruits and vegetables and because of that the price of food will jump by leaps and bounds. They are:
1. The Asian citrus psyllid: Carries a disease that decimates the Florida orange groves.
2. New Zealand light brown apple moth: An invasion in California caused the government to spray the Monterey Bay area with over 1600 pounds of pesticides. The cost of eradication was a whopping $110 million dollars and it did not work at all. Plus, the spraying caused thousands of people to complain of respiratory problems.
3. The sweet orange scab: is a fungal disease that destroys citrus. It hit crops in Texas, Louisiana, Florida, and Mississippi.
4. The erythrina gall wasp: destroyed Hawaii's wiliwili trees. These are the trees that produce seeds that make leis.

Terrorism protection? Great, but don't use the agricultural scientists meant to stop pest invasions to screen for anti-terrorism suspects. When Homeland Security began using the Agriculture specialists for terrorism duty our crops in this nation have been experiencing billions of dollars in damage.
These pests that come into the country devastate our crops and they attack the fruits and vegetables that are being grown nationwide.
Here are some of the pests that are ravaging our fruits and vegetables and because of that the price of food will jump by leaps and bounds. They are:
1. The Asian citrus psyllid: Carries a disease that decimates the Florida orange groves.
2. New Zealand light brown apple moth: An invasion in California caused the government to spray the Monterey Bay area with over 1600 pounds of pesticides. The cost of eradication was a whopping $110 million dollars and it did not work at all. Plus, the spraying caused thousands of people to complain of respiratory problems.
3. The sweet orange scab: is a fungal disease that destroys citrus. It hit crops in Texas, Louisiana, Florida, and Mississippi.
4. The erythrina gall wasp: destroyed Hawaii's wiliwili trees. These are the trees that produce seeds that make leis.

The Illegal Alien Problem. 34 Years Since The Warning and Lawmakers Still Sit On Their Hands

President Obama, Rick Perry, Mitt Romney are all individuals that do not want to secure our borders. They ignore the immigration issue constantly. In fact, a few of the above mentioned persons want to allow illegal immigration to flourish in this country.
I would like to cite some information regarding illegal immigration. In a U.S. News and World Report which is dated April 25, 1977, there is an article titled: "The Border Crisis, Illegal Aliens Out of Control? "
Christ, that article appeared in the media 34 years ago and believe it or not President after President cast a blind eye on the issue. Instead, President Ronald Reagan decided to give amnesty to over THREE MILLION illegal aliens. In doing so, her promised that this amnesty would be a one time thing and it would secure the borders of the United States from any future illegal alien influx. Well, we can see where that amnesty program got us, right?
Both parties are to blame for the inaction on securing the borders of the United States. The Democrats were in power and held the White House for 14 years and the Republicans were in power for 20 years. My question to these two parties is: In all that time, why wasn't the illegal aliens controlled?
In 1977, it was reported that there were an estimated 462,315 illegal aliens in the United States but in 2010 there were an estimated 11.2 million illegal aliens in this country and that figure is on the low side because there are some media outlets and statistical groups that say there are actually between 14 million and 21 million illegal aliens in America. That's a shame.
Our Congress and lawmakers have continually failed to address the illegal alien situation since the 1977 article shouted the news across the country. It seems very clear that the Congress and lawmakers across the nation only want to pander to the illegal alien and give away free education, free food, and free medical care so that they can garner votes from this segment of society.
Folks, the middle class has to stand up and insist that these incompetent lawmakers secure our borders and STOP the illegal invasion that has been occurring for over 30 years. Tell these lawmakers to allow states like Alabama and Arizona, who have passed strict immigration laws in order to control the problem to enforce those laws. Tell the Federal government to stop these lawsuits against the states that want to control illegal aliens.
I believe states like Arizona and Alabama that dare to take the matter into their own hands are clearly doing the right thing. Further, I submit that the working American citizens and legal residents , who are the taxpayers in this country have a right to stop any person that is in this country illegally from taking jobs away from American citizens and taking free education, free medical care, welfare and social service benefits.
Since the Federal government has failed miserably over the past 34 years to control the illegal alien, I say it's time for the states to act on their own.
I submit that if a state like California would immediately cease to provide a free education for illegal aliens, that alone would put billions of dollars back into the state coffers. Lets also consider the billions of dollars that would be saved if California, or any other state would stop all the free health care to the illegal alien . Folks, the states would again be flush with money and would not have to cut programs and services to the legal residents and citizens in their state.
Finally if the Congress and lawmakers would mandate and make it law that all employers in this country have to use the E-Verify system before hiring any person for a job position (that includes American citizens and legal residents) that act alone would insure that only legal citizens and residents are working on the job.
Note: Every job applicant being screened through the E-Verify system, for any job anywhere in the U.S., would prevent any person or group from complaining that any one person or group is being targeted. I believe that would be a fair process. The American citizen and the legal resident would have nothing to worry about and the E-Verify system would insure that the job being held is not being taken by an illegal alien.
I also think that there are many ways to control the immigration issue and protect and provide jobs for the legal citizens in this country while at the same time being certain that monies, social services and health care are being used only for legal individuals in this country.
It appears that the Congress and lawmakers have no heart, no drive and no desire to control illegal alien immigration - - - that's for sure, because the proof is in the pudding. Thirty-Four (34) years of total inaction on this issue. - And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

Making Tony Bennet Defend His Love of America Is Unacceptable To Me

Talk about being political correct, the nanny government talking heads and groups with an agenda are at it again. Recently, the well known personality and singer Mr. Tony Bennett shared his opinion on a radio show about the state of the world and gave his opinion on terrorism and the 9-11 incident.
It appears some who disagreed with his "OPINION" began to insinuate that Mr. Bennett was not a true, Red, White and Blue American. What the hell is this country coming too?
This elderly gentlemen, with an exceptional talent, that contributed more to this country than many of those that accused him of being Un-American didn't deserve their scorn.
In fact, they pushed and pushed their "opinion" so hard that Mr. Bennett caved in and went before the American public and addressed America from the ball field having to defend his love for America.
I wonder where our belief in "free speech" went? In this America I know, everyone has a right to say and express their views and beliefs without fear. However, now-a-day it appears the people of America have to walk on egg shells and spout a political correct line. I agree no person has the a right to yell "fire" in a movie theater but when anyone does offer their views on political, governmental, military, religious, and everyday matters, they should be allow to do so with making apologizes.
Personally, I agree with some of Mr. Bennett's opinions and maintain he has a right to those opinions. I say that if someone or some group does not like another persons take on a subject they clearly have a right to voice their own opinion. That's life! That's what America is about- - - freedom.
So, come on America, stop this political correct posturing and allow every one to express their views and opinions without being castigated or shaming them to go before a public audience and apologize . When these goody do-rights belittle, shame or insist on an apology from a person that's not the America I was brought up in. What that does remind me of though is those countries that send someone with a different view to a re-education camp so they can spout the party line as they see it.
As to my view on "free speech" - - "Let freedom ring", let a person say and express their views without fear of any kind.
What they did to Mr. Tony Bennett is shameful. My suggestion to Mr. Bennett - continue to express your views, beliefs and opinions freely. If any one person, group or government attempts to shame you or demand an apology for any opinion you may have, tell them to take a hike and get out of your face. - And, that's my opinion. Occupy Wall Street Movement Should Get Specific In Demands

The"Occupy Wall Street" protests are having an effect across the country. The sit-in has now been going on for days, and just today the city of Las Vegas has a group of protesters marching in support of the Occupy Wall Street group.
It has been reported by many media talking heads that there is no organization and no real demands by the Occupy Wall Street group. That might be so, but the demonstrators are on the right track if they begin to hold Congress and the lawmakers feet to the fire in order to affect change.
I would suggest that these demonstrations that are occurring across in the county are a clear showing that the masses are really fed up with the greed of Wall Street.
Let me express my disgust at Wall Street greed.
For one, lets look at the banks:
The banking industry received billions of dollars in taxpayer money bailouts but continue to squeeze each and every penny out of its customers, with the blessing of the Banking Committee in Washington. It appears to me the banking committee and many in Congress are more interested in the billions of dollars in contributions that they receive for their reelection campaigns as a group.
Congress made a few small tweaks to the regulations on the banks but did nothing really substantial to reign in the bankers greed. In fact, the banks retaliated for the small tweaks of regulation by using loopholes in the system to pass any losses they may experience due to new regulations right on to the customers pocket book.
Fact, Congress allowed the banks to continue to raise fees for most anything the banks wanted to construe as a fee. For example, most major banks are all following Bank of America's recent move to charge customers a whopping FIVE DOLLARS a month if they swipe their debit card. Some of the banks intend to charge $3.00 but you can bet that once they start the practice they will all get together and settle on approximately the same fee structure.
There are already some banks charging the customer a fee if the customer goes inside the bank and uses a teller to complete a transaction. What a rip off!
Folks, in the not too distant past the banks used to pay a fair interest on the funds that people had in their accounts, whether it be checking or savings. And, the banks competed against each other offering different interest rates to attract the customer. However, the banking industry got together and decided that if they acted in concert they could all agree to pay nearly zero interest and there would be no recourse for the banking customer. Now the banks are paying less that (ONE PERCENT) interest on a customers money while using the customers funds themselves.
I know that the days of 10% interest on a saving account, CD, or money market account are long gone BUT do I believe that the banks should be mandated by Congress to pay at least a "THREE PERCENT" interest rate to customers on their money that is on deposit in the bank? You bet I do. As it stands now the banks are not paying interest because they know that they can get away with it, with the blessing of the pandering lawmakers.
The Administration and Congress advise people to save money and it will grow. Are they kidding ? How can ANYONE save money in any institution if that institution is paying a lousy one-half of a percent on a customers fund in their bank?
These greedy bankers are using your money which they will not allow to grow because of the lack of any significant interest. They also have the audacity to ding each customer for fees that they make up as they go along just so they can continue to pay the excessive executive salaries and fill their pockets with our dollars. With the bankers taking your money in and using it for their gain an benefit and refusing to pay you a reasonable interest rate will deplete your money in their bank by leaps and bounds. You, the customer will never be able to save any money with the way the banking system is currently operating. Is it a scam? I would think it could be classified as one.
I would suggest that this "OCCUPY WALL STREET" movement in New York City and other cities across the country begin to demand specifics from our lawmakers in regards to the bankers, such as:
1. Insist that the lawmakers in Congress mandate that the banks pay at least THREE PERCENT ( 3%) interest on a customers monies that they have on on deposit in the bank.
2. Insist that the Congress take immediate action and review any and all fees that the banks are charging customers and get rid of all those frivolous fees such as:
(A) "a charge to see a teller." ( banks are supposed to provide customer service and a teller is part of that service.)
(B) Stop charging customers a fee of $2,3, or $5.00 a month just because they swipe their debit card. (The banks came up with these debit cards years ago with the idea that it would be easier for the customer to transact banking business. But now they use them for profit mongering).
(C) Insist that Congress return to the banking regulations that were put in place following the Great Depression. The regulations worked very well for decades until the lawmakers began to unravel them for the sake of monies from the banking industry.- And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

The Administration and Congress advise people to save money and it will grow. Are they kidding ? How can ANYONE save money in any institution if that institution is paying a lousy one-half of a percent on a customers fund in their bank?
These greedy bankers are using your money which they will not allow to grow because of the lack of any significant interest. They also have the audacity to ding each customer for fees that they make up as they go along just so they can continue to pay the excessive executive salaries and fill their pockets with our dollars. With the bankers taking your money in and using it for their gain an benefit and refusing to pay you a reasonable interest rate will deplete your money in their bank by leaps and bounds. You, the customer will never be able to save any money with the way the banking system is currently operating. Is it a scam? I would think it could be classified as one.
I would suggest that this "OCCUPY WALL STREET" movement in New York City and other cities across the country begin to demand specifics from our lawmakers in regards to the bankers, such as:
1. Insist that the lawmakers in Congress mandate that the banks pay at least THREE PERCENT ( 3%) interest on a customers monies that they have on on deposit in the bank.
2. Insist that the Congress take immediate action and review any and all fees that the banks are charging customers and get rid of all those frivolous fees such as:
(A) "a charge to see a teller." ( banks are supposed to provide customer service and a teller is part of that service.)
(B) Stop charging customers a fee of $2,3, or $5.00 a month just because they swipe their debit card. (The banks came up with these debit cards years ago with the idea that it would be easier for the customer to transact banking business. But now they use them for profit mongering).
(C) Insist that Congress return to the banking regulations that were put in place following the Great Depression. The regulations worked very well for decades until the lawmakers began to unravel them for the sake of monies from the banking industry.- And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

Was Justice Done In the Amanda Knox Case?

Amanda Know released from and Italian prison. She was set free by the Italian courts. Do you think Justice was really done? I don't.
There was mayhem in the streets outside the courthouse when the verdict was handed down. The Italian people were outraged.
The verdict for Knox can be likened to the verdict in the Casey Anthony verdict here in the U.S.A.
Everyone has an opinion and no one will ever know, except Amanda and her boyfriend, the truth of what happened in Knox's apartment when the young U.K. victim, Meredith Kercher was slaughtered about four years ago. My sympathies go out to the victims family.
I believe because of pressure from the United States on Italy this case was manipulated to rally and gain support for Knox. In fact, any comments or news about Kercher was dragged into the background and Meredith was ignored.
Does some people get away with murder? Sometimes. Did Casey Anthony get away with Murder? Did Amanda Knox get away with murder? Whatever the case may be with these two people they will be set to make millions of dollars on books, movies and other income producing events. In my way of thinking, that is sad.
The prosecutors in Italy want to appeal the sentence to a higher court. If they would succeed, they could ask that Knox be extradited back to Italy but I think you and I and the rest of the world know that the chance of that ever happening is "zero". It would be a cold day in hell that the United States would send her back to face Italian Justice again.
Italy had been known to be a corrupt nation.Their politicians and lawmakers have been accused of corruption many times in the past. Add that with pressure from the United States and stir gently. Who knows what promises were made behind the scenes to get Knox freed and sent back home to the good ol' USA. - And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

Alabama County On Verge of Bankruptcy? Public Employees Cause the Problems

The largest county in Alabama just slid by on the skin of their teeth avoiding bankruptcy. Jefferson County was trying to avoid bankruptcy for a long time. The saving factor was that Wall Street agreed to forgive about $1 billion dollars of debt and refinance about $2 billion dollars..
If the bankruptcy went through it would have over shadowed the record bankruptcy filed by Orange County. California, in 1994. whose debts were $1.7 billion dollars.
What brought Orange County, California to its knees was the over generous salaries, bonuses, COLA's (cost-of-living ) and fat, obscene pension and retirement plans for the public employee unions. But the taxpayer had to foot the bill and bail the county out. And, the same goes for Alabama and their public employee unions. These public employees and their unions demand and insist on receiving monies and retirement packages for their union members that are so big the payments cannot be sustained.
No private sector worker can be guaranteed a job, a salary, a cost of living of 4,5,6,7 percent a year, and free health care for the employee and their family for life. But the public employee feels entitled. In fact, Orange County, California has not learned their lesson from the taxpayer bailout because the county is right back doing the same things they did prior to the bankruptcy over a decade ago. They still write very lucrative, generous union contracts for their public employees. They have learned nothing from their bankruptcy. The sad part is, Alabama and many other states know what they did wrong but they continue to negotiate union contracts for public employees at the expense of the middle income taxpayer in the private sector.
I say, it's about time the cities, counties, states and federal government start laying off and firing the public employees and have them be treated like private sector employees. There should be no GUARANTEES of a job, continued raises in salary and guaranteed retirement and pensions.
A telephone company recently laid off over 30,000 employees, as we speak, Bank of America is laying off about 30,000 and Borders books recently laid off thousands of employees. Actions like this are common place and occurring each and every day across this country in the private sector. So, - - why not let the public employee union members feel the pain also? - And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

A Half Billion Dollars Tax Money Given to Obama's Friends

Favoritism from Obama with taxpayer stimulus money. The Obama administration restructured a HALF BILLION dollar loan for a financially troubled solar energy company. The solar panel maker Solyndra Inc., was on the brink of bankruptcy and about to lay off 1000 employees. This company was bleeding hundreds of millions of dollars for many years but the Obama administration signed off on the gigantic loan anyway.
I believe that Obama and his staff and administration repaid favors for political supporters. Why else would he take our tax paying dollars and give a crippled, struggling company who was already to file for bankruptcy over $500 BILLION dollar?
The George Kaiser Family Foundation of Tulsa, Oklahoma is headed by billionaire George Kaiser and he contributed between $50,000 and $100,000.00 to Obama's campaign and Rob Walton, the son of Sam Walton gave Obama's campaign approximately $2500.00 last year. Both persons were affiliated with Solyndra in some way. and it should be noted that Kaiser had made at least 16 visits to the president's aides since 2009 according to White House visitor logs.
There should be an investigation into the squandering of the half-billion dollars of our tax money. I would submit, Obama should have let this shaky company go bankrupt before he pushed for the money to be paid. Where did the billions go? Soon after receiving all of that money the company still went into bankruptcy and still let over 1000 employees go. What does that tell you folks? Why does Obama and his administration always jump in and bail out banks, corporations and political donors? Our tax money means nothing to this White House.
I would think that many politicians gained from allowing the $500 billion dollar fiasco. I would like an accounting of just where all of this money that was given to the bankrupt company was allocated. People, politics stinks. - And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

There never should have been a currency swap for the Euro. I believe that each country should have retained their own currency as they had done for centuries. The idiot lawmakers and supposed financial titans around the world decided what should be good for a one world economy. Now the world is reaping what it sows.
Now Greece is on the brink of collapse, then there is Italy, Spain and Portugal. Folks, for centuries the world was doing very well with each country using their own currency for financial transactions. We has a rate of exchange for each and every country and world trade worked out very well. Now? A disaster.
Because of countries like Greece who squandered their monies on elaborate public employee pensions, retirements and vacations and who made the transition over to the Euro then went to the World Bank and IMF and ask for BILLIONS of dollars to bail them out saying that the rest of the world owed them now that they are on the Euro system. You can bet that countries like Italy, Spain and Portugal will follow suit because they too want the rest of the world to support their countries lifestyle.
This ONE currency, ONE world is a bunch of crap. The only thing the move to the Euro did throughout Europe was to enrich a number of bankers, financial investors,some world leaders and a group of elites that control the money around the world. The result was that they dragged the world into a sever funk and disassembled, fragmented economy.
My suggestion would be to disengage from the Euro system and have each and every country return to their own currency like before. If any specific nation does i9n fact squander their countries wealth and literally goes bankrupt, SO BE IT. Let them rise and fall on their own merit. The other countries that that are pruden, competent and capable of handling their own financial affairs will survive.
The United States and other countries and the world banking system should not be required to continually bail out those countries that have no inkling on how to operate a stable government. Let them fail, the strong will survive. It's time to stop all of these handouts and stop enabling the other countries. - And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You Decide.

Obama's Job Bill Clearly Misses the Mark

Obama's job bill is being pushed as a panacea to our problems in this failing, dire economy. The bill has large, gaping flaws. One is Obama extending the unemployment benefits for the people that has not been working for over two years. That particular part of the bill does not help the economy. It takes the taxpayers money, those working middle class people, and provides a crutch for those wanting to stay unemployed. The longer a person is unemployed and is collecting a FREE check form Uncle Sam , the less incentive they have of going out and working for a paycheck.
Most of the research and literature show that these long-term unemployed people would rather collect the free money instead of working at a minimum wage job. All Obama is doing is starting a new sub-class of people and enabling the unemployed to live without working for a salary. Christ, when a person does not work for over two years I say there is a problem. I would suspect that the unemployed person refuses to accept employment in any shape or form.
My suggestion to Obama and his colleagues - - STOP the continual unemployment extensions. Each 13 week extension costs us taxpayers at least $12 Billion dollars. Put a limit on the weeks a person can collect unemployment benefits. Let the person collect the benefits for 13 weeks, then give that person ONE extension of an additional 13 weeks. That's it! When that unemployed person knows that they cannot collect any further benefits after being unemployed for six months I predict that the individual will find a job within that six month period. If they don't, then, tough love. They can look to their relatives and family and friends for assistance but the working people of this country should not be obligated to support a whole, new class of people and reward them for not working and contributing to society.
The other part of this jobs bill that I find disgusting is that when Obama went before the people to push the bill he surrounded himself with Teachers, Firemen and Policemen and other public employees promising them a boost and jobs from the new bill. Again, he misses the point by pandering to the public employee unions and trolling for the union votes. Instead of using a jobs bill to pay outlandish union salaries, benefits, bonuses guaranteed cost of living increases and lavish retirements and pensions for these public employee union personnel he should be using the monies for boots on the ground workers in the private sector like the nonunion construction worker, the roofers, the single mom waitresses, the secretaries and office workers, the John and Jane Doe's who work in the private sector and those nonunion service industries who cannot enjoy these guaranteed cost of living increases of 4, 5, 6 and 7 percent a year.
The money in this jobs bill should be directed to those workers that keep this country humming by working hard every day, those people who build something or invent something or start a small business on their own and contribute to the economy and who do not have guaranteed health care, fat obscene pensions and retirement plans to count on. Instead, Washington decides to provide guaranteed employment high wages, and a very comfortable retirement for Federal , State, County and City public employees through this give-a-way but ignores the real people that need the jobs.
What does a public employee contribute to the society and economy? Nothing. They don't build anything and they don't invent anything. Lip Sync Songs? Only A No Talent Does That

Hello America, and how is the world treating you?
To answer an inquiry from Kathy T., regarding musical performances. She asked why she should pay for a concert to see and listen to someone that does not actually sing.
Kathy, you pressed one of my buttons. I would say to you, you shouldn't. In today's music world there are some so-called entertainers that actually are making millions of dollars by just standing up before an audience and cannot sing a hoot.
One that comes to mind is Britney Spears. She lip syncs music and gets paid for it. I guess it was alright when she was a tween or teeny-bopper because her peers and audience crowd of young kids didn't give a care if she sang or not. To them she just looked good dancing and running about the stage, PRETENDING. She probably made millions when she was that teenager. But now, as a young woman, to me, she has nothing to offer as a music performer.
When I go out to see an entertainer, especially a singer, a songstress, I want to see them perform by using their own God given talent and their vocal expertise. Vocalists of the past and many vocalists of today show their actual vocal talent by standing before a crowd and sing the words of the songs. Lets just name a few, okay? Frank Sinatra, Andy Williams, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Patsy Cline, Celine Dion, Cher, Debbie Reynolds, Barbara McNair, Ella Fitzgerald, Pearl Bailey, etc.---
All of those people mentioned actually sang and sing the songs with their vocal talents. There are tons of other real entertainers that perform each and every day and they can and do sing using their voice to win over the audience. But, ANYONE, I say ANYONE, that "only" pretends to sing the words of a song by lip syncing and just mouthing the words is not an entertainer and why anyone would actually pay good money to see that "lip syncing" person bound about a stage to be a pretend singer is beyond me.
It's bad enough when a person with a bad voice goes into a recording studio and has the producers do their magic and mix sounds, reverb, echo and other gimmicks to make their voice sound passable. The finished recording may sound adequate but if and when that bad singer had to sing without all of the recording studio gimmicks, they can't perform - -and, that's sad.
Kathy, talent is talent. If a person "has it" people will see, hear and recognize it and pay for the privilege to see that person perform. But to pay money to see a pretend talent, No way. - And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

Kathy, you pressed one of my buttons. I would say to you, you shouldn't. In today's music world there are some so-called entertainers that actually are making millions of dollars by just standing up before an audience and cannot sing a hoot.
One that comes to mind is Britney Spears. She lip syncs music and gets paid for it. I guess it was alright when she was a tween or teeny-bopper because her peers and audience crowd of young kids didn't give a care if she sang or not. To them she just looked good dancing and running about the stage, PRETENDING. She probably made millions when she was that teenager. But now, as a young woman, to me, she has nothing to offer as a music performer.
When I go out to see an entertainer, especially a singer, a songstress, I want to see them perform by using their own God given talent and their vocal expertise. Vocalists of the past and many vocalists of today show their actual vocal talent by standing before a crowd and sing the words of the songs. Lets just name a few, okay? Frank Sinatra, Andy Williams, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Patsy Cline, Celine Dion, Cher, Debbie Reynolds, Barbara McNair, Ella Fitzgerald, Pearl Bailey, etc.---
All of those people mentioned actually sang and sing the songs with their vocal talents. There are tons of other real entertainers that perform each and every day and they can and do sing using their voice to win over the audience. But, ANYONE, I say ANYONE, that "only" pretends to sing the words of a song by lip syncing and just mouthing the words is not an entertainer and why anyone would actually pay good money to see that "lip syncing" person bound about a stage to be a pretend singer is beyond me.
It's bad enough when a person with a bad voice goes into a recording studio and has the producers do their magic and mix sounds, reverb, echo and other gimmicks to make their voice sound passable. The finished recording may sound adequate but if and when that bad singer had to sing without all of the recording studio gimmicks, they can't perform - -and, that's sad.
Kathy, talent is talent. If a person "has it" people will see, hear and recognize it and pay for the privilege to see that person perform. But to pay money to see a pretend talent, No way. - And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

Obama Speech Missed the Mark: He Wants to Pay People NOT TO WORK

On September 8, 2011, President Obama gave his alleged "jobs" speech. What is it with Obama and his talk, talk, talk, but no action. The day following his speech the Dow dropped 303.68. That says a lot folks. Our economy is in the toilet and Obama keeps flushing more and more down the drain by his" hope- hope" and things will get better speeches. I believe one of the most important glaring problems with his speech yesterday was: Extending the unemployment insurance to those people out of work, AGAIN. What a wrong way, lopsided view to pump up the economy. Obama said by extending unemployment benefits that will beef up the economy and make for more jobs. Is he kidding? It doesn't take a person smarter that a fifth-grader to know that extending unemployment benefits for those people that have been out of work for over TWO years will only provide monies for them AGAIN to sit around and collect the government dole out every month and not work.
I say that if Obama and his give-a-way colleagues in Washington are paying these people who are "capable" of working that will not add jobs to the economy. On the contrary, it will keep people from being employed. What needs to be done is for Obama to cut off these outrageous unemployment extensions and I predict that then, and only then, will Obama and his party see a jump in employment. These malingering, lazy people will have to face reality and know that when the money from the unemployment has dried up, they will have to find a job - - ANY JOB.
Right now Obama and his pals have extended unemployment benefits for people over and over again and currently these unemployed people can lay around for 99 weeks (TWO YEARS) without working at any meaningful job.
From numerous research studies it has been found that when a person is out of work for two years, they have no real incentive of returning to work as long as they are being enabled by a paycheck from unemployment funds. And, believe it or not, some of the Obama Democratic crowd want to extend the unemployment benefits to over 113 weeks. What!
What I would like to see and would suggest to Obama is that he return the unemployment benefits package to what it used to be decades ago. It was basically, the unemployed person collected unemployment for a period of 13 weeks and then they received an extension of benefits for an additional 13 weeks. Folks, that's six months of being unemployed. That's a long time to be without a job but most of those people out of work knew they had to find a job within six months or be broke. And, guess what? Most did find a job and the economy rolled along having those people back in the work force. It worked! That unemployment model should be enacted once again.
We middle class taxpayers are on on the hook for supporting the POOR, THE ILLEGAL ALIEN, FREE EDUCATION, FREE HEALTH CARE for special groups, etc., and Obama and the lawmakers keep coming back to the well to ding us again and again. It has to stop. Enough is enough.
With his speech last night and his promise to extend the unemployment benefits to the unemployed again does nothing more that create a brand new segment of society that we taxpayers will have to subsidize. We will now support millions of people NOT TO WORK and they can, with the governments blessing and our tax money to collect a pay check, sit around and live off of that paycheck year after year after year.
The cost of the last unemployment extension was$12 billion dollars so imagine what it will be this time round. Folks, our tax monies is being squandered over and over, and for what? Politics people. Elections are on the horizon and lawmakers want to be reelected. Both parties are at fault on this unemployment fiasco. They should use tough love and insist that six(6) months of unemployment benefits are sufficient for an unemployed person. If the persons unemployment benefits run out after six (6) months and they fail to find a job (which is nearly impossible to do), they can then look to relatives and friends for support. Jobs are out there in such areas as: Fast food, dish washer, food server, gas stations, sales, housecleaning, etc., --the list goes on and on. But these long term unemployed people just refuse to take them.
My thought is: A job, is a job, is a job. The unemployed should take the menial position while looking to better themselves.- And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

Governor Rick Perry For President? His Stance on Immigration Leaves a Lot to be Desired

LAS VEGAS- Hello America, and how is the world treating you?
The Republican party is offering up Texas Governor, Rick Perry as a candidate for President. How many of you voters have concerns about his views on Immigration matters? I do. He recently said he is totally against any fence at the Southern Border of the United States. That disappointed me.
However, I am not completely surprised by his actions because it has been reported in the media he has given very favorable treatment to illegal aliens over the years. Since Texas is made up of a very large illegal population he has pandered that segment of society for decades. That might be alright in Texas but to have that same attitude pushed on the rest of the nation is unwarranted.
People from every state in the union has been screaming for immigration control and they clearly want "secure" borders . Currently in some states the illegal alien population runs higher that the legal population. There are many states that are educating illegal alien children at the detriment of our children who are United States citizens.
As an example, lets just look at one demographic (the Hispanic) population. In Nevada the Hispanic population now outnumber other races attending school. And, I don't have to tell all of you reader's about the Hispanic population in California. The cost of supporting illegal aliens and their families by giving them free benefits, free education, free heath care in many states has those states on the brink of bankruptcy.
It appears the United States legal citizens are paying for the comfort and well-being of millions of illegal aliens residing illegally in the country and those illegal aliens pay no consequences. They actually know that the political climate is favorable to their wants and needs.
My thoughts and suggestions would be: Politicians - - -
1. Secure the border, totally, from East to West, with a" fence": Have specific check points to enter through the fence.
2. Federal government should mandate that the E-Verify system be used by each and every employer in the nation so as to verify the citizenship status of the applicants and employees. NO GRANDFATHER clauses. Check past and present employees for legality. The E-Verify system will also stop these cheap, unethical employers from hiring illegal aliens just to save a buck.
3. Immediately stop free education, welfare benefits and health care to the illegal alien.
4. Stop the practice of allowing an illegal alien woman to have a baby on U.S. soil and grant that baby U.S. citizenship. When the illegal has the baby, the parents immediately play the system to stay in the United States and garner numerous freebies at the taxpayers expense. The baby should be a citizen of the parents origin country, NOT THE U.S. As a side note, the Southern border states hospitals are flooded with pregnant illegal alien women crossing in the U.S. for the sole purpose of having the baby on U.S. soil. In fact, many border hospitals have filed bankruptcy or have closed completely because of the illegal alien baby scam. That's wrong!
So, should we elect someone like Governor Rick Perry to be President? Do we need a President that panders to illegal aliens and advocates an illegal alien invasion on the United States? -And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

Rep. Shelly Berkley-Only Looking Out For Herself, Her Family and Friends

Rep. Shelley Berkley, (NV) appears to have many problems. It looks like she has a conflict of interest when it come to her supporting legislation that does indeed benefit her husband, Dr. Larry Lehrner. The Times published a very informative report. The piece entitled: "A Congresswoman's Cause Is Often Her Husbands Gain." lays out the clear possibility of her using her juice in Washington and assisting her husbands lucrative kidney care medical practice here in Las Vegas. I would think that this reporting by the Times gives her opponent Rep. Dean Heller a leg up on the U. S. Senate seat.
The New York Times showed Berkley's work relating to Nevada's kidney care specialists. Her husband is what else - - a nephrologist, who received a contract at UMC (University Medical Center) in amount of $738,000.00. And, guess what? From all reports, his was the only bid submitted and accepted. Fix in? Who knows?
It should be mention also that Berkley back in 1996 wrote some memos to her old employer, Las Vegas SANDS boss Sheldon Adelson to do some political favors for two Clark County Commissioners. She also told her old boss to contribute to judicial candidates so that future favorable treatment could be realized.
With conduct like this in Berkley's background it makes one ponder how she can represent the people of Nevada honorably and sufficiently when she is so concerned about doing favors for her husband and her financial well-being and having friends and employers doling out favors for her friends holding public office and even pressuring them to contribute to the judiciary so as to ensure future favors from those judges, etc.,---
Folks, I submit that her actions is not government working for the people of the state of Nevada. Instead it looks like government working for the needs of Berkley, her husband and his very lucrative medical practice (which clearly would be of benefit to her well-being) and for benefits to her friends and colleagues that hold public office. Maybe twelve years in office is enough for people like Berkley. She looks like a poster child for term limits on lawmakers. I personally would not vote for a lawmaker that conducts themselves in a manner that uses the position of their office to benefit themselves and friends. No wonder our country is in the shape it is in. Many lawmakers only tend to look out for themselves and their families and friends.- And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

Michele Bachmann for President? Lets look at some situations. - -
Here's a woman that clearly stated that she is prone to severe migraine headaches. I would think that anyone that suffers from severe migraine headaches would be hampered when attempting to make important decisions. The pain of migraines is no joke. They can be quite debilitating. Anyone of you that has experienced a severe migraine may have seen the flashes of light, the explosion effect before the eyes, not discounting the excruciating pain. I would wonder how anyone could really concentrate and keep their mind focused on any specific important matter while the migraine is in effect.
I would also question why many of Michele Bachmann's staff members continually abandon ship. It has been reported in the media that Bachmann is difficult to get along with. That could account for the high-level turnover she has experienced in the past. There were frequent changes in her staff at her congressional office since 2007. There were six(6) chiefs of staff in four years and there were five(5) press secretaries, there were five(5) legislative directors and there were three (3) communications directors.
Some previous staffers have complained about Bachmann's style. From those reports it appears she tries to micro-manage every aspect of every situation. It has been reported that anyone questioning her decisions brings about suspicion on her part and those people that disagree with her are then labeled disloyal. She is said to insist on being involved in the very smallest details.

I say congress should break its agreement with labor unions and lay off 120,000 postal workers. Why? Here are some good reasons why. Currently the postal union "prohibits the Postal Service from laying off or reassigning workers if equipment is broke down. Postal union workers report to work and are told to go to a break room or cafeteria, have coffee or read and eat food but "do not" do any chores. They just sit there and get paid for zilch. Imagine any employer in the private sector allowing such conduct or having their customers paying for it. It won't happen.
The Postal Service also owes about $1.3 billion dollars to a worker's compensation fund to provide for their postal workers. Beside that the Postal Service owes approximately $5.4 billion dollars to a fund to provide for current and future retirees.
Folks, the Postal Service squandered billions and billions of dollars on these postal worker union employees to enjoy elaborate pensions, bonuses, freebies and free or near free health care. Why do you think that the price of stamps have continually gone up over the years? One of the major reasons was to provide the union benefits for the hundreds of thousands of postal employees.
These postal workers unions , like the teachers unions,(New York Teachers) build these ridiculous, unwarranted clauses in their contracts so they "cannot" be laid off or fired . They write in guarantees of continued employment and continued salaries even though they do no work whatsoever.
Who the devil are these incompetent, lazy, union vote pandering lawmakers that let the Postal unions and Teachers unions dictate their demands that are so obscene that any private employer would tell the employee to hit the street.
People, us taxpayers are paying for employees not to work, we are paying for the employees life time health care, and their families health care when the average middle class worker cannot even afford to buy their own health care. If they do, it is very expensive. We are paying for lucrative pensions and retirements to support these greedy union employees while Mr. & Mrs. middle America worker doesn't have any type of pension or retirement at all. If some middle class workers are lucky enough to actually receive a pension it is only a 401(k) retirement plan.
It's time to stop these unions from buying off the politicians. They promise the lawmakers massive, bloc votes in exchange for the guaranteed free health care, guaranteed promises of not being laid off or fired and fat, enormous pensions, bonuses and retirement plans.
Again, I say:

3. Instead of a separate pension, retirement plan for these union people make any federal employee pay into the Social Security program like every other private sector employee in the nation.

I predict that if Congress would follow my suggestion(s) they would find that there would be tens of thousands of people standing in line for those jobs and would be willing to work without "GUARANTEES" like the ones postal workers currently enjoy.
Further, if John or Jane Doe who may be working as a food server, convenience store worker, roofer, plumber etc., is required to depend on a Social Security check and a 401(k) when they stop working, the same should apply to these union workers. No more, no less.
No one group should be entitled and have guarantees that other employees do not have. Any person in the public sector should be able to be fired or laid off just like people in the private sector. Period! And, that's my opinion . Make your own decisions. You decide.

Broken Promises By Our Commander-In-Chief, Obama

LAS VEGAS- Hello America, and how is the world treating you?
The United States economy is in a free fall. The computerized stock market swings of a few hundred points from day to day is no help. Where is the stock market of old? Wall Street is playing with these computers like a daily trader in a video game. The big corporations make out and the middle class person continues to lose ten, twenty and up to 26 percent of their pension, retirement 401(k) value in one day.
BUT, what does Obama say: "The stock market rises and falls." That's it? Hey! He has his financial program secure so,-- to hell with the middle class wage earner who's hanging on by their fingertips. Money talks and his B.S. walks. His constant mantra of "Hope" just don't cut it. Obama, everybody has hope. People HOPE they will get a job; if they are employed, they HOPE they will get a small raise; if they are underwater in their mortgage they HOPE that they can find a way to keep their home. Hope is just just a a word but ACTIONS speak much louder than words and there has been no action by either Obama, our lawmakers or Congress.
Folks, words and HOPE speeches just don't cut it. Actions are the watchword and Obama and Congress has clearly failed in taking any actions to turn our American economy around.
Democrats don't comprise and Republicans do not compromise. They take a stance for their self-serving political gain and reelections and forgot about serving the people of this nation by doing the people's business.
Christ, Obama comes up with a new excuse everyday as to why he is not to blame for this countries serious problems . I mean, look: One day Obama says our woes are because of the Republicans refusal to compromise; another day he says it is the Tea Parties fault we are in this mess; then, he says he inherited all of these problems ; another day goes by and he says it is George Bush who did this to our country; then again, another day he blames our suffering on Europe. People, it's everybody else's fault except his. He looks to blame everyone and everything on everyone else and fails to take any responsibility for his lack of leadership, his lack of determination and his lack of strength. Talk about a waffle - - he has waffled so much on policy, promises and leadership that his first name could be "Eggo".
Here's a man that has never run a business, held a 9-to-5 job, has never served in the military, he has had no political experience other than running around the streets of Chicago as some sort of street organizer. His experience is Zilch, Zero. His voting record in Illinois is plain vanilla and bland. Most of his votes were "present" and nothing significant or substantial. Obama was a person that failed to take a stand on any issues. Instead he would rather not vote one way or the other.
This guy looks like he has never taken a strong stand or position on any relevant issue when voting. I think what we have in Obama as as President is a person that would rather be a teacher or professor at some university and make speeches to motivate his students so that they could pass his class.
As President, Obama has failed miserably - - Oh, by the way, I did vote for Obama. But, never, never again. After watching him try to lead this country and seeing how he broke his promises over and over again to all of us Americans and after seeing how he (a person with no military experience whatsoever, of any kind) became a war-monger by squandering billions of dollars of our hard earned tax money in promoting and extending at least three wars around the world. I lost confidence in this man. Yes, I said three (3) wars. The administration wants to acknowledge two wars but here's my three: ONE- Iraq (cost- billions of US dollars); TWO- Afghanistan(cost- billions of US dollars) and THREE- Pakistan (cost-billions of US dollars). People we are fighting a covert war in Pakistan that is hidden from public view here in the USA. The government wants to handle this war on the down low. They continually send drone attacks inside the Pakistan borders and they have covert ops inside the country of Pakistan and have a mission to continue military operations inside that country. So, yes! THREE wars.
I would submit that if Obama was a man of his word and brought the troops home from Iraq and Afghanistan as well as those operating in Pakistan, just the saving of all those military costs could pay out national debt down by leaps and bounds. Just that one task of troops home would excite and revitalize and improve our economy. Further, I would submit that if only that one action was taken there would be jobs everywhere because our manufacturing and industrial and technological engine would be revived using the returning military in those jobs rebuilding this country. With all of the money saved by bringing the military home, we here in America could rebuilt roads, schools, electric grids, feed the starving kids, feed out homeless and begin to put this country back on the track it enjoyed following the end of World War II.
So, bottom line - -if Obama would get a backbone and take a stand and end these three unnecessary wars, redistribute all of those billions of military dollars that was give-a-ways to other countries so we could buy their favor we clearly could turn this nations economy around very quickly. - And, that's my opinion. Obama & Congress Is Squandering Billions of Our Tax Dollars

The tax monies we Americans are paying to our government each year is being squandered on a daily basis. Obama is giving away billions of our tax dollars like there was no tomorrow. We are currently spending over a billion dollars a day on the wars Obama promised to get out of even before he was elected. Our government is giving billions of dollars in "foreign aid" to countries all around the globe and now a few days ago Obama approved another 105 million dollar to Somalia.
I say what about our starving kids here in the good ol' USA? One in four kids in this country is starving. What about the millions of people that are currently unemployed? What about all of those people that lost their jobs and their homes and are standing in food bank lines just to survive? Why doesn't Obama and his White House extend all of that charity for our Americans here at home? Remember the old saying: Charity begins at home?
Folks I say that we Americans here at home and all of our unemployed Americans and starving people here in America could use that $105 million dollars. Obama and Congress has ignored the needs of the American people but still continue to print money America does not have to support other nations. THAT IS WRONG!

Congress Should Allow the Post Office to Fire Federal Employees & Readjust the Retirement/Pension Ripoff.

LAS VEGAS- Hello America, and how is the world treating you?
The U.S. P.S. ( post office) is considering laying off at least 120,000 employees and restructuring the Post Office Retirement plan. Boy! It's about time. They should have did this years ago. The sad part of this situation is that Congress has to approve the move by the Post Office and I suspect that Congress will drag their feet and pander to the unions rather that do the countries business and do the right thing by revamping the bloated postal retirement and pension system.
Folks, for decades now the Post Office has been raising postal rates by leaps and bounds and the only reason for the continued increases was because of the very lucrative and elaborate pension and retirement plan given to these Federal postal employees. The Post Office and the federal employees have their own retirement program called the Federal Benefits Retirement Plan and believe me when I say that their benefits, retirement and pension packages are to die for.
In addition to the obscene retirement and benefit packages that these Federal employees enjoy they have entered into unionized type contracts which allow them to receive benefits even when they have committed a crime. It's literally impossible to fire one of these postal workers.
Compared to the average Joe or Jane Doe who works the 9-to 5 in the private sector these Federal employees are treated like entitled VIP's.
PRIVATE SECTOR EMPLOYEE:
Those working in the in the private sector go to a job for a specified, quoted salary per year. There is no guaranteed cost of living each year of 4, 5, 6, 7 and sometime 8% a year, there is no guaranteed bonuses or merit pay, there is no guaranteed automatic step increases, there is no free health care plan. If the private sector employee is lucky enough to receive health coverage they have to pay a large portion of the cost of any health plan. Private sector workers have no guaranteed pension plan. The private sector person has to depend on a 401(k) if they are lucky enough to have some sort of retirement plan. Also, the private sector person has to contribute and pay into the Social Security retirement system. That is the law.
FEDERAL EMPLOYEES (Post Office Employees & Others):
These federal employees that do not produce a product, build anything, manufacture anything only receives monies from the 9-5 hard working private sector employee just because they are a federal and/or public sector union employee. They have not been paying into the Security Security system (until recently) that the middle class worker has had to pay into since their first employment. Further if any of these Federal employees committed a crime they can continue to be employed and collect salary and pensions. That cannot be done by a private sector worker. In fact, that private sector worker would be in prison.

I say it's about time that fired postal employees get to see the reality of the private sector work force in this country by joining the ranks of the unemployed. I would think that once they see how they have to actually go out, seek a job and work for a living they will have an appreciation for those that paid their salaries for years.
I believe that Federal, State, County and City public employees should never have been allowed to unionize. The benefits that we private sector people have to pay to these non-contributing people are breaking the back of every state in the union.
I would propose that all Federal, State, County and Cities across the country immediately readjust and rewrite all unionized contracts with these public employees which could include but not limited to such things as:
They will not guarantee that public employees cannot be laid off .
Do away with any and all guaranteed cost of living increase every year.
Do away with any and all merit and bonus pay.
No guaranteed free health care (make the public employee pay for a portion of their health care equal to private sector workers.
There will be no guaranteed pensions or retirement contributions ( have all of these public sector employees put into a 401(k) plan) like all private sector employees.
Have all public sector employees pay into the Social Security system (like all private sector employees).
I predict that if the federal and public sector employees had to adhere to the same salary, health care, retirement and pension benefits that we in the private sector have to depend on, this country would save billions of dollars a year and equality and equity between the private and public sector would make this nation much stronger. The continued obscene demands by these Federal employees over the decades (like postal workers) for more money, more cost of living, more bonuses and merit pay, more benefits and large pension/retirement increases has really brought the country to it's knees.
I say it's about time that fired postal employees get to see the reality of the private sector work force in this country by joining the ranks of the unemployed. I would think that once they see how they have to actually go out, seek a job and work for a living they will have an appreciation for those that paid their salaries for years.
I believe that Federal, State, County and City public employees should never have been allowed to unionize. The benefits that we private sector people have to pay to these non-contributing people are breaking the back of every state in the union.
I would propose that all Federal, State, County and Cities across the country immediately readjust and rewrite all unionized contracts with these public employees which could include but not limited to such things as:
They will not guarantee that public employees cannot be laid off .
Do away with any and all guaranteed cost of living increase every year.
Do away with any and all merit and bonus pay.
No guaranteed free health care (make the public employee pay for a portion of their health care equal to private sector workers.
There will be no guaranteed pensions or retirement contributions ( have all of these public sector employees put into a 401(k) plan) like all private sector employees.
Have all public sector employees pay into the Social Security system (like all private sector employees).
I predict that if the federal and public sector employees had to adhere to the same salary, health care, retirement and pension benefits that we in the private sector have to depend on, this country would save billions of dollars a year and equality and equity between the private and public sector would make this nation much stronger. And, - that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

Our Lawmaker's Caused This Stock Crash & Bad Economy

LAS VEGAS- Hello America, and how is the world treating you?
Our lawmakers are the ones causing the meltdown in the USA. Yesterday the stock market fell over 600 points. In fact, the market has been declining for weeks. Why? Both the Republicans and and Democrats who are adamant about no compromise on issues has brought us to this dire situation. My feeling is that the people of the United States should get rid of all of these old, tired, worn our politicians that are holding office. I don't care what party they pretend to represent. The watch word should be: Throw all of these political bums out and put in an entire new slate of representatives.
These negligent, incompetent politicians promise the people the moon at election time but they quickly fall into the routine of spouting the party line once elected and ignore the business of the people and the nation .
It should also be noted that the lawmakers that were swept into office via the tea party banner contributed to the sad state of the economy, the reputation of the U.S.A. around the world and the severe drop in the stock market. These tea party idiots went to Washington and refused to compromise one inch. As these lawmakers were playing chicken with each other the world economy around the world became very fragile and like a set of domino's Greece, Italy, Spain and other nations began to fall into a deeper funk.
I would say that our politicians in Washing have to get out in front of these problems facing the nation. In fact, they should have got ahead of the problems facing Wall Street instead of waiting until something bad happens and then react. These Washington idiots are always behind the curve.
Politician's silly, stupid remarks: Obama gets on television on August 8, 2011 after the gross plunge on Wall Street and says: "markets will go up and down". Really? We all know that. The question is, why did the markets go up and down? I say if Washington was doing it's job and did in fact "work together" and increase the debt limit months ago, this devastating stock market plunge would not have occurred.
These arrogant Washington lawmakers and the President clearly have been in contact with other nations around the world for months and were well aware of the shaky ground the economy was teetering on. It was no secret that these other nations were waiting for leadership from Washington and assurances that the debt limit could be raised well ahead of the 11th. hour. But, what happened? Obama and the Democrats and Republican's ignored all relevant signs that their actions were hurting the world economy and continued to act like a child daring the other to knock a chip off of their shoulder. The result, - - world chaos, especially in the USA. Over a period of a few days people and the middle class workers in this country that held pensions and 401(k) retirement plans lost BILLIONS of dollars. Many lost twenty-six (26) percent of their investment and yet, Obama and these rich fact cats can only say "the market will go up and down."
People, these lawmakers continue to collect their fat salaries and cost of living increases and their fat pensions and benefits. They fight to hold on to their position and job like a pit bull. They continue to take large amounts of monies from lobbyists, corporations and private sources to build up their own self worth to the determent of the middle class worker in this country. That is WRONG! But, we let them get away with it because the American people are afraid to speak up and oust these entrenched Republicans and Democrats from office. It's always, it's not my Senator, it's not my political party. But people, I say: It is your Senator and it is your party.
I predict that if the voting person, whether they are Republican or Democrat would stand up and get a voice and tell these lackluster politicians currently holding office that their gravy train is over and vote a third party or a new unknown person that promises to work for the good of the country rather that a particular party the nation would be better off. I say, get a backbone voters and get rid of these incumbents currently in office.
There was a time a few decades ago when the politician did what was good for the country and the United States thrived and we were the envy of the world. Now, the USA is becoming a laughing stock., Other countries are out pacing us more and more each and every day.
Centuries ago China was the wonder of the world, about a hundred years ago, the United Kingdom ruled and was the elite, and about 50 years ago the United States was the envy of the world. We were building most everything imaginable and providing jobs and opportunity for every person in the country and the politicians then allowed the needs of the country to come first. But today because of the lawmakers self interest for financial and personal gain the United States is lagging behind other countries .
For example, Brazil has a building boom, it produces and exports some of the best beef in the world. It's gasoline problem has been solved for decades because of their use of alternative fuel. China, they are also on a building boom, they utilize high speed trains and are using education and technology to surpass our education and technology. People, other nations are now doing much better that the United States and enjoy economies much more stable than ours.
Ii is not the American workers fault. It is the fault of our lawmakers. They have been dumbed down over the years and chose to accept the attitude that they themselves come first instead of country first.
Right now, the United States borrows 40 cents of every dollar we spend . What's wrong with that picture folks? We owe China tens of trillions of dollars. It should not have come to this. If the government does not have the money to buy or pay for what it needs, then it should not buy the item or service. Any prudent or reasonable person knows that they cannot continue to borrow money to pay their bills. No one can spend more that what they are taking in.
Wake up voters, hold these idiot lawmakers accountable. Get rid of the greedy incumbents and lets try new people or a new party and if they don't do the job, dump them also. After a few elections of the lawmaker's getting ousted I'm sure there will be people that want to serve the country instead of themselves. - And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.
