THE KUHNS REPORT

HOSTESS - ANOTHER UNION FIASCO: THEY OUT LIVED THEIR USEFULNESS

LAS VEGAS- Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

It's a shame that Hostess had to go bankrupt. After over 80 years these crummy unions brought the company down. Over the decades Hostess provided families with a good job, food on their table, put clothes on their kids back and money for the T.V.'s, furniture, cars, movies and eating out and all the rest of the niceties of life. The fathers, mothers and their children worked at the Hostess plants, generation after generation. But the greedy workers and their lousy union brought an end to Hostess.

I saw on television where some employees were griping about the loss of their job at Hostess. One lady was 60 years old and saying- "What am I going to do now?" "I'm too old to look for a new job." "I've been here 30 years." To that I say, "lady, you cut off your own nose to spite your face."  What did the union people expect? Have Hostess pony up monies they didn't have?

I hope that many of these ex- Hostess employees are out of work for two or three years. Maybe an extended period of being unemployed will be a wake-up call for their greed. I mean, they had a good job, earning money, being provided for by Hostess and their union grinds and grinds Hostess into the ground with their impossible demands. Folks, a job in the hand is better than nothing, especially in these economic times.

And believe it or not the unions now are trying to force Wal-Mart to go union. People that were not Wal-Mart employees were bussed in across states to picket in front of Wal-Mart stores over the Black Friday days.

The Wal-Mart employees know, going in and filling out an application what their salary and benefits are going to be even before they start their first day on the job.So the employee knows what they are getting into before accepting the position. Everybody knows that Wal-Mart is a non-union employer. It is no secret.

I submit that if the person is unhappy about the conditions or terms of employment about working at Wal-Mart they should not apply. If the employee is unhappy working at Wal-Mart  hey! Quit. Go look for a job someplace else. It's like watching T.V., if you don't like the show your watching, "change the channel dimmies." Likewise, if you don't like your job, change it.

Wal-Mart, like Hostess, has been a good business partner in both large and small communities across the country. However the  union fat cats, who only look out for their own good (the hell with employees) continually form mobs around the country  in an attempt to extort Wal-Mart to unionize. Are you happy union? Thousands of people are now out of a job at Hostess.and now you're trying to put tens of thousands of hard working people at Wal-Mart into the street.

My suggestion to Wal-Mart - -Never go union. Your business model is providing security, a paycheck and a good living for millions of people and that is why Wal-Mart is the largest retailer in the world. Further, if these greedy bottom-feeder unions continue to cause problems do exactly what Hostess did, close the doors. close up. Better yes, send the jobs overseas. Another suggestion, Shut down here in the good ol' USA  and open them up in Canada. I am sure the Canadians would appreciate the jobs. Then if people in the U.S. want to buy from Wal-Mart they can do it on the Internet.

Lets see how the unions and the country react when millions of employees are out in the street looking for a job to feed their families. -  And, that's my opinion. You decide. Make your own decision.
