Some good news for the elderly. For those that may be experiencing mental decline that may accompany old age,Stanford University School of Medicine researchers found that a protein in umbilical cord blood derived from human newborns clearly increased brain function and cognitive performance in elderly mice.

With this study I would predict that someday, (who knows how long), will bring about a new treatment and medications to combat an individual's mental deterioration. Let's hope  researchers make prompt progress utilizing  this protein from the umbilical cord.-- And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.
