Linsay Lohan's Jail Time Is A Joke: Celebrities Skate

THE DOCTOR IS IN
________________

LAS VEGAS- Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

It never rains but it pours. I had an inquiry about my opinion on Paris Hilton and now I have another but this time on Linsay Lohan. So, here goes.

Just today, the Sheriff advised the media that Linsay Lohan would be released in only 14 days. Can you believe that? It's a replay of the Paris Hilton incarceration. The women are sentenced by the courts but these lawbreakers actual jail time is always reduced to a couple or few weeks. What a miscarriage of justice. The sheriff plays to the cameras and the chance to nuzzle up to the rich and famous. It appears law enforcement (especially the Sheriff) personnel love to pander to show business and rich people.

When the judges give average Joe or Jane Doe 60 days in jail most of that time is served but when it come to the so called elite the Sheriff always says that there is "jail overcrowding" so the Hilton's and Lohan's are always released early. Special treatment? You bet!

I say that if the judge knows that when they sentence a supposedly famous person or show business personality to a 60 day jail sentence and that person will only be serving 14 days that judge should increase the jail time to six months. If these Hilton's and Lohan's get a six month sentence and the Sheriff continues his pandering to them they will then serve probably their full 60 days.

I submit that the judges should increase the sentence of the rich and famous so that they can actually do some real jail time instead of a two or three week sentences.

Lohan flaunted her celebrity in the face of the judicial system over and over again and used excuse after excuse to evade the consequences thinking that she would snooker the courts and get away with her illegal activity.

The sad part is that many of the judges that render the sentence of jail time play into this celebrity. These judges know that the Sheriff will reduce the jail time by less than one half of what the person should serve and still they hand out small jail time sentences.

These slap on the wrist jail time sentences are a joke and the judge and the Sheriff know it. These light sentences will do nothing to deter these celebrities from going on to commit future illegal and/or criminal activity. I submit that 14 days in jail and housed in a separate private cell away from other alleged criminals just allows these party kids to have time away alone while staying in contact with their handlers and family.

Lohan has had problems with law enforcement on a number of occasions but it appears she continues to repeat her bad behavior and when it comes time for her to pay for her illegal activity the result is: WOW! 14 days.

Yes Linsay, there is a Santa Claus. He is the Sheriff of Los Angeles County and his elves are the judges and their assistants working in the criminal justice system whose job it is to pander to the rich and famous for reasons only known to them.

The poor and middle class really know that there is two types of justice in this country. The rich and famous most always skate with a few days in jail while the poor and middle class do their time.

"Justice is blind"? No way. Many judges and the Sheriff of Los Angeles County have their eyes wide open when they give a pass and slap on the wrist jail time to these so called celebrities. Shame on them. - And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.
