GAS PRICES ARE UP AGAIN- JUST AS THE ADMINISTRATION WANTS IT

THE KUHNS REPORT

LAS VEGAS- Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

Gas prices continue to rise. This week, here in Nevada the average price was approximately $3.85 at the pump. In California some places registered $5.00 a gallon.

For those people that are wondering if I think gas prices are manipulated - - "yes", I do. I have said that for years and wrote numerous op-ed's relating to that fact. I also first contacted Nevada's lawmakers way back in  1995, complaining about possible manipulation of gas prices, The standard reply from  the Washington crowd was: Mr. Kuhns, no on is manipulating gas prices. Folks, if you believe their response I have a bridge in Brooklyn I would  like to sell you.

After calling oil CEO's  up before Congress on two or three separate occasions and inquiring as to why gas prices increase by leaps and bounds one day and then all of a sudden fall another day left the public with the impression that in fact, the oil prices are being manipulated. The congressional hearings set up on television were nothing but a dog and pony show pretending that congress is concerned but in reality all congress people care about is getting their mug before cameras. Nothing is ever done to reign in the oil companies greed.

The day before Obama took office, the average price of gas was  $1.838. Less than two bucks a gallon. That was on January 19, 2009. That figure just mentioned came from the Energy Information Agency. Since then, gasoline prices have soared ninety-six (96%) percent.

Have you noticed that before any national election gas prices generally fall way down. Low prices at the gas pump! Wow! The masses look at the low price at the pump and  tell their friends that things are okay. That is exactly what the candidates want you to see. Then they pounce on the fact that gas prices are low and it's all because of them. But after the election gas prices at the pump begin to increase once again . And the politicians tell us they have no control over gasoline prices - -BULL!

During George W. Bush's second term he was overhead on an open microphone talking with the Saudi monarch. The king told Bush that he would have OPEC lower all gasoline prices right before the election in order to help Bush get reelected and following the election the prices would raise again. Is that manipulation? I think so.

The gasoline manipulation prior to any election has occurred both on the Democrats and Republicans watch. The lawmakers know that gasoline prices are a hot button issue with the people in the United States and they play the gasoline card to their benefit while pandering to the oil industry and the countries controlling the oil flow to assist them in their election bid.

I believe that there is a small group of  people in world power positions and others that head up some of the most recognized organizations in the world who dictate the price of gasoline at any given moment. If they want to raise  the prices with flourish, start a war; instigate unrest in certain parts of the world; create a wall street incident; tighten the flow of money around the world. Then again, if they want to use domestic means to raise gasoline prices at the pump they convince  the people that the refineries need to shut down to rework their lines and make repairs. Isn't it amazing that most all of the refineries in the nation shut down at one time to retool or blend  fuel?  Talk about a scam. This is one big scam. There is no end to the number of things that this secretive, self-entitled clique of manipulators can do.

Folks, I submit that the oil industry and it's millions of dollars being paid out to lawmakers perpetuate this scam of high gasoline prices. The government could do a lot to reduce the price of gasoline here in the U.S., but they refuse to take action because they continue to have an ongoing  "Lewinsky" type relationship with the oil  baron's. The politicians and lawmakers have never ever taken any substantial action against the oil industry nor do they hold them accountable for the increases in such things as transportation costs that have to be added on to everything we buy - - - - food for one. They bluster and promise to take action but what is the result?  Nothing. They tell the oil titans to "try" to do a better job.

We here in the United States shouldn't be paying more than $2.00 a gallon for gasoline. According to experts we have recent discoveries of domestic shale oil and gas reserves to last for the next 100 years. We also have solar farms and windmills which are subsidized by our tax money not to mention the  largest natural gas reserves in the world right here in the good ol' USA?  With all of the above mentioned resources we should have oil  gushing into the gas pumps. So, manipulation? You bet.

There should be an outcry and peaceful marches in the streets from all of us citizens demanding that  these idiots in Washington actually confront the oil industry and insist on fair and reasonable prices at the pump. Enough is enough. When only one oil company can make $53 BILLION dollars PROFIT in only one quarter that's GREED. There my friends is the biggest part of the problem.- -. And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

THE POST OFFICE & PUBLIC EMPLOYEE'S ARE RUINING THE COUNTRY

THE KUHNS REPORT

LAS VEGAS- Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

The United States Postal Service is planning on halting Saturday mail delivery. They say they have to cease delivery because they do not have the money. The USPS maintains that they are billions in the red.

I say they would have the money if the USPS would immediately STOP all of the lucrative pensions and benefits that they owe their federal employees. For decades the postal service had been giving  their postal employees whatever their union wanted. The postal employee receives a more than generous salary, day to day working benefits, over the top health and medical and a very lucrative pension and retirement plan. The USPS, the largest employer in the nation has been coddling their employee union ever since they broke away from the government agency it once was.

The USPS should immediately lay off thousands of postal employees through attrition, firing bad employees and put all employees into the same retirement programs that people in the private sector has to depend on.

These postal employees should have to belong to the social security system and look forward to a 401(k) retirement plan as the rest of us. The post office is bleeding red ink because they owe their employees and their retired administrators billions in retirement/pension benefits.

Folks, federal employees from the White House on down including  the state, county and municipal public employees clearly feel they are an entitled group and deserve more that John and Jane Doe who works their butt off in the private sector. These public employees exempt themselves from the same rules and regulations than the little guy, you and me, have to follow. They and their unions set up their own wage and benefits, retirement, pensions and health plans that no one in the private sector can ever hope to see and enjoy.

Us little guys are paying for these fed fat cats and public employees  large lucrative  salary and benefits which often includes the employees entire family. How would you like someone else to pay your  families health care for the rest of  your life? That's just one of the things happening.

I submit that if all federal employees, (including our Washington lawmakers ), state, county and city employees were  put into the social security system and a 401(k) retirement plan like the rest of us you would  see how fast the social security system would be solvent. Why? Because they would be depending on the same benefits as the rest of us in the country.

We lowly taxpayers, like all the Dick and Jane's across the country should not have to pay these billions of dollars in owed  retirements  and pensions to the postal employees.

People, the USPS squandered our tax monies for all of these decades while living high off the hog. And, they continue their bad behavior while still owing billions.I predict that if all of the federal, state, county and city employees salaries, benefits and retirement/pensions packages are not reigned  in this country will collapse. financially and economically.

So, I suggest that as step one: We the people have Congress put any and all employees who hold any type of job in the country pay into the Social Security system and  participate in a 401(k) retirement plan. - And,  that's  my opinion. You decide. Make your own decisions.

THE BOY SCOUTS of AMERICA SHOULD NOT BUCKLE UNDER

THE KUHNS REPORT

LAS VEGAS- Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

I agree with may others in the nation. The Boy Scouts of America should not open their membership to gays. Since its inception the BSA held those high standards and now is not the time to throw their beliefs and values into the trash can.

I fear that if the BSA does indeed allow homosexuals into their ranks openly a homosexual lifestyle within the organization will secure a strong foot hold.

How soon people forget. It wasn't too long in the distant past that it was found that many young men was assaulted by scout leaders over and over again all over the country. In fact, the BSA maintained a list of  BSA leaders and employees that did  have sexual relations with the young men. Many of those scout leaders were allow to leave the organization without any penalties whatsoever and the secret of homosexuality in the organization was covered up for years..Parents were clearly upset and screaming bloody murder asking how the BSA could allow their child to be  assaulted. So why allow homosexuals to openly operate within the BSA ranks.

I submit that if the BSA opens up the membership to homosexuals there will be  many more assaults on  the young boys due to the fact that open interaction with homosexuality is condoned. An attitude of "being homosexual and performing homosexual acts  is okay."

The  admission of homosexuals into the BSA could pressure young boys to "go along", or "it's okay to do." Bigger boys could take advantage of the younger members with fear, threats and retaliation.

I would say that if the gay community wants to have an organization like the boy scouts - - start their own organization. There is nothing stopping them. They need not infiltrate the BSA who has  been advocating that homosexuality is wrong - that's their right.

It's sad when the gay community tries to push their agenda and beliefs on others and insert themselves within  groups that have opposing views. My suggestion to the  homosexuals that want to partake in scouting is to organize and form their own organization, set their own policies and rules and get on with their life. Let's see how  large the organization becomes.- And, that's opinion. You decide. Make your own decisions.

PEOPLE WHO SMOKE, PENALIZED IN OBAMACARE -
OUR GOVT. @ WORK

THE KUHNS REPORT

LAS VEGAS

Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

The new Obamacare health plan ha a lot of hidden agendas  in it's construct for special interest groups. One group, the insurance industry. For example, the insurance companies can charge people who smoke up to fifty (50%) percent more in premiums for their health care than for those that do not smoke. That's not fair. It will cost the person thousands more a year than a nonsmoker. That is a big penalty on a lot of low income and senior citizens. The plan suggests that elderly people who have been smoking for more that twenty years should be hit with the outrageous premiums.

Talk about discrimination? This health plan is a poster child for  that. I submit everyone should be treated the same.  Premiums should be based on two things, that being, the person themselves and their age, nothing more. What the person does with their life is their business and when they fall ill they should be allowed to be treated without the insurance companies looking into their social life. If a person smokes, so what? If he or she is sick treat them.

This  raunchy health plan is nothing more  than a vehicle for the government to intrude into a person life, restrict a persons access to  heath care by using  idiotic qualifiers. Who benefits? The government and the insurance companies. Who bought who off, people? It looks as though the insurance lobby threw billions of dollars into Obama's and his friends pocket books for favored treatment.

I suggest, if Obamacare is going to  tell people who smoke that they have to pay fifty percent higher premiums for insurance why not tell people who drink alcohol, or those that are obese that they will also have to pay much higher premiums  than those that do not drink alcohol or gorge themselves on food. Obamacare tries to rationalize the smokers penalty as a health problem. Well Obama, what the devil do you call obesity and alcoholics? They are also a health problem.

Where will the insurance companies stop? They will say most everything s a health  problem so they can squeeze out high premiums from us citizens.and the administration plays along with these dummies.

Next thing will be if a person drinks coke, Pepsi or coffee and who eats, pies, cake, burgers, etc. the government and insurance companies will say they are not looking out for their health and that gives the insurance company the right to jack up  the persons premium.

And you know the lawmakers will never, ever put a high premium of those that drink alcohol - -why? because most are booze hounds themselves.

Who's to say who is going to get sick in the future, but to stack the deck by excluding people by how they live their lives is nuts.

I submit that whether  a person is a smoker, boozer, obese person, etc., they deserve the same health policy and treatment as anyone that does not partake in such vices. Wow! Big brother people. The government wants to take care of you from cradle to grave and tell you what you can and cannot do. Freedom of choice will be a thing of the past. And, that's my opinion, Make your own decision. You decide.

Hillary Clinton's Testimony  Before the Senate Committee Was a Joke

THE KUHNS REPORT

LAS VEGAS

Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

The Benghazi fiasco was addressed by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee  regarding the U.S. mission there.

All she did with her testimony was try to  confuse and distract the committee by arguing in an angry confrontational  tone that she  "knew nothing" on her part about seeing any requests regarding security issues in Libya made by Stevens and others.

This dog and pony show was only to  support the  Obama administrations position on this matter. Clinton really didn't address and sufficiently answer questions that required specific answers. Only a couple of the committee members took issue with her responses. The rest laid back and  let her bob and weave in a vague convoluted manner.

I suggest that all she did in this committee hearing was begin to lay a groundwork for her run at the presidency in 2016.

After the administration and people from her department made numerous excuses for the attack all she could say was: : What difference, at this point, does it make?" "It is our job to figure out what happened and do everything we  can to prevent it from ever happening again." What difference does it make? I say, it makes a big difference. If the requests by Stevens were met, he and others would still be alive today.

I suspect that many emails, memos, and communications were indeed sent in relation to  requests for security and seen by the State Department higher-ups, which may have included Clinton. However it is so easy to distance yourself from the incident by making blanket statements like, ". I never saw anything." " I was unaware.  Hell, Clinton is the head of the State Department and we are expected to believe that she does not read communications that come through the State Department from her representatives and ambassador's? What good is she to the State Department id she fails to oversee its operations?

I submit there are paper trails that would clearly show  what communications were received, by whom, and who the communication were passed on to.  I would submit that everyone who had access to the cables, emails, correspondence, etc., should be held accountable and heads should roll. But to date - -nothing! Stonewall and cover up. That's our government in action folks.-And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

BEYONCE PRETENDS TO SING. DOESN'T HAVE THE PIPES TO DO IT ON HER OWN

THE KUHNS REPORT

LAS VEGAS

Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

An inaugural  that was a sham. Why? Because most of the politicians and lawmakers played along.

Beyonce, a wanna be singer lip-syncs the words to the national anthem.Shame on her and all of the  leaders of the country for going along. They stood there like a bunch of ninnies and applauded a record pretending to acknowledge an artists work.

Here's a lady that is afraid to let a performance rise or fall on the merits of her so-called talent. One of her excuses according to her entourage was that she was afraid of making a mistake. What? Hell, if an entertainer performing before a crowd make a boo-boo, so what? People make mistakes and the audience can understand a mistake. At least the mistake would be a real mistake. But to pull the wool over an audiences eyes by "pretending" to sing - - COME ON!

It's sad that a lot of these current performers do what Beyonce is alleged to have done. Rather than use their own voice, backed up by a live band of musicians some of these  current so-called pop icons cut a track in the studio and then use mixers and  electronic magic to help them sound good. What a rip off. The days of Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Humperdinck, Patti Page, etc., are long gone. Those talents used their "own" voice, which was always backed up by live musicians. They got paid for performing, using their own God given talent.

Beyonce, Brittany and others have always taken a shortcut and used technology to make up for their shortcomings and lack of talent. I guess just because a lady has a good body or is attractive any PR person will turn them into a so-called star.

To me, lip-syncing is a no-no, always has been. If I wanted to hear a performer PRETEND to sing I would buy one of their CD's that in all likelihood was manipulated in a sound studio. However, when I want to see a live performance, I expect a live

performance, "good or bad."  Christ, why doesn't Beyonce and all these other bubble gum lip-syncer's carry a karaoke machine under their arm and be up front and tell the audience that everything is pre-recorded and that they're going to sing along to the words already on the CD. Lip-sync is not performing, that's acting and lying. People, if I want karaoke I can go to most any bar in anytown USA and get my fill.

The  upsetting thing to me is because this lady couldn't or wouldn't rehearse with the Marine Corp band, the band had to pick up their instruments and PRETEND they were playing the music. Wow!

As a side note I was a member of the U.S.M.C. band back in the 1950's. Every person in  the band was an exceptional musician. You had to be to make the cut and play with the band. But because of this no talent singer the elite U.S.M.C. band had to  act like a bunch of performing monkeys pretending to be playing music behind Beyonce. What an embarrassment that must have been for the band members.I know it was embarrassing for me to see.

Personally, I would never pay to see a performer lip-sync a performance. Never have, never will. I want the entertainer to preform live  sharing their actual  talent without any assist from ear pieces and pre-recorded tracks. I think that anyone who would pay good money to see someone stand on stage and pretend to sing is a looney tune.

What these new current entertainers should be required to do is issue a disclaimer and tell the audience that they will e pretending to sing the songs and then if the person wants to pay to watch a cheap karaoke performance then it's on them.- And, that's my opinion. Make your own decisions. You decide.

THE KUHNS REPORT

LAS VEGAS

ALLSTATE INSURANCE/PUTNAM SECURITIES-BAD NEWS COMPANIES

Hello America, and how is the world treating you?

This is my annual complaint against two large financial companies who I believe, in my humble opinion are out to scam consumers. One is Allstate Insurance and the other is Putnam Securities.

Here is my story. Years ago I bought a few annuities so I would have some saving when I retired. I bought annuities with Prudential Insurance, Met Life, and Mutual of Omaha. When I finally  retired I annuitized a Prudential  annuity. The company was great . They gave me three options:

1. A life time payout meaning when I die the payments stop. That was the highest monthly benefit.

2. The other options were a 5 and 10 Year certain. I chose the lifetime payments because it paid the most in monthly benefits. Never ever had a problem with Prudential Insurance, nor a problem with New York Life, Mutual of Omaha or Met Life.

I had my checking and saving at Cal Fed (now Citi Bank) and there was a financial adviser there that suggested I cash in my Prudential annuity and buy one with Allstate and Putnam Securities. At the time interest rates were about 6% and the man told me that if I bought the Allstate/ Putnam policy and held it for ten (10 years I would be guaranteed 6% interest and after the ten years I could cash out the policy and do whatever I wanted to do the the monies.

I did just that. I bought the Allstate/Putnam policy and let it sit for the ten years. When the policy matured I Called Allstate and said I wanted to cash out the policy because I wanted to reinvest it in another insurance company. Bam! Here is where the plot thickens. They told me I could not cash out my policy. In fact, I could only annuitize the policy with their company.  That wasn't bad enough, Bam! Another whammie- they said that I could not choose the "Lifetime payout option like Prudential and all the other insurances have. They said I could only  annuitize the policy with  a 10 year certain option. I asked them if they at least had a 5 year option. They said yes, but I would have to wait until I was EIGHTY years old to select that option.

Now keep in mind, all the other insurance companies I had ever dealt with had the three options to select from with the life time pay which would pay me the highest monthly payment and the policy would cease when I die. Not so, with Allstate/ Putnam. They told me I had to select the 10 year certain and I could not move my money from their companies. Basically, I was froze in with these  yo-yo's. I told them that the agent who sold me the policy told me that once the policy matures after the ten years I could do whatever I wanted with the money - -such as move it to another company, or select a "lifetime" payout until I died.

However, these jerk offs sent me a 37 page policy agreement telling me to read it and its terms. Now people, realize that this is the first time since I purchased the annuity that I saw this document. When I purchased the annuity ten years prior all the financial adviser/agent at the bank gave me was one color brochure showing a graph showing how my money would grow over the ten years and the contract I signed transferring my money from Prudential Insurance to Allstate/Putnam. He failed to disclose or mention in any way that I was required to keep my money with Allstate/Putnam nor did he mention I could only  annuitize my money with these con artists.

Every annuity I ever had in my life I selected the "Lifetime payment" because I had no family and that option always paid higher monthly payments . In essence Allstate Insurance Company and Putnam securities did me out of a few hundred dollars a month which I could have been receiving for the rest of my life. The ten (10)option does me no good as a single person. The only benefit  of this annuity policy was clearly in Allstate Insurance and Putnam Securities favor.

Now my monthly benefits from this shady annuity is  hundreds of dollars less a month than what I could have received with most any other top flight insurance company like Prudential, Met Life, New York life or Mutual of Omaha.

I have no love for the so-called financial adviser, Citi Bank and especially Allstate Insurance and Putnam Securities.I am a senior citizen living on a fixed income and having to lose a few hundred dollars a month in income because of these two firms really gripes me. Allstate's motto is: " Your in good hands  with Allstate?" Don't believe it. Personally, I wouldn't recommend  these companies to "anyone". Whenever someone mentions Allstate Insurance or Putnam Securities to me I tell them my story and let that person decide if they want to really do business with companies such as these. It is a true story as what happened to me dealing with these bad guys and after a person here's the story if they still want to look to these companies to do business with, hey - - that's okay with me. To each his own.

I thought of suing Allstate and Putnam but I don't have the money to pursue the matter. I can't afford  attorney's prices. Where are all the contingency lawyers when you need one? Right? These Billion dollar a year insurance and financial companies get away with screwing the little  guys and they will continue to do it over and over again.

That's my story folks. I hope it helps people decide before they buy into a sales pitch full of omissions and lack of disclosure by oily bankers the sleazy  financial crowd.

And,- that's my opinion. You decide. Make your own decisions.
